Welcome to the place that's the talk of the night life amongst all of Happy Happy Fun World! Where the party starts when the sun goes down! This is Indulgence Cove, the one stop to satisfy all your needs. To reach this location you must take a boat so you can reach the small island where it is located, but from as far as the mainland you can see the lights that shine through the night and the sounds of people having fun and partying.

Indulgence Cove has the biggest boardwalk shopping center in all of HHFW, what could be better than a full night of shopping in expensive stores that carry everything you'd ever need?! Pleasure Boardwalk has rows upon rows of stores and bigger establishments! From games, to the hottest fashion, music, toys, shoes, vintage, hundreds of souvenir shops, books, food markets with the best of the best ingredients money could buy, even raw materials! cloth, ores, parts, electronics, you name it! If it could be sold, or bought? It was here. Enter the Pleasure Boardwalk, and you might be leaving with no credits to your name!

Shopping not your thing? How about entertainment?! Nightlife Bay has THE hottest in shows, concerts, dance clubs, movie theaters, and more! Looking for something more racy? Go to the Red Light Central where the more raunchy and adventurous head into for a night they'll never forget and possibly won't speak about in public!

Want to simply kick it for the night and relax? Maybe want somewhere to stay or spend a special night with a loved one, or maybe one of the people you met during your vacation? Go to Sunrise Hill and stay in the many hotels that Indulgence Cove has to offer! They come in a wide variety of themes, from fun and energetic, to soothing and relaxing! The staff will make sure you leave your worry and your money behind!

All throughout Indulgence Cove you'll be seeing street performers, merchants, surprise shows, free gift booths, show girls, party boys, and much more! The night is forever young in the Cove, won't you come and let us make your dreams come true?

Mai avoided fun for fun. It was how she lived her life and she'd be damned if some Air Bender was going to break her streak of bleakness and hatred now.

"It sounds like it wants to give me a headache," Mai responded dryly, "...and my name is Mai."

"Aww come on. As long as you're here, don't you wanna learn some sweet new moves?"

Another woman (who appeared to have a troupe) was taking up the space Nima had cleared with her airbending. The DJ must have been expecting her, because the music changed.

" . . . like those. Those sweet new moves." Nima bounced by Mai's side, torn between wanting to get the girl to bust a move, and wanting to try to copy the lady's dancing.

"I don't want to learn any moves."

Mai eyed the newcomer and then rolled her eyes. That reminded her a bit too much of Ty Lee and the way she teased and flirted with just about anyone.

"I don't particularly feel like showing off, if you hadn't noticed," Mai continued, lifting an arm to show off the robes she wore.

"You don't need to show off, but there's GOTTA be something you want to do more than sit around. Doesn't the beat get to you? At all?"

Nima's begun dancing in place as they talk. It's not showing-off kind of dancing. The beat is just that good.

"Come on. It's fun."

"It makes me want to leave," Mai droned. Sorry, Nima. She's immune to most of your charms.

"But you're still here."

So she must not want to leave THAT bad! Surely!

"Come oooon. You might as well try it. Since you're here."

"No."

Mai scowled. She didn't like crowds at the best of time.s Right now, she positively hated it. It was too warm, there were too many people and they were all standing far too close to her.

Nima sighed and flopped down next to Mai. The sudden breeze as she landed stirred the heavy air in the crowd, which at least helped with that 'warm' problem.

"You're not a big crowd person, are you?"

"What was your first clue?" Mai asked sarcastically. Took the woman long enough to figure that out.

"But you still came out here."

Man, this is some prime dance time Nima is skipping out on, but in the end, is not all transcendent joy of physical movement fleeting? Kinda.

"Why? You could have gone away at any time."

"Maybe I like being miserable."

If there was one thing Mai was good at, it was snark.

Nima responds with sincerity. "Maybe you do. Maybe you don't resist negative cycles, because negative cycles are all you know. Is it hard for you to break away when someone insists you do something?"

