Meat n' Greet

The rest of the crew assembled on the Observation Deck to meet the latest editions to their numbers. After the revelation that their worlds are gone, many of them are even more eager to see people they knew from home.

Several people are set up near the doors to provide the new people with omnicoms and comm rings. They are also told they must read information about their current situation and a survival guide with their new omnicom. New crew-mates might see a tall dragonish guy with wings (but don't call him that) and purple girl among their number. There are also several authoritative-looking figures ready to introduce themselves.

There's a lot to tell the new people. It's going to be a lot to take in.

[ooc: Only new characters and Command Staff can start new threads for introductions, to limit the number of threads. Everyone else, just tag in and have your guys greet the newbies.]

Evidently, they did. And now it was time for yet again another reunion between them.

Though, the jab toward the genocide he committed wasn't appreciated and he pulled a bit of a face at that. "You should know my stance on violence by now," he said in a matter-of-fact way.

"You'd think I would, but, mmmm," the Master screwed up his face. "Thing is, your actions speak quite differently, don't they? Not that I'm complaining. Ohhh, I love it when you let loose and remember you're a god."

And then he chuckled. "Besides, what are you going to do? Talk the Ohm into submission?" There was every reason to believe that, actually. The Doctor seemed to fancy himself some sort of universal diplomat.

There was such a way that the Master could make him tense and this was one of those times. He did remain calm so that it wasn't apparent that the Master wasn't getting under his skin. That would be giving in and he certainly didn't do that as long as he could help it.

"Has anyone tried that option before instead of needlessly harming them?" he shot back, his brow raised. Gallifrey be damned, he was going to try to remain diplomatic on the ship and not resort to violence.

The Master rolled his eyes. "Predictably boring as ever, Doctor. Tell me, what do you think? I doubt your precious humans, or our illustrious captors, ever even had it cross their minds."

But the Master didn't look even remotely upset about this. His smile was as wide as ever.

The Doctor let out a small sigh, knowing it was fruitless to do anything but keep on being just himself around the Master. But, he was still going to try.

"There's nothing wrong with trying to convince them otherwise," he said. "Perhaps all they want is to be understood instead of harmed."

"Oh, I'd love to see you try," the Master grinned, showing teeth. The idea of the Doctor attempting to negotiate with the Ohm, in fact, was in his potential top ten most hilarious moments. Right up there with the Doctor trying to convince humans not to be idiotic.

"They are monsters, after all. I told you that. The question is, who's the greater monster this time?"
