The MiddleArtist [Open!]
Wendy Watson had been lucky enough to find canvas, an easel, and some paints in the weapons and possessions locker earlier. She hadn't thought to look for them earlier, but after having gotten curious...well, the surprise was definitely a pleasant one. Especially since the few times she'd tried to paint something in the Sensorium, she hadn't been able to leave with her art. Such was the nature of holograms and the like, you know.
Currently, Wendy was seated in a corner of the Obs Deck, her back to everyone, painting. It was clear she was nearly finished with her work, and it was clear that the work of art - if one could call it that - that she was working on a was a close approximation of a yeerk. There was a half-smile on her face - more from the fact that she was painting again than from the fact that she was proud of her painting, although the pop-arty nature of her latest work certainly wasn't bad. Granted, Wendy wasn't sure how many people would appreciate a painting of a Yeerk.

That she knew of.
It didn't catch on, did it?
She twirled the paintbrush in her hand and grinned at the Middleman. "Here's hoping they don't chase me into the Sensoriums just so they can create pitchforks and torches and chase after me," she said dryly. While doing paintings of the weird things she came across was normal for Wendy, she wasn't quite sure how her fellow crew members would take it.

Cassie turned bright red. "How do you know about that?" Was Kate talking? Oh she would KILL her!

"Wow, I didn't know you could paint Larry King. Nice work capturing the jowls."

Thankfully, Wendy Watson wasn't any lesser person.
That doesn't mean she wasn't caught off guard though. Man, what I wouldn't give to have Spidey senses of my own. "Thanks," she said dryly, "maybe next I'll get to paint Stephen Colbert. Or, you know, you."

"Do you do commissions?" he asks, "I would kill for something to remind me what the Baldwins looked like before they all simultaneously let themselves go."

She chuckled, though, and swiveled around so she was facing him. "Beyond Stephen? Not that cute. Billy had a pretty cute bottom though. My mom was an Alec fan." All of this was delivered point blank. "And it depends on how much selling out the commission requires. If I can turn the Baldwin brothers into a hunky multi-headed monster, and add in Adam Baldwin for kicks, I'm all for it."

He took Wendy's offered hand. "Nice to meet you Wendy."
