Hello Kittenland

Welcome to Kittenland, the most adorable place in Happy Happy Fun World! If you didn't like Kittenland, you probably had no soul at all.

There was the Kitten Go Round, a Merry Go Round where everyone could ride a kitten; the Nyan Cat Coaster, a rollercoaster where the carriages were in the shape of kittens with pop tart bodies, racing along a rainbow track to the constant sound of 'nyanyanyanyan'; the Kitten Petting Corner (with real kittens!); and the Hello Kitty Teacups.

And then there was the merchandise - the Nyan Cat Coaster had a shop of it's own, as did the Hello Kitty Teacups, both with a considerable range in merchandise; there was Kitten Candy, kitten t-shirts, kitten magnets, and more. Oddly enough though, you couldn't buy actual kittens.

Caz looked over his shoulder, giving his usual sneer before looking back at the ride.

"Probably~ Just waiting to see if I want to get on the strawberry or cherry flavored one." His gaze returned to the ride, and Caz grimaced. He had issues with motion sickness when it came to vehicles- was this really such a good idea?

It was definitely endearing.

Maxine hadn't been able to resist the thought of the park, and she was more than willing to have some fun. It was a nice distraction from the whole situation.

"Personally I like strawberry better," she offered, landing her flight just next to the other two. She didn't know them, but she recognised them from the ship and it was probably a good idea to stick with crewmates. "Maybe we can get a car together?"

"S'long as it's red, who cares?" The pyromancer was kind of biased though--red was her favorite color. The darker, the better. She'd been side eyeing the unfamiliar machine for a couple minutes in apparent confusion.

But Vitners didn't back down, dammit. Even if the thing roared like a dragon amidst all the weird nyaning.

"Roller coaster, huh? Ain't seen anythin' like it. Didn't have these back home."

"I'm not much for fruit, so it's all aesthetic to me~" Cazali slipped his cellphone out of his pocket. Not that it worked as a phone, but he could still snap a picture of the coaster with it.

He cast his head in the direction of the sour-looking black haired woman, smug smirk settling on his features. "Don't worry~ They're not so bad as long as you're properly prepared for them."

Obvious sarcasm aside, he made a move to actually get in the roller coaster's ridiculously sizable line. It was better than standing and staring at the thing. "If you're getting on, come on~" ...not that he cared, of course. He just wanted to play the part.

Starfire had been indisposed for several minutes upon landing in this sector. Adorable fluffy animals were everywhere! She could hardly contain her love of them! Bouncing from place to place, quite literally floating on air, she eventually wound up at the entrance to a line for some sort of coaster.

"Hello, friends! Will you be riding in the vehicles that appear somewhat edible today?" With her enthusiasm, if not for her clothing she could've been mistaken for an employee.

Now that there were a lot more people around, it was going to be a lot harder for Pram to sneak away from this. Especially since this... extremely cheerful girl arrived.

"Oh." Pram replied unenthusiastically at Starfire. "You're awfully cheerful."

"I'm ridin'! I'm ridin!" Tucking up her robes, Ellyn got in line. "'Course I'm so skinny I prob'ly need a couple o'ya in the same seat as me anyway."

Seeing as flying out of a roller coaster ride was not her chosen way to die.

Maxine nodded, naturally following to get in line. She could fly so roller coasters were kind of a weird thought but they were still fun!

"Looks like it!" Maxine replied cheerfully to the equally bright red head who had joined them. She looked vaguely familiar, but she wasn't going to pry. She gestured to those remaining to get in line with us. "I don't normally go to theme parks, but I think this'll be really fun! Plus, it's cute, so that's a bonus, right? Most coasters kind of focus on freaking you out or whatever, instead of being adorable. The rainbows and music is a different thing. And don't worry! I'll sit with you, if you need me to." A beat, then. "I'm Maxine, by the way. Or Cyclone. I don't think I've any of you guys."

Caz was quick to lean against the metal railing dividing up the line, watching with some fascination as the little group got in line. They were all from the ship- they had that same...odor about them.

