Meat n' Greet

The rest of the crew assembled on the Observation Deck to meet the latest editions to their numbers. After the revelation that their worlds are gone, many of them are even more eager to see people they knew from home.

Several people are set up near the doors to provide the new people with omnicoms and comm rings. They are also told they must read information about their current situation and a survival guide with their new omnicom. New crew-mates might see a tall dragonish guy with wings (but don't call him that) and purple girl among their number. There are also several authoritative-looking figures ready to introduce themselves.

There's a lot to tell the new people. It's going to be a lot to take in.

[ooc: Only new characters and Command Staff can start new threads for introductions, to limit the number of threads. Everyone else, just tag in and have your guys greet the newbies.]

Oh! Oh, now things made sense! It was sort of like how he was able to meet his fifth regeneration, even with how weird that encounter went. But, as far as the tenth regeneration was concerned, he didn't feel any new memories come to him - especially with his future self (was he his next regeneration? It was likely, but it was nice to have some healthy skepticism) standing right in front of him.

"Tenth?" he suggested. "If we go with that, then that would make you the Eleventh, wouldn't it?" he pondered aloud, already talking a mile a minute at the possibilities.

"Eleventh. Eleven. Elevensies. Ohha-kktz in Gringle. XI - Roman," the Doctor ticked off the names on his fingers after trying them all on for size like hats. " No, no, no, I rather like 'Eleven'. So, Ten and Eleven! Unless you prefer 'John Smith' instead."

Of course he'd have to tell his companions aboard Stacy the little...arrangement in retards to names. Eleven for the bowtie, Ten for spiky hair. He wasn't quite sure how he felt about Ten being here. His past self's death hadn't been painless or peaceful and maybe he hadn't thought it was his time, either. Awkward. That was what it was. Awkward. The Doctor tilted his head, almost like a bird, and studied his past self. Judging by the look on his face, he'd say it was fairly early for him, so maybe it wasn't quite as awkward as it was for him. Very fairly early. As in not dying-almost-on-Rose Tyler's door. That early.

Well. Complicated, he'd say. But with a TARDIS that still refused to get fixed, he could use more hands on this and his own hands were really the only one he trusted to get the job done. Just because the Master was a fellow Time Lord didn't mean the Doctor wanted him with his hands in his old girl's insides and fiddly bits.

The Doctor listened to what his future self - the one with the bowtie (why even a bowtie? Why not just go for a tie or something that just wasn't a bowtie? But, that was a matter for another time) - rattle off suggestions before coming to a decision. "If we used John Smith, that'd also get confusing, wouldn't it? So, Ten and Eleven it is!"

If he managed to find Rose, Martha, or even Donna on board, he'd have to tell them the arrangement also. Though, he had to wonder just what caused him to have to regenerate. Just when was he due to turn into his future self, anyway? He wanted to know, but at the same time, was it worth it in the end?

"Say, have you seen Rose, Martha or Donna around? And is the TARDIS on board?" If he had his companions, he would be happy. Very happy. The TARDIS was what he was most concerned over, given that he was the thief who stole her - or was it that she stole him? Hm. Even so, there were plenty of questions he had about Stacy and the crew. Like when he could obtain his suit. The plantsuit wasn't... him. It wasn't what gave the Doctor his flair.