When did this go from clubbing to psychology?

And how hard is it to have a srs girl-to-girl talk when the music is THIS LOUD?

"Not really," Mai's glance slides away from Nima to find something else to look at. She was partially right. She'd never said anything to Azula. Or her parents. Or anyone else. Not up until the point it really mattered to her and the negative consequences involved hurting someone she actually gave a damn about. Or would've inconvenienced her.

Not that she really minded that, even if she resented that the way her parents had raised her. She still got everything she wanted. Mostly.

"It's not any of your business, anyway."

"Okay."

Nima sat in silence for a moment. Nuns were supposed to help people break out of their negative cycles, but that was something the elders with their wisdom were good at. Compared to Iio and the other elders, Nima was still new to this journey on the wheel.

She wasn't even sure she really knew how to get this strange, quiet girl to open up to her if she tried. She might make the mistakes that Sisters made sometimes, the ones that just made people angry at those crazy Air Nomads who thought they ought to be involved in everyone else's business.

"Do you want me to walk you somewhere quiet? I can come back and dance later."

"I don't care," Mai said, "But I'm leaving either way."

She turned and eyed the crowd, trying to figure out how she could best push her way through it without having to actually touch too many of them.

"Let me help!"

A sudden sharp blast of air cuts through the crowd, and several people step aside to get out of the wind. (Several of them don't look happy about it.) The clear path between the people probably won't last long.

Nima reaches for Mai's hand. "I could use a break anyway." She couldn't, a little white lie has its time and place.

Mai has a little internal chuckle at their expense and then picks her way through the crowd, not looking at anyone and not acknowledging glances, looks, stares or words. She pointedly folds her arms and doesn't take Nima's hand. Once she makes it outside, she glances down the street, trying to find some place away from the crowds. That's not going to be easy in this district, unfortunately.

Nima follows Mai on through, wishing she could just bounce over the crowd entirely but knowing that it would be rude to leave her new friend behind.

They have to become friends now, if only because Mai is so different from Nima, and Nima wonders if there is anything that she has to offer the girl - or even anything Mai has to offer her. Airbenders are wise by nature, so Nima has been told, and so she believes, but that they are still spirits in bodies of flesh at all proves that they still have much to learn.

"Mai, did you want to do something else tonight? Maybe we could go shopping for the crew, or find someone poor to give our money to."

Charity is not as fun as dancing, but there's never a bad time for it.

"Not really," Mai sighed, "This whole planet is just dull."

Mai found everything dull, though. She slides her gaze toward Nima in that way that never quite moves her head around. It's all in the eyes. A skill you pick up when you're told you can't turn your head, you have to sit still and you absolutely must be perfect for your father's guests.

"Why would I give to charity?"

She's rich. Or was.

"Because we have more than we need?"

Who doesn't give to charity? Giving to charity is a fantastic way to lighten one's load when travelling.

"What do you like doing for fun?" Everyone has something they like doing. Even people whose societies frown on the nature of fun.

"So? Peasants aren't my problem," Mai replies. She also gives Nima a look. Because really, it's the nation's job to deal with the peasants and their needs. Not her.

After a moment she replies to the second question, "I throw knives. Or hang out with Zuko."

Oh, Zuko. He could be so infuriating sometimes, but... she loved him. Or at least didn't hate him.

"But you could be part of their solution," says Nima, in the curious tone of one who hasn't had to explain why giving is the greatest thing ever too many times before.

Mai's mention of Zuko goes a little ways towards explaining things - Zuko, Nima knows, is the Fire Lord of the future who will end the war his great-grandfather began to destroy her people. If the Fire Lord is this girl's close friend, then she is a noble, and nobles shelter themselves from the concerns of the poor. A humble nun like Nima has not had many chances to meet with nobles, back in a time when airbenders, though rare, were hardly impossible to come by.

"Throw knives? There must be a game like that around here somewhere." Or maybe there's a shuriken-themed club that Mai would hate less than the last one.