"'M Cazali~" At the prompt for a name. He hopped up, sitting on the metal railing and scooting himself down a bit when the line moved an inch. Other than that, he was more than happy to observe this little gaggle of females.

"I am Starfire!" the flying girl greeted, offering her hand to anyone who would shake it. Not many---this was a grumpy group.

"Come, let us enjoy this amusement vehicle together!"

Actually, most of Ellyn's grump was a sourpuss expression. She did brighten a tiny bit before shaking Starfire's hand, perhaps a bit exuberantly.

"Ellyn Vitner. Nice ta meetcha. An' the rest."

"...I'm Pram." She replied, getting dragged along with the conversation. She stayed at the back of the group, still unsure whether to get on or not.

A big portion of her mind did scream "NO" to all of this, though.

"It's nice to meet everyone!" Maxine said, quite brightly, shaking the hand that Starfire offered earnestly. She recognised that name, too-- she'd been on the Teen Titans, though she looked different from the one she'd heard about. (She'd have to talk to her about that another time, maybe!)

It seemed like everyone was generally getting in line to get on the ride but... "Oh, are you not sure, Pram?" Maxine asked, frowning a little, before she brightened up. "You should! I mean, obviously I won't pressure you or anything if you decide you don't want to, but at least you're around people you know, or at least other crewmates. It'll be fun!"

"Yes, please come with us," Starfire pleads, holding out her hand in greeting. "We will ensure that everyone is safe. You do not need to be afraid."

'Fear' might be slightly off target here.

The two cheerful ones... Maxine and Starfire was it? They both reminded her of a certain Tome-girl who was just as cheerful. A type of character she had the most trouble interacting with. She was about to dismiss what they were saying until she heard the last word. Afraid?!

"What?!" She snapped, "Me? Scared?! I'm not a baby!"

Instead of taking the other's hand, Pram stepped onto the ride and promptly sat down, her skinny arms folded across her chest.

Ellyn, queen of tact that she is, laughed.

"That's it, you show 'em! Nothin' ta be scared of, right?"

She gave a firm nod. Well, at least it wasn't malicious...

Starfire, Ellyn, Pram, Maxine. Well, if this wasn't a group and a half.

He didn't accept the handshake mostly because he was gripping the bars, but he did chuckle a bit at the redheads. "You two're cheery, aren't you~?" It was like if Gamel could actually get sugar high or something. And had a twin. Eugh...

He watched with a smirk as the white-haired one forced her way on to the ride, and casually strolled after her, plopping down in the nearest seat. It took him a moment to think to take his hat off and string it along his waist-chain.

"Peer pressure's a bitch, huh~?"

"Oh, we didn't mean to pressure you or anything! Or at least, I know I didn't, and I'm sure that Starfire didn't mean it that way, either."

Still, she followed along after the others getting onto the ride, all but floating into a seat. She gestured for Ellyn, in particular, to come sit next to her, after what she'd said.

Then, to Cazali, she said, "Oh, well I try to be cheerful, anyway. It's not really any good to be depressed or anything, and we have to make the best of the situation! So I try to be happy for everyone else, at least. Smiles are contagious right? Well obviously not literally, but figuratively."

Starfire nodded quietly, settling into her own seat. There were five, so she didn't mind being the lone one behind them. "Yes! They will keep you from illness and despair. We will be all right, you will see! This is safe."

And enjoyable. Hopefully.

"A bitch indeed." Pram muttered, not bothering to glance over at Cazali as she tried to keep her temper under control.

"So when's this ride starting?"

When the machine gave a jerk, Ellyn grunted. "Prolly now." Considering the bar over her lap was probably to make her stay in, she tried her best to make sure that it was fixed in place.

"'M gonna hang on. Can't fly, though I ain't sure I'd really be hurt if I slid outta here. Gotta lot of tricks up my sleeve an' all..."

But she gave Maxine a grin anyway. "Get ready!"
