The Day. The Drama. The...love, we hope.

Who: Ronnae, Billy, and various wedding guests!
Where: In Light's Hope Chapel, with party to follow at the Drunken Dragon Tavern.
What: Two are getting married. Will someone faint from shock? Will anything break? Will it be a happy night? Stay tuned!

After preparation, anticipation, and vivid memories of nights they won't soon forget, Ronnae and Billy are finally ready for a little ceremony.'Little' was what they had in mind, but there was a chance it could end up being a relative term.

The location was the Light's Hope Chapel in the City, a tiny little place with enough memorial statues and open space to give a majestic, hopeful atmosphere. There were no singing birds or bright skies, just a little shelter from the world in which to have a dedication as lifemates. That would be more than enough for them.

What were the right words to say? The ins and outs of dancing? The foods on the table? Theyd' find out soon enough, creating a day to remember. Whether that remembrance was fairy-tale sweet or a simple overcoming of the odds would remain to be seen.

"Oh, is it now?" Jamie affects to look surprised by the revelation, although it's exaggerated enough that one could likely figure out he's not surprised at at all. "And here I thought that you'd gone and made that type of vow a long time ago."

He grins outright, then, clearly having entirely too much fun with the teasing. "And ye can threaten revenge all ye like, Billy, but we've no plans to get married any time soon. Ye might have a bit of a wait there."

"Well, ye are about to get married," Jamie points out. "I'd say that you're allowed to be impatient for that, too."

He's not worried about Billy's threats when it comes to his own wedding. Patient or no, the fact remains that right now, he's nowhere near ready to be married. And if it ever did happen, he's thinking it'll likely be far enough down the road that Billy'll have forgotten his vow to do so.

"Anyway, it'll not be long now. What else do ye need me to do for ye to help ye get ready?"

"You're getting married to a beautiful woman and you're worried ye might dawdle?", Jamie asks, a note of disbelief in his voice. He knows Billy might be nervous, but he can't quite fathom the idea that he'd stall long enough that it could be problem.

No worries, though. Since they don't have to do anything like kidnap the bride for the wedding, he'll be free to make sure that happens. "Aye, well. I'll make sure that ye get there right enough. Even if I have to drag ye there myself."

He's certainly not worried about that. Anything that's been knocked over can be picked up later - although he does have to quickly step to one side to avoid having one of those things falling on his feet. Boots or no boots, the wee box-thing looks heavy, and he'd rather not risk finding out if the boots were sturdy enough to stand up to it.

Once that's past, he waits as patiently as he can during the last minute preparations, knowing that they won't take long. Still, despite himself, there's a small, rather Scottish noise that manages to escape when the groom decides to fuss with his hair yet again. He looks perfectly fine, in Jamie's opinion, and it's only with a fair amount of effort that he doesn't steer Billy out of the room then and there.

Finally, it seems though they're about ready to go, and he takes a step forward in preparation for going out and taking his place out front when Billy stops. For a moment, he wonders if he really is going to have to bodily pull his best friend out there so he can get married already. Then what Billy says sinks in.

He's touched - more than he thinks he can say, and his lips curl into a small smile. Reaching out to his friend, he grasps his arm warmly, letting that speak for him for a few seconds while he finds the words to say what he wants to in return.

"Aye. I don't know if I'll ever see my one brother again, let alone see him get married. But at least I'll know my other one's found happiness with the woman he loves."

"Forgive ye for what?" But the answer to that's more or less made perfectly clear a half-second later when he's pulled towards his ship-brother and into a hug.

Strange, out of the two of them, Jamie thought he would have been the one more likely to do the hug. Billy's a little more reserved, although he has been slowly growing out of that lately. Then again, Jamie's not the one getting married, so it does make a sort of sense - and he's glad enough to return the hug and add a congratulatory sort of thumping at the end of it.

Then, with a touch of his crooked smile, he nods his head towards the chapel proper. "All right, let's go. Your wife is waiting for ye."
