The Day. The Drama. The...love, we hope.
Who: Ronnae, Billy, and various wedding guests!
Where: In Light's Hope Chapel, with party to follow at the Drunken Dragon Tavern.
What: Two are getting married. Will someone faint from shock? Will anything break? Will it be a happy night? Stay tuned!
After preparation, anticipation, and vivid memories of nights they won't soon forget, Ronnae and Billy are finally ready for a little ceremony.'Little' was what they had in mind, but there was a chance it could end up being a relative term.
The location was the Light's Hope Chapel in the City, a tiny little place with enough memorial statues and open space to give a majestic, hopeful atmosphere. There were no singing birds or bright skies, just a little shelter from the world in which to have a dedication as lifemates. That would be more than enough for them.
What were the right words to say? The ins and outs of dancing? The foods on the table? Theyd' find out soon enough, creating a day to remember. Whether that remembrance was fairy-tale sweet or a simple overcoming of the odds would remain to be seen.

He shook his head. "It's okay! Everyone's more emotionally observant than usual today, it's to be expected."

"That's as much cake as you want to eat?" he questioned, then reached out to grab the edge of her plate.

"I was going to suggest that you feed him, but it's too late for that isn't it."
They were doing the tradition entirely the wrong way. He didn't care.

"If not, I will gladly stuff my face alongside you if it makes you feel any better," Nokosi said, then opened his mouth.

Why are you putting her on the spot like that?

It's strangely endearing. Ronnae was correct---they both were.
"Choo choo?"

Nokosi took a large bite of the cake and slowly chewed, then licked any remaining frosting from his lips. He then leaned his head in close, mouth near her ear.
"It is a day for celebration, so celebrate a little. As I understand it, it is a day unlike any other and one you will not be able to repeat, as Billy is your one and only."

"I, s-sorry!" she replied quickly, picking up the tray and placing it back on the table as she cleaned it. "I'll c-clean it up! S-sorry..." she said again as she took a napkin to try and clean the small bits and pieces of the cake that had been on the tray she was carrying.

"Believe me, this wasn't the worst thing that could happen. Back at home, every time I appeared in the general vicinity of a cake, someone would fall into it without fail."
He smiled hopefully at her. Come on, Ronnie, cheer up!
