The Day. The Drama. The...love, we hope.

Who: Ronnae, Billy, and various wedding guests!
Where: In Light's Hope Chapel, with party to follow at the Drunken Dragon Tavern.
What: Two are getting married. Will someone faint from shock? Will anything break? Will it be a happy night? Stay tuned!

After preparation, anticipation, and vivid memories of nights they won't soon forget, Ronnae and Billy are finally ready for a little ceremony.'Little' was what they had in mind, but there was a chance it could end up being a relative term.

The location was the Light's Hope Chapel in the City, a tiny little place with enough memorial statues and open space to give a majestic, hopeful atmosphere. There were no singing birds or bright skies, just a little shelter from the world in which to have a dedication as lifemates. That would be more than enough for them.

What were the right words to say? The ins and outs of dancing? The foods on the table? Theyd' find out soon enough, creating a day to remember. Whether that remembrance was fairy-tale sweet or a simple overcoming of the odds would remain to be seen.

Traditionally, the people to be married separate, only to be reunited on center stage, whether that was at an altar or simply in front of a row of chairs. They're preparing separately, waiting to see how this goes. Maybe there should've been a rehearsal dinner after all?

It's time! Two of the shiest and most private members of the crew are going to express their feelings in front of a small crowd. What kind of terrible idea was this, anyway?

Both of them will now meet in the chamber, joining in front of their little audience. Blending in with the massive crowd in Orongo had certainly been easier!

There's a tavern. There are drinks. There might even be food if they're lucky! Talk, take pictures if someone has a camera, eat, drink...and do try not to start any bar fights or break property.

Billy was standing in a small house near the chapel, running through the little speech he'd prepared for the twenty-eighth time. He carried it on a crumpled piece of paper in one hand, mouthing the words yet again. He also hadn't bothered to change into his clothing for the ceremony yet, but that won't take long: he's just morphing and removing the helmet.

"You came to me at one of the worst times in my life...no. Too sentimental. It's true, but too sentimental." He scribbled out another line, casting a brief glance at the gift he'd hung over a hat stand. "All for you, love. I have to make this worth it."

((Open to any guys who might want to laugh/be part of the party.))

"Hey! What's up? Shouldn't you be preparing for the wedding?"

In other words, why wasn't Billy in a tux?

"Oh---hey!" Billy greeted him, looking startled. When did Atom get in here? Not that he had time to figure that out. He took another glance at his lines and shook his head.

"I am preparing. Reading over my vows again, but I'm still trying to revise them." Missing the point that he still looked like a mess.

Ronnae on the other hand was handling things as best she could. By smashing countless enemies inside the sensorium-made scenario. Oddly enough it would clear her mind and allow her to think about everything and she had to say that she was both excited and nervous beyond belief.

After decimating countless foes she looked back towards the sensorium door and narrowed her eyes, she should be getting ready just about now, if anything so she could have some extra alone time before the wedding took place. Slinging her weapons over her shoulder, she rushed off to her home to get refreshed and ready for the ceremony, she would have enough time for that and polishing her armor and weapons before having to head down to Light's Hope...

The place which she held so dear would be the place of their engagement huh? She wondered what her parents would say... and her siblings... There was no better wish that wanting them desperately to be here with her today, on this most special of days... but she knew that wouldn't be the case.

With one last look at the house after getting ready, Ronnae began her walk towards the Chapel, going over everything in her head.

Is this really happening? Isn't this just a dream? Or maybe even a nightmare waiting to happen... Something that Yogg'Saron, C'thun, or even Stacy planned to simply take my happiness away...

Ronnae took a deep breath, closing her eyes and focusing on the now. If it was just a dream, she'd wake up with a smile, if it was a nightmare, she'd fight back, if it was real... If it was real, then she'd enjoy it to the fullest. Just being here, right now, dream or not was making her blush heavily, if anything, the rapid beating of her heart and the warmth of her blushed cheeks made it all the more comforting.

Billy was having similar thoughts. It hardly felt real. It seemed like just yesterday they were covering each other in paint and kneeling awkwardly in front of a priest they were just meeting.

This couldn't be more different. They came dressed in their preferred battle armor, they had an audience of close friends, and they were writing their own commitment. No pressure here---this was real, their own choice. Something he'd been hoping to do 'properly' for a while.

He started up the pathway to the center with some nervous flutters still in his chest, the gift clutched tightly in his gloved fist.

That was when he saw her. Ronnae, dressed in her formal armor and looking strong and proud. She'd' been training this morning, hadn't she? She had that look about her. How clever! He felt himself blush as they came face to face...here they stood as they were, warriors, partners, and lovers.

"Hi," Billy whispered, forgetting for a moment that this was against proper decorum. He couldn't help talking to her. They had to reassure themselves that they'd get through this.

"H-hey." she timidly whispered back.

She did her best to hide it, but it was clear that Ronnae didn't take her eyes off him ever since she caught sight of him as he approached. Every step bringing closer and closer to her and ever one of them making her heart skip a beat.

