All work and no play makes you a dull boy! [Open Post/Event]

After the announcement over the network, Splicer set off to break out the snacks he had stored, the drinks and set the out on the club floor. He wanted people to have fun and enjoy some care free time. Morale had been fluctuating as of late and a good head kept the troops going in times of strain. What better way to pick up morale than a good fun time with friends and just kicking back and doing your thing?

That's why he was now occupying his booth and taking any requests for the people that came by, greeting and waving at fellow crew and friends. He intended to make this as fun as possible for each and everyone. Good times seemed to be scarce in the future to come, so he'd do his best to make this one of the good ones.

Anwei came back and put a glass of sparkling water down in front of Ronnae, then takes a seat herself, watching her.

"I suppose a lot of people are feeling pretty worn out right now, eh? With the fighting, and with the repodding. But really, you should take time off for yourself to sleep at least! Maybe you can get Billy to rest as well." A little twinkle in her eye there.

Ronnae smiled appreciatively and laughed a little, though it sounded a bit tired.

"It's hard to get him away from work. In a way, we're both the same in that regard." She looked over at the people who were trying to enjoy themselves and having fun and she smiled weakly.

"It has been a very tiring ride I'll admit... And I only fear that things will only get tougher." she sighed and shook her head before forcing a smile.

"But we gotta keep moving forward right?"

"I know the feeling. Wanting to do everything yourself, because only you can get it right...but that's a bad way to act, sometimes. You're better off helping other people learn your job, because sometimes they do it better than you can. If you're invaluable, you're also the single point of failure."

Her eyes rolled outwards in thought for a moment. "And if we wear ourselves out now, we won't have the inner resources for when the final stretch comes. This is a marathon, not a sprint. We need to pace ourselves, take pleasure when we can," she waves at the other dancers, "and help each other, every step of the race. The prize is too great for us to do otherwise."

Ronnae blinked and stayed silent for a few moments. For whatever reason what Anwei had said ringed more true than she had even thought. She looked around the room for a few moments before turning to Anwei and smiling sheepishly.

"You know... y-you're right... I g-guess I never thought about it that way." She let out a small sigh and relaxed in her chair. "Maybe I should go home and sleep for once... maybe I'll actually get more than a couple of hours."

"There will be other dances, Ronnae. Have some water, go home and sleep. In the matter of proper rest, you will simply have to lead by example!"

She snored, loudly, for effect.

Ronnae had to laugh at that, covering her mouth timidly and nodded.

"Yeah, sometimes I think we're trying to see which one of us goes to sleep first so the other can work some more. It's a bit silly..."

She stood up shakily and bowed low towards Anwei.

"Thank you... It was fun and I really liked talking with you again. We should meet up later on."

[anwei]

"Very silly. You should pelt him with pillows if that's what it takes to get him to bed." A gentle pelting, with little pillows.

Anwei curtsied in reply. "We will meet, I will make sure of that."
