Wendy Watson had been lucky enough to find canvas, an easel, and some paints in the weapons and possessions locker earlier. She hadn't thought to look for them earlier, but after having gotten curious...well, the surprise was definitely a pleasant one. Especially since the few times she'd tried to paint something in the Sensorium, she hadn't been able to leave with her art. Such was the nature of holograms and the like, you know.

Currently, Wendy was seated in a corner of the Obs Deck, her back to everyone, painting. It was clear she was nearly finished with her work, and it was clear that the work of art - if one could call it that - that she was working on a was a close approximation of a yeerk. There was a half-smile on her face - more from the fact that she was painting again than from the fact that she was proud of her painting, although the pop-arty nature of her latest work certainly wasn't bad. Granted, Wendy wasn't sure how many people would appreciate a painting of a Yeerk.

"I don't know if that applies to...someone with his abilities," Wendy replied. "Not that I actually remember the arc..."

"Arc? Wh-" The gears in her mind started clicking. "...Comic book?"

"..." Wendy smiled brightly. "Uh. Yeah." She waved. "I'm Wendy, by the way. Wendy Watson."

Cassie sighed. "Well they couldn't have messed it up worse than they did in my world." Seriously, she'd read the Young Avengers comic book that had been printed in her world. It was bad.

"Cassie Lang, but you know that all ready."

"And lots more besides," Wendy replied. "But don't worry. I promise not to give you any spoilers."

"Gee, thanks." She said flatly. "Do me a favor? Drop the Kang the Conqueror thing."

"Can I keep the Lang the Conquered bit?"

"Please don't."

"Not so fond of nicknames, I take it?" Wendy didn't blame her. While she put up with Dub-Dub, and while she was warming up to Dubbie...she could relate.

"Not when they deal with my ex boyfriend. Who wasn't Kang at the time." Why yes, she did treat them like two different people.

Wendy tilted her head and studied Cassie for a moment. "Just out of curiousity, what's the last thing you remember before you podpopped?"

"The last thing I remember? I was doing my homework. Nothing exciting, sorry."

"Yeah, I'll say. They don't usually show all that on panel. Huh." Wendy tucked back a lock of her hair. "Anyway. I'll stop the Kang stuff. Mostly. Really."

"Thanks. And actually, don't mention to my friends that we're in a comic book." She paused. "And he wasn't Kang."

Wendy nods her head, smiling. "Don't worry. You're safe. I don't want to cause any undue problems on board. Especially if we, you know, get sent back to where we were first taken from with any memories of this." Also, she thought, to not cause any issues on board.

"Yeah, cause- yeah. I just hope I haven't wiped Billy and Teddy from existence if we get sent back with all our memories."

"I...you...what?" Wendy raised an eyebrow. "What do you mean?"

"I didn't mean to say that! I uh," Well maybe Wendy could reassure her that it wasn't going to happen. "I uh, Iron Lad- or well, younger Kang, I don't know which, I talked to him..."

"And you told him all about what he tried to do," Wendy guessed, filling in the blanks, "and what happened because of what he did."

[staturity]

"Yeah." Cassie looked away. "I know he remembers me. I can see it on his face. He's- why am I telling you this?" She looked back at Wendy.

"You needed some girl talk and I'm sitting right here?"

"Well, yeah." Cassie smiled nervously. "And maybe you can tell me if my fear is justified."

Wendy considered this for a moment before carefully saying, "Well, I don't think it will be, because I'm counting on us getting mind-wiped before we go home again. But...you never know?"

[staturity]

"Mind wiped?" Cassie's face fell. "I hope not. I don't want to be- I don't want to go through that again." Oh God, either way she was going to be losing Iron Lad again, wasn't she?

Wendy bit her lip. It was almost as though she could see a thought bubble above Cassie's head - not that there was one there. "I know. It sucks. But...it's for the good of the multiverse. And all that."