This was it wasn't it? She did her best to focus on him, it would hep her a great deal when it came to her anxiety and her nervousness. He had a way of making her feel at ease.

"You ready to get hitched, Red?" Punchy runs into her on the way to the Chapel. He's all dressed up for the event too. "Props, shawty. You found a good one."

Atom hadn't been sneaking around. No, certainly not!

He did grin at Billy, though. "Hey, don't worry about it so much. I'm sure your wife will like them no matter what!"

Clearly he wasn't familiar with pre-wedding jitters.

Ronnae turned to face Punchy and blushed slightly but smiled, giving a small nod.

"I did d-didn't I?" she said in a small voice before letting out a small breath.

"I'd be lying if I said I wasn't nervous... but y-yeah, I think I'm ready."

And there is also music! Punchy's set up a turntable he must have picked up on some shore leave and is playing some romantic jazz music. Where he acquired taste in jazz music may be a mystery never solved.

"Yo, boss! Nice service!"

"No better time than now, right?" Punchy never really knows what to say in big social situations like this, besides congratulations. "You the only shawty I ever seen him take time off work for."

Well there were lots of times they could have done so, but with the chaotic nature of this war, maybe Punchy had a point.

She blushed at the comment and brushed one of her long bangs off her face only to have it fall back again.

"Y-yeah, I g-guess you're right heh."

"I know. But she's not the only one watching, you know?" He strode over to the door and peeked out, watching a trickle of people enter the chapel.

"I also know that the meaning's decided by us, and she's the one who really matters. It's all a little overwhelming." Billy tugged the collar of his shirt. Ah, maybe he'd better morph soon. At least the suit was somewhat temperature controlled.

Billy couldn't stop his smile for the world. Ronnae looked so radiant, so bright, so happy...he only hoped he could match that. Quietly dropping his gift into the pouch he usually used for his blaster, he offered his hands when she was close enough.

"Ready for this?"

"You should be thanking the others," Billy called back over the music, "including yourself! You're doing so much for us!"

He was very happy with all the work. He grinned at everyone he passed, far less restrained in his emotions than usual. If any night was a good night to be happy, this was it.

Ronnae placed her own onto his, gripping just slightly seeking comfort. It was clear the girl was nervous yet eager.

She gave him a small nod and mouthed I love you with a sheepish smiled before taking a breath. She was as ready as she would ever be.

Atom gave Billy a smile. "But they're all your friends, right? I'm sure they want you to do well, too."

While he didn't really envision ever getting married himself (how? with who?), Atom had met a number of couples who had, even after a long time spent together, still loved each other very much. He thought Billy and Ronnae would likely do the same.

And that was... nice. It was nice seeing people who cared about each other. Even if that made them nervous during a ceremony or two.

"I love you too," he whispered back, smiling just for her. Their faces were close enough that he could almost shut out the rest of the chapel. She was what he was here for.

"All right," he said more loudly, turning to face the little audience. He shifted so that one hand was always clasped in Ronnae's. "I think we all know why we're here today, so I'll spare you mundane details in favor of saying this."

Billy took that moment to look over at her, studying her beautiful eyes. The sight of them always calmed him down, and today was no different.

"We stand before you today because we were brought together by chance. And over time, something truly miraculous happened."

His smile was small, just for her. ""Ronnae...you've changed me for the better. I healed like I never thought I would, I've learned a lot, met wonderful friends...and we even got some great work done!"

This was Billy talking, after all. He would never stop talking about work. Awkward.

"In the course of that work, I married you before, when we were dealing with an impossible mission. It wasn't our choice. But this is," he said, withdrawing the item from the pouch on his belt. It was a glittering necklace with a sun pendant, a central jewel surrounded by crystal spikes that swirled outward. Set in the center of the central red jewel was a shining white heart-shape.

"I wanted to give you something better than paint and grass skirts for our wedding day," he admitted with a quiet chuckle. He extended his hands again, offering to place it on her---if she'd accept it.

It was really a good thing that he was wearing his uniform gloves. Sweaty and shaking hands would not do.

"I know. I think I can trust them, but who knows what they'll do at the reception." Embarrassing stories? Billy wasn't looking forward to that particular tradition at all.

"Luckily it's a short ceremony. I won't have to be there for that long." Good, right? He raked a hand through his hair, silently mouthing part of the speech again. What a mess.

"You look wonderful."

Kaya was going to be present for this, bright and early and without fail. She was usually dressed in blue, for today she had decided to go in a simpler yellow sundress, and surprisingly, it worked with her today. Of course she would be going to see her Bonded, but first was looking over at wishing her best to the bride. That included keeping up with her, but Kaya liked a challenge.

"I know you'll see me soon, but I just wanted you to know: couldn't be any more happier for you two."

Kaya was out of breath and a little sweaty, not that it mattered. Waterbenders were pretty much impervious to looking like they did anything less than gliding onto the scene, and so sweat was something easily managed. She could see that Billy was wracking his brain (what else was new?) and she wanted to wish him well.

Don't over think this. It will come, trust me. All the words will be there, they're just waiting for you to say them. You've grown enough to know them by heart.
