If You Need a Doctor, I'll Examine Every Inch of You [Phys Evals; Open]

Ever since the medical briefing on the comms, the medical bay staff has been preparing for an influx of appointments for physical evaluations, as well as a few walk-ins. After that, the hunt will be on for those who've been skipping such appointments.

A few of the staff members are going about their regular duties, expecting patients or simply biding time at the coffee machine until they're called on.

[OOC: please state the name of which med character(s) you want to administer the evaluation in the header to your comment. If you're fine with anyone tagging in, please indicate so. Available characters are Sakura, Howard, Dr. Faiza Hussain, Soren and Dr. Carson Beckett.]

Kyladriss looked down at the man who entered and then over to the bed he indicated. She eyed it critically for a moment and judged that it wouldn't stand up very well to her runeblade.

"What will this examination entail?" she asked. Slowly, because she was aware that her movements were generally perceived as threatening, she removed the greatsword from her back and sat down on the bed, laying it across her lap.

Carson certainly is intimidated, but he's trying not to let it show, smiling genuinely as his patient takes a seat.

"It's mostly to see if you're doing well, adjusting to being taken from your natural environment. Also, it's to find out about non-humans and the best way of treating you in an emergency."

He takes out his omnicomm to take notes. "Any more questions before we start?"

Kyladriss started to shake her head, then paused. "Will you require an examination of my human form as well, and would you prefer to start with that or my current shape?" She'd come without her armor on because she supposed a physical examination would require her to take it off anyway.

She can smell his nervousness, but she isn't going to say anything as long as he keeps his movements similarly non-threatening.

Carson has to be the least-threatening person there is. He's going to keep himself calm and professional, despite the nervousness.

"That depends, I would guess..." He rubs his chin, thinking. "I'm afraid I haven't come across a species like yours. Is this form your regular one?"

Kyladriss wrinkled her nose and snorted, one ear twitching. This is why she had not wanted to come. "I am not typical for my species," she said. "I was human, at one time. Then I became worgen. However, I find that I spend more time in this form than I do my birth body."

There was more than a little bitterness in her low, growling tones. She didn't like talking about herself, or about her condition. That's all this encounter would be about. She rolled her shoulders to try and get her hackles to settle.

"So you would say that most human ailments would affect you, aye?"

Carson notes something down. "Are there any specific worgen illnesses you can be inflicted with? Anything life-threatening that would require specific treatment?"

He's trying to make this go as fast as possible.

That's okay! Backtag FOREVER :D

The question startled Kyladriss into laughing - a gravely, snarling sound that was probably more unsettling than her smile. "I do not get ill. Neither do I get tired, or require food or drink." She focused on Carson with her cold glowing eyes. "As well as my worgen curse, I have been afflicted by undeath. To put it precisely, my body is a corpse. I inhabit it."

She watched for his reaction, her ears laid back and her muscles tense. Most were afraid, if not wary, when she revealed the intimate truth of her nature.
