Meat n' Greet

The rest of the crew assembled on the Observation Deck to meet the latest editions to their numbers. After the revelation that their worlds are gone, many of them are even more eager to see people they knew from home.

Several people are set up near the doors to provide the new people with omnicoms and comm rings. They are also told they must read information about their current situation and a survival guide with their new omnicom. New crew-mates might see a tall dragonish guy with wings (but don't call him that) and purple girl among their number. There are also several authoritative-looking figures ready to introduce themselves.

There's a lot to tell the new people. It's going to be a lot to take in.

[ooc: Only new characters and Command Staff can start new threads for introductions, to limit the number of threads. Everyone else, just tag in and have your guys greet the newbies.]

"All right."

Hoshi took a few steps back and took out her Nazca Driver, it wrapping around her waist when she placed it around there. Then, she went into her vest and pulled out the T2 Nazca Memory, clicking it.

"HENSHIN!"

When she inserted the Memory into her Driver, she stood ready as the familiar music (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pL4HTWZJfV4) played as flames and light licked at her, forming her blue armor in the process. After it was done, she stood there with a smile under her helmet.

"What'cha think?"

Ankh watched with nonchalance as Hoshi transformed. It was certainly different, to say the least; and she transformed like Double did. He'd have to wait to see her fight to see if she could be useful or not, but apparently there were other Riders around here anyway.

"Not bad," he finally said, though it didn't exactly sound the most sincere. "I've seen better. Most Kamen Riders don't go showing off their transformations for no reason."

[identity profile] radiantcourage.livejournal.com 2011-10-05 12:57 am (UTC)(link)
You didn't need to worry about that, Ankh. Hoshi was plenty capable of fighting her own battles, Rider powers or not. But, she did appreciate the compliment and took it like one.

"Well, it's better to know what I'm able to do so that I'm not shafted when it comes down to it, right?" she answered with a little shrug. Then, she got an idea in her head - by now, training against Dopants became second nature to her and the Sensoriums were wonderful things.

"I've got an idea. Want to see what Nazca can do?"

[identity profile] handpuppeeet.livejournal.com 2011-10-05 01:04 am (UTC)(link)
All of the worrying all of the suspicion

And now Ankh just looked damn confused. "Huh? Why would I need to know what you can do?" She seemed pretty damn calm about it. Was she stupid enough to let others in on her abilities, or was this some stupid ship solidarity thing?

He was completely suspicious now, and it was obvious. "And if I do?"

[identity profile] radiantcourage.livejournal.com 2011-10-05 01:13 am (UTC)(link)
"Well, lemme piece it together for you - you know about Riders and so do I. Maybe you could see what other Riders can do besides Double and any others you may know about."

She did take the Gaia Memory out of the Driver and stood back in her normal form, pocketing both the Driver and the Memory.

"That, and who knows, perhaps it might make me more than just an 'annoying little girl'."

"As much as I like taking information, just what do you get out of it from me knowing what you and the Riders can do? You should know I have no intention of handing anything over in exchange."

His tone was considerably more light and aloof now, and he didn't bat an eye when she transformed back to normal. He didn't even bother dignifying her last bit with a proper response, and just let out a mix between a scoff and a laugh.

"Trying to work on a partnership of some kind?" Hoshi replied back. Yeah, she wasn't going to give up on the idea of you being a friend or at least an acquaintance, Ankh.

[identity profile] handpuppeeet.livejournal.com 2011-10-05 01:32 am (UTC)(link)
This look? This look he's giving you right now, Hoshi? Is the look of someone who thinks you just said the dumbest thing in the universe.

Ankh ticked his tongue in both anger and annoyance. Audacious little brat. "As if. Why the hell would I want to even work with you, much less form some stupid partnership?" His voice was starting to sound angry, and he nodded his head a bit violently at Hoshi when he addressed her.

[identity profile] radiantcourage.livejournal.com 2011-10-05 01:39 am (UTC)(link)
Ah, that look! She's kind of missed getting it and knew it was only a matter of time before she received it again. Amazingly, she was still smiling and still believes. Good luck trying to get that look off of her.

But, she did take note of the anger and prepared herself just in case if things went south. "I meant it in a broad sense. The Riders that are here work together, and who knows - there might be someone or something from home that's recognizable here."

[identity profile] handpuppeeet.livejournal.com 2011-10-05 01:48 am (UTC)(link)
It is a look hat will live on in infamy. Except given Hoshi's look, Ankh's really starting to hate looks.

"'Something from home'?" If he wasn't already feeling like crap, he would've almost found that notion entertaining. Now it was just pissing him off. "How idiotic. I'm no Rider, so why would I want to join your dumb little group?"

[identity profile] radiantcourage.livejournal.com 2011-10-05 01:52 am (UTC)(link)
...Well, now she felt kind of dumb.

"Then how do you know about Kamen Riders?" she asked, confusion now on her face.

[identity profile] handpuppeeet.livejournal.com 2011-10-05 02:01 am (UTC)(link)
"I worked with OOO," He responded. He was pretty composed, but his anger just kept seething as he spoke, and there was a touch of bitterness when he brought it up. "It's because of me that he could transform."

[identity profile] radiantcourage.livejournal.com 2011-10-05 10:26 pm (UTC)(link)
So, then, Ankh had a partnership like Shoutarou and Philip did, but why did he sound so bitter over it? Did they get off on the wrong foot or something? Though, she could see that he was getting angrier by the minute, so maybe raising her questions with him wasn't a good idea.

"Did you work in tandem like Double does or no?"

[identity profile] handpuppeeet.livejournal.com 2011-10-05 10:45 pm (UTC)(link)
"I told you, I'm no Rider," Ankh spat out. "He was the Kamen Rider; I gave him the Medals that let him transform and he did the fighting."

At this point he was talking as if he were speaking to a child and getting more and more annoyed. Talking about Eiji was definitely not what he wanted to do right now, so at this point he was basically just waiting to drop the subject.

[identity profile] radiantcourage.livejournal.com 2011-10-06 01:23 am (UTC)(link)
"All right, all right," Hoshi said dismissively before deciding that it was best to meet Ankh again since she felt this meeting was just going downhill at this point.

"Well, I'm gonna be going. If you need me, go ahead and contact me through the omnicomms. It was great to meet you, though!"

[identity profile] handpuppeeet.livejournal.com 2011-10-06 02:47 am (UTC)(link)
"Whatever. Beat it already," Ankh scoffed and looked away. He somehow managed to just get even more pissed off without snapping at her again, but hey, she was gonna go away. That was always a plus.
