Meat n' Greet

The rest of the crew assembled on the Observation Deck to meet the latest editions to their numbers. After the revelation that their worlds are gone, many of them are even more eager to see people they knew from home.

Several people are set up near the doors to provide the new people with omnicoms and comm rings. They are also told they must read information about their current situation and a survival guide with their new omnicom. New crew-mates might see a tall dragonish guy with wings (but don't call him that) and purple girl among their number. There are also several authoritative-looking figures ready to introduce themselves.

There's a lot to tell the new people. It's going to be a lot to take in.

[ooc: Only new characters and Command Staff can start new threads for introductions, to limit the number of threads. Everyone else, just tag in and have your guys greet the newbies.]

Aerith still couldn't wrap her mind around the situation. At least Nanaki had some kind of reason, even if it went against everything she'd thought was real. The dead didn't come back to life. This was a fact she was very well aware of.

Strange occurrences were common in her life, she would freely admit that. This had to be the oddest thing to ever happen to her - and she assumed it was the same for Cloud and Nanaki. She honestly couldn't say that she was absolutely calm about waking up on a spaceship the moment after she felt death take her in its grip.

However, it was easy to push it back, and focus on the situation at hand. Years of experience taught her well.

She gave Cloud a quizzical look at Nanaki's words. "Did you just show up too? How long have you both been here?" Aerith smiled down at Nanaki, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear. "Sounds like you've been here awhile, Nanaki."

It may have taken a second or two for him to register that she asked a question, but Cloud was quick to give a nod with his head and reply in an almost quiet tone. "I did. I ... not long ago." A look was given to Nanaki briefly in gesture as he continued. "Nanaki was able to find me through the crowds. I've been learning what I can through him."

But his eyes eventually went back to her, still gazing, still confused, still facing mixed feelings on whether to take delight in this or grave concern. All of that was shoved away when he turned his attention back to the room and noted immediately that most if not all of the refugees released from the pods were now in the room. This was it. The rest of his friends were trapped never to be heard from for at least a month or even longer.

"We should probably head out. Nanaki, do you know where we can go?"

He nodded. "As I said, if you need rest, there are sleeping chambers here..." he trailed off, giving Cloud and Aerith look. Hmm. "However, there is a place called Hydroponics here that feels much like a real planet. It is quiet and peaceful there."

He figured Cloud had a lot to think and speak to the Cetra about, once they were out of the crowds. And he knew Aerith would appreciate the place as much as he did.

Hydroponics did sound like somewhere she'd rather be - as opposed to standing in this large common room. It was full of people, and it would be more comfortable to speak when they weren't surrounded by others she didn't really know.

"I think that sounds like a good idea, Nanaki." She looks over at Cloud, raising her eyebrows in question. "I'm not really that tired, honestly. I'd rather catch up with what's been going on."

Just as Cloud was ready to make his move, the statement on Hydroponics made him pause. "And it's safe?" He asked, not quite as eager to throw himself into a foreign area.

Yet to be honest, he didn't have much reason not to trust Nanaki's good judgement.

He nodded up at Cloud. "Yes. And very nice."

This sounded like a good idea to Aerith, and she nodded.

"Right. Lead the way, Nanaki. I can't say I'm really sure where it is." She looked down at her omnicom, pressing a few buttons. "I'm sure there some directions on here, but it's easier when we have such an effective tour guide." She smiled down at the lion.
