[dated to After the Bees but before GLADoS date experiment] [wide open once she's been seated]
Jinx hadn't been to this cafe yet, she was aware of it as much as anything else on the ship but so far it was one of the few places she hadn't explored first hand. But Diana was a perfect excuse to see if it was worth the price of admission (free).
She had spent a fair amount of time in cafe's and diners back on her own world in her own universe. It was a peaceful escape from her own team mates where she could have some coffee or a soda, a slice of pie and just people watch. Sometimes she would draw, sometimes she would listen to music and marvel at how easy it was for a girl with pink hair and eyes to blend into the back round of other peoples lives.
It was a necessity as well. Jinx's powers as wonderful and helpful as they were for most of her life seemed to have one major flaw. Any time she tried to cook something more complicated then a bowl of cereal or a sandwich something went horribly wrong. She'd been thrown out of her Home Ec. Class at Hive Academy because of one particularly messy incident involving an automatic mixer and the instructors ponytail.
So making other people cook for her was much easier and more satisfying. A life of petty crime afforded her more then enough to live off the culinary skills of other people.
Back in the moment Jinx scanned the entrance way to see if she should seat herself, or wait to be seated.

"Well, I wouldn't want you to get in trouble, but if you can spare me your company between work I'll promise you a big tip." She winked playfully and blew a kiss to be extra sappy and instantly regretting it.
no subject
"Make it so you're paying for my lunch too and I suppose I could make something work."
She gestured for Jinx to sit at one of the tables, leaning in far closer than needed once the girl was seated, hair tumbling down in a curtain to brush Jinx's face, giving her a rather nice view of Diana's more 'shapely' assets.
"What can I do for you?" Jinx was too easy sometimes.
no subject
The seat was comfortable enough, and the view was delightful thanks to the flirtatious dark haired girl.
"I was thinking of starting with my dessert first." She purred in a suggestive tone and then more lightly "What can you suggest?"

She pulled away and headed for the kitchen so Jinx could have the full show as she walked away.
Pro squawked and hopped about infront of the pink haired teen, as if trying to engage her in conversation. This was promptly stopped when Diana returned and placed a basket of bread on the table. Pro quickly attacked one of the rolls.
Settling herself into the chair opposite Jinx's, she put two plates on the table, one infront of herself, the other infront of the other girl. On each sat a delicious looking, fluffy slice of pie and hidden underneath its surface was a layer of crushed pineapple, the main ingredient.
Diana lifted a forkful of her (slightly larger) piece to her mouth, eyes flashing teasingly. "I told you I know what you like."
no subject
Of all the fruits, pineapple meant something special to Jinx. That sweet firm fruit meant tropical warm success. Beaches and swim suits and colorful drinks.
And since she was sure she'd only mentioned it to Diana maybe once...Jinx couldn't help but feel her pale cheeks burn pink. "You really, really do know." She mused feeling her stomach flip and twist. It was sweeter then even the fruit.
no subject
"If I told you that, how would I keep you interested?"
Diana's sly foot hooked itself around Jinx's calf and slowly stroked along the teens perfectly formed, slender leg.
no subject
"You'll have NO trouble keeping me interested." She promised with a tingle of amusment.

"Hey Jinx," she called out from across the cafe. "Enjoying yourself?"
no subject
"Glad to hear it."
Just as she begins buttering it, Pro starts flapping about infront of her and making noise, desperate for her attention. She ignores him all throughout his attempts until it looks like he's about to attempt a somersault in desperation, then she rips a chunk of bread and tosses to him. He's immediately pacified and gobbles it up.
Diana turns around in her seat to smile and wave at Mindy. "Hope it's okay I'm taking my break now, cutie." Employer and employee status or not, Diana still enjoyed using that name.

The last part was directed at Diana with a wink as Jinx offered Diana a piece of pineapple speared on her fork.
no subject
Annoying, but not to much of a big deal.
"Yeah, go ahead," she said, shaking her head. "And yeah, point on Jinx, Really should start charging people at this point."
no subject
She leant forward, opening her mouth and taking the piece offered to her, giving Jinx a view of her chest. Licking the cream of her lips, she stayed where she was, eyes fixed on Jinx.
“I’ve told her about charging. After all, it might actually mean a wage.” Diana said, spreading a few more crumbs out across the table, which Pro happily pecked up.
“I am doing this out of the ‘kindness of my heart’.” Her tone was mocking and Diana turned back around to flash a pretty smile at Mindy. “Not that I don’t enjoy spending time with you, cutie. Why do you think I keep coming back?” Apart from the free food.
no subject
"You and your big giving heart." She added when Diana called back to Mindy. Sharp eyes caught Mindy's reaction and a wicked smirk crossed her features. Could it be she wasn't the only one Diana had wrapping around those clever fingers.
no subject
"You stay because you got nothing better to do," Mindy said, "just like I do it because I need a hobby. That's what they keep telling me anyway."
Blatant lie, considering the frame above the door, but no one had to know that!
"I just gotta figure what I would charge."
no subject
She brushed her cheek with Jinx’s, eyes still on her young boss. “Jinx likes seeing me.”
no subject
Bringing herself back to reality she finished off her pie with rose in her cheeks and winked at Mindy playfully to see if she too could play along with Diana's game. She was of course on Diana's team so it made things easier. "It's hard to take your eyes off her sometimes."
no subject
And at the last statement, she shook her head. "I like seeing you just fine. This place is hard enough to manage without help." Man it was good she was Mindy now. "But I hear you, Jinx. She's pretty cool."
no subject
As Diana deliberately laid her open hand on the table for Jinx to see she flashed a sharp toothed smile, amusement clear in her eyes. Clearly, flirting with others infront of Jinx could not instill guilt in Diana. "The boss likes me. Does this mean I get a raise?"
no subject
Then to Mindy "Just remember cutie," Adopting Diana's nickname for her "Dining isn't just about the meal, it's the experience. The memories." Somehow even those words sounded like they had a deeper more inviting meaning to them.
no subject
"No thanks," she said, "got my hands full. Good offer though!"
If you wanted a viking to come after you.
"Yeah yeah, but enough with the cutie stuff! the name is Mindy!"
no subject
Diana half closed her fingers around Jinx's in a sort-of hand-hold. With her free hand though she flicked the pink haired girls nose. "Yeh, enough of 'the cutie stuff'. I've got that copyrighted you know."
Another shout out to Mindy, because it was too much fun. "You're my cutie, aren't you, boss?"
no subject
A bit of leftover pineapple on her plate inspired her and she took up a piece balancing it on her fingertip and offering it to Diana, fully aware this was a great way to lose that fingertip.
no subject
"Any more cutie talk and you're helping me wash all the dishes tonight Diana," she warned, hiding a grin. "And watch that finger, Jinx."
no subject
Rolling her eyes at their jokes, she looks at pineapple on Jinx's finger then carefully leans in to wrap her lips around it, smirking.
