PIRATELAND
An area built over a bay, there is no actual solid ground anywhere to be found in Pirateland. It's a land made entirely of wooden walkways, nets to climb, and of course, wooden pirate ships to explore. And then there are the rides: A pirate ship that swings nearly upside down; bumper boats; a ride that starts out as a Tunnel of Love but quickly transitions into a drunken pirate-themed It's a Small World.
And then, of course, there are the souvenirs to buy in the many assorted gift shops. Flimsy plastic swords, pirate hats, stuffed parrots. Or why not go get drunk down at the tavern?
((OOC: Like with Kittenland, feel free to come up with your own rides and attractions at Pirateland in addition to these ones!))

"Aside from rides and souvenirs there's got to be some treasure here. How about we try and find it?" Not least because Ian didn't have much money left for rides.

He opened it up and flatted it out. "Perhaps we could start with the ships," he decided. "They're bound to have some treasure in their holds."

"We're going to need to distract the pirates." Who were probably employees of the park, but calling them that would take the fun away from it. "Would you rather distract them, or go down into the hold?"

"I'll sneak in," Devlin decided. "That's my specialty." And usually what got him in the most trouble, but hey. Here was an adult helping him be sneaky. What could go wrong?

Ian pulled the map back out of his pocket and went up to the nearest to the entrance to the hold. Ian gave him his best smile and said, "Which boat is it? I'm not sure where we are on this map any more, this is such a big place." He turned, forcing the guard to turn away from the door, and waved his map about.

There was, indeed, a treasure chest in the hold, filled with various trinkets like beads, glowsticks, and plastic doubloons. It was all cheap party favor stuff, but the real reward was in the danger, not the loot. Carefully filling his pockets with treasure--enough to share, but not enough to get caught--he spotted a couple of candies and slipped them up his sleeve while he was at it before sneaking back out.

"There's more too," he said quietly, "but I want to wait before pulling that stuff out." But he did produce the two swirled lollipops he'd managed to snag, and he handed one to Ian.

He took the lollipop. He wasn't especially keen on the things, but when Devlin had gone to the trouble to get two of them, he wasn't going to refuse one. He was sure none of the staff here would notice two lollipops going missing.
"What do you say to sneaking in to another ship and putting our loot in their hold?" he said between sucks on his lollipop.

He liked making trouble, but ultimately, he liked helping other kids, especially ones who seemed to have it tough like he had.

"I think it did just fine," he decided.
