Meat n' Greet

The rest of the crew assembled on the Observation Deck to meet the latest editions to their numbers. After the revelation that their worlds are gone, many of them are even more eager to see people they knew from home.

Several people are set up near the doors to provide the new people with omnicoms and comm rings. They are also told they must read information about their current situation and a survival guide with their new omnicom. New crew-mates might see a tall dragonish guy with wings (but don't call him that) and purple girl among their number. There are also several authoritative-looking figures ready to introduce themselves.

There's a lot to tell the new people. It's going to be a lot to take in.

[ooc: Only new characters and Command Staff can start new threads for introductions, to limit the number of threads. Everyone else, just tag in and have your guys greet the newbies.]

Tim shook his head slightly at that. He didn't bother responding to that comment. At least it didn't bother him that much.

"So do you need anything clarified for you?"

"Hmm... do you know anything about Security?"

"I'm a Senior Officer, actually," Red Robin replied, trying not to give this boy too incredulous a look. He'd let him say what he wanted before he made assumptions.

"You are, huh?" Atom gave him a considering look. "So what do you need to do to join?"

Tim gave the boy an appraising look, frowning slightly. "Well there's an age limit, to start-- am, I to assume you're older than you appear?" He'll give him the benefit of the doubt.

"I guess you could say that." He looked a little dubiously at Tim at the mention of the age limit, though -- neither he nor Jr. looked particularly like grizzled veterans.

Tim held back the curious gaze, but considering other people on the ship... and he was well aware that he looked fairly young himself, even with his cowl. "Talk to Dean Winchester or Nightwing," he said. "They're both heads of Security."

He smiled. "Okay, I will." He hoped they weren't going to give him a hard time about the looking like a twelve-year-old thing (humans were weird like that), but even if they did, it didn't mean he couldn't help out.

"So why'd you join?"

That was not honestly a question Tim expected to get asked. Though it was a fair enough one.

"Qualifications and duty," he said, since that summer it up fairly well. He had the abilities so he was certainly going to do what he could. "Why are you interested?"

[identity profile] tetsuwan-atom.livejournal.com 2011-10-07 06:20 pm (UTC)(link)
Jeez, Tim, you should hang around with robots more often.

"To protect everyone, of course," Atom said. Qualifications? Duty? What did those have to do with anything? "I want to make sure everyone on the ship is safe."

Tim nodded, and he actually looked somewhat pleased. Not an outright smile, but...

"A good reason," he said. "That's the kind of mindset we need."
