Hello Kittenland

Welcome to Kittenland, the most adorable place in Happy Happy Fun World! If you didn't like Kittenland, you probably had no soul at all.

There was the Kitten Go Round, a Merry Go Round where everyone could ride a kitten; the Nyan Cat Coaster, a rollercoaster where the carriages were in the shape of kittens with pop tart bodies, racing along a rainbow track to the constant sound of 'nyanyanyanyan'; the Kitten Petting Corner (with real kittens!); and the Hello Kitty Teacups.

And then there was the merchandise - the Nyan Cat Coaster had a shop of it's own, as did the Hello Kitty Teacups, both with a considerable range in merchandise; there was Kitten Candy, kitten t-shirts, kitten magnets, and more. Oddly enough though, you couldn't buy actual kittens.

Nyan Cat Coaster - LET'S THROW UP!

It was probably a little weird to see an aloof teenage boy in yellow plaid standing around in something called Hello Kittenland, especially given he was staring at the Nyan Cat Coaster. But no part of Cazali's psyche was quite able to decide how the hell to react to...this, this much kitten. Is it creepy? Is it retarded? Is it revolting?

Is it...endearing?

Perhaps it was all of the above.

This lolita demon was also staring at the ride as well.

"Are you going to get on or what?" She asked. Not that she was going to try either. Nope.

Caz looked over his shoulder, giving his usual sneer before looking back at the ride.

"Probably~ Just waiting to see if I want to get on the strawberry or cherry flavored one." His gaze returned to the ride, and Caz grimaced. He had issues with motion sickness when it came to vehicles- was this really such a good idea?

There was a kitten pile in that corner over there!

And a huge, red, lion-wolf-looking beast with a flame tail and various war markings and tattoos, lying down with them, looking both awkward but intrigued as the kittens climbed all over him. At least Nanaki knew how to deal with young ones, so he didn't seem to mind it too much. But every single one of the kittens had made their way over to him to investigate.

Nanaki wasn't the only odd-looking, vaguely feline thing in the kitten pen it seemed. And while the leather-and-studded kitty wasn't getting coated in cats like the lionwolfbeastthing, there was a peculiar little calico was having a hell of a time batting at his weird hair spike things.

For what it was worth, Cazali was baffled. And also wondering if he could smuggle the thing back on the ship. It's derpy attempts at climbing on head were pretty damn endearing.

Nanaki tilted his head at the other feline-looking thing curiously. It looked like some kind of strange outfit. Still, he didn't just want to silently stare, so he spoke to Cazali, "That one seems to like you."

Hikari couldn't help but just... giggle as she saw all the kittens hanging around the lion-wolf creature. This area was definitely adorable, to say the absolute least.

Tailmon however, was not amused. "Why? Why did you make us come here first?"

Hikari just giggled, moving to pat her partner on the head. "What's wrong, don't like kittens?"

Tailmon shook her head. "It just... seems like a waste of time."

And sure enough, one of the kittens were walking over and now sniffing Tailmon. Tailmon just frowned a bit more at that, while Hikari broke out into giggles again.

"They're comforting company," he said to the both of them - mainly aimed at Tailmon, however, who seemed to be a little more pessimistic about being there.

So these were... 'kitzens'. Something from Crichton's homeworld, so of course they were small, fluffy, and (judging by the ridiculous way they tumbled and crawled about) completely helpless. Aeryn stepped inside the pen cautiously, noting one animal that looked much bigger and more threatening than the rest.

"Is that the mother?" she asked out loud.

Nanaki turned his head as Aeryn spoke, ears twitching somewhat. Did he look like a female? Maybe some humans couldn't tell...

"I'm not related to them," he said. "And I'm not a female, ma'am."

Rarity's eyes widened at the sight and her heart melted. "So many cute kittens!" Her white pet cat, Opalescence however, was not too amused by the little felines and sat passively on the unicorn's back.

For Nanaki it was a bit easier to tell other creatures apart. The way it seemed to shy away was also pretty different from the behavior of the rest of the kittens.

Hrrrngh. A firelion covered with kittens. Zouichi wanted to pet all of them. But no -- he should restrain himself. He settled for taking a seat near Nanaki, batting a ball of string toward one kitten, who eagerly went chasing after it.

There was a shorthair cat who was sitting nearby watching them. After all Mikku needed his fun too and knew not to stray too far, lest he was taken as a part of the crowd.

A couple of kittens noticed the cat and trotted over. [Hello!] They exclaimed in kitten speak.

[Good morning to you little ones,] replied Mikku.

