Welcome, All Ye Magickians [Open]
Though he hadn't made any formal statements yet, Aibghalien made no secret of the fact that he intended to propose moving the Magic Department's headquarters to this building. As elegant and useful as the Jedi Temple was, he still had no idea what a Jedi was nor how it related to magic or the supernatural. But this building... This building was built for magic.
Already he found more and more excuses to come here, to the point that his old office and lab were practically abandoned these days. So a person who had interest in joining the department, or who simply wished to consult with him on a matter of magic, could find him there most readily, doing paperwork at his desk or examining some curious item to figure out what made it tick.
[Especially for new crew members interested in joining the department, but open to all!]

"Well, that's good to know. Hopefully I'll give it a run for its money!"

Once she got in, Lina picked a side of the arena, and started to work, first by summoning up a golem. "Heeeey, Mister Golem~! Go stand over there," Lina says and points. "And stand real still, okay?" After all, gotta have a target for things...
Lina then sets out to slinging out various spells - at least the ones she felt comfortable testing here. No Giga Slave or Ragna Blade here - at the golem, and the resulting rubble pile once the thing fell to pieces. (It didn't take too long...)
Time passes, and as it goes on, Lina appears to be tiring from expending so much energy on spells. Eventually, though, she starts one long incantation, summoning a glowing ball of energy that kicked up a fair amount of wind.
"Darkness beyond twilight, crimson beyond blood that flows; buried in the flow of time, in thy great name, I pledge myself to darkness! All the fools who stand in our way shall be destroyed by the power you and I possess! DRAGON SLAVE!"
KABOOM!

"Yes," he said, as the carnage finally settled and the ringing in his ears subsided. "I see what you mean. That is a powerful spell indeed."

"That's a pleasant change," he said, smiling. "At the moment the department is rather oriented towards attack, destruction, and combat-enhancement spells. Which have their place, and an important one, but it would be very helpful to have more access to quality-of-life, maintenance, and specific spells."

"Well then. I suppose I should welcome you in formally, so, welcome aboard. I'm afraid there's not much ceremony, though I could conjure up an illusory processional if it'd make the moment seem more special."

Knowingly, he added, "Besides, it takes a great deal of effort and willpower to have proficiency in magic, so being a little set in ways comes with the territory." He has a decent Sense Motive check, Lina, and he's on to you... playfully, at least.