He nodded at Nanaki politely as Mikku helped hurdle the two kittens back to the ones that were climbing over the resident of Planet.

Kittens.

It had to be kittens.

Kriem had managed to keep herself dignified and refined up until now but at the prospect of such cute...adorable...tiny...sweet...

Before she could stop herself she had purchased some snacks for them and was kneeling down on the ground to attract little big eye'd balls of innocence to her so she could pet and stroke and love them as much as a convicted felon could.

Ash had wandered here purely by mistake and gotten terribly lost. Shore leave seemed like a promising opportunity to get real clothes, and instead he found a whole lot of... cats. Cats! Cats everywhere; lucky he wasn't allergic to the damn things, but at the moment, he was stomping around looking for the closest exit.

Luckily he didn't stomp on a kitty, but rather, tripped over one and collided with the ground with a thunderous "Oof!" The ground itself seemed to nya! in surprise, or maybe he was just imagining things.

On his leg was the most fuzzy wuzzy adorable kittens you ever did see, one that wandered just a little away from Nanaki's kitten pile. Ash scrambled to his haunches and picked it up by the scruff of its neck with a rather metallic-looking gauntlet of a hand.

"Move it you mangy furbag! You nearly broke my damn neck!" The kitten purred in response.

"You... you adorable little mangy flea-ridden furbag."

Aerith had managed to wander her way to Hello Kittenland purely on accident. It was quite cute, she had to say, but a bit overwhelming in some places.

She spotted Nanaki, unable to stop the smile from spreading at the sight of him surrounded by tiny kittens. She made her way over, kneeling beside him as she watched the kittens.

"Having fun?" He did seem comfortable with it. She reached down to pet one of the kittens, marveling at the softness of its fur.

"Yes," he answered with a smile back up to her. He was glad they got the opportunity to come to a planet like this so soon after Aerith woke up - it was a much better alternative to what they usually dealt with.

"I can't do too many things here, and I was wondering what sort of place this was, with a name like that."

Marco wasn't quite sure how he'd ended up agreeing to go to this part of the amusement park. In fact, he didn't think he'd even agreed at all. Sakura seemed to have just decided that they should go here without any input from him, leaving him to reluctantly get dragged along.

It's not that there was anything wrong with kittens. It's just that Marco felt like he'd walked into a place designed for six year old girls. Not to mention there were plenty of other places Marco would much rather go to.

"You know, nice as this is, the place we really should be going to is Pirateland," Marco said in a last ditch attempt to change Sakura's mind. Plus, Pirateland. How could that not be awesome?

"What's supposed to be so great about pirate land?" Sakura had briefly read over accounts of Earth pirates after hearing mention of great wars between ninjas and pirates on Earth. She learned that these wars never happened, and were a largely fictitious invention from what she assumed was Marco's general century of existence, and also that pirates were much more like the reality she was familiar with back home.

Thieves and neverdowells, or those on hard times, banded together on boats instead of small groups on land. They had a tendency toward scurvy.

To be honest, Kittenland was more a whim of perplexity than an actual desire to see a place infested with kittens. Sakura still wasn't much of an animal person (amusing on several levels), and tended toward enjoying the more self-sufficient wildlife than the domestics. Part of her had simply wanted to see how one created a land devoted to a singular age of cat, and she wasn't sure if she was impressed, horrified, or as confused as when she first heard it existed on this bizarre world.

"Kitten Petting Corner." He had precious few seconds before Sakura, wearing a calculating look, was going to go lose herself examining what this petting corner could possibly look like. "Think they have kitten herding contests?" she muttered under her breath.

"Barbie. It has pirates," Marco said, as if that totally explained everything. "Plus, if we did go there you'd have a chance to show them your ninja superiority."

Okay, so maybe Marco just really wanted to see Sakura in the middle of a Pirates vs Ninja battle. Hey, it'd be awesome, alright?

"Why the hell would anyone want to herd kittens?" Marco said, snorting. "It's probably just a place where you can pet kittens."

Katnip Picnics!

Kitten land couldn't be completely without a place that was dedicated entirely to make confections, meals, drinks, wine, all sorts of food made of the wide variety of catnip!

And this was now heaven for little Blackie who was going back and forth between everything, asking for samples from Rin who would obviously oblige. Blackie deserved it after all, it wasn't just him and his brother who where suffering.

Besides, he loved to see Blackie smile.

He didn't mind cats, he actually liked them. As soon as they were aware of a place called 'Kittenland', Yukio knew right away that it was a place that they would need to go.

"If you eat too much, you'll get fat," the teen warned.
