Meat n' Greet
The rest of the crew assembled on the Observation Deck to meet the latest editions to their numbers. After the revelation that their worlds are gone, many of them are even more eager to see people they knew from home.
Several people are set up near the doors to provide the new people with omnicoms and comm rings. They are also told they must read information about their current situation and a survival guide with their new omnicom. New crew-mates might see a tall dragonish guy with wings (but don't call him that) and purple girl among their number. There are also several authoritative-looking figures ready to introduce themselves.
There's a lot to tell the new people. It's going to be a lot to take in.
[ooc: Only new characters and Command Staff can start new threads for introductions, to limit the number of threads. Everyone else, just tag in and have your guys greet the newbies.]

Which is a whole other moral debate there - by supporting the defensively violent, how much does Nima violate her code of nonviolence? But these are good people, only doing what they know to survive in this lifetime on the karmic wheel. They do not deserve to be abandoned by their spiritual counterparts.
"My temple encourages travel," she adds, as she leads Ash towards the City and the Drunken Dragon, looping her arm through his. She taps the large, blue arrow on her forehead. "Air nomad, you know?"
He probably doesn't. So few here do.

"Air nomad?" Not a clue.
no subject
He didn't know, but that was pretty clear, right? Except nuns where Ash was from didn't usually wear low-cut tops or take men to bars while feeling up their arms.
"How about you? You look like a warrior."
Maybe the missing hand gave it away. Or the fact that most people on this ship are.

"Warrior of the undead--I could have been a king of my people with how good I am at it, but truth of the matter was, I didn't belong livin' that life anyway. There's nothin' left for me. Either way, there ain't a deadite around who can stand up to me."
He gave another little flex. What a hypocrite.

Speaking of forward.

"...Okay, what's the catch, Sister? My first day out of those alien snot pods and a hot space monk-nun chick like you is offering me some drinks and some sugar." Maybe this whole... saving the universe thing wasn't such a bad deal after all. It sure as hell nailed him Shelia, didn't it? ...Yeah, it sure did. "Not that I'm sayin' no..." He trailed off.

Nima pats him on the arm, smiling brightly.
"Of course if you don't want to, I'd still be happy to take you to the Inn for a drink, maybe share some pleasant conversation about, I don't know, philosophy, or our feelings -"
no subject
"Hey, hey, if I was interested in that, I'd go back to earth and get me a girlfriend." And suddenly then, a pang of guilt. "Well..." He shrugged and averted his eyes, muttering. "One that ain't dead or lost in time, anyway."
"So where is this place?"
no subject
Like genocide! Skipping out on being genocided is always a plus.
"Anyway, if it wouldn't cause you to break a commitment you already made to someone else, I could keep you company until your lost-in-time girlfriends wake up." She snuggles up a little closer to Ash's side. "Has anyone ever told you you have a very attractive chin?"
no subject
"I ain't got any commitments any more, sister. And if you think my chin is attractive, I can show you what else is too." He waggled his eyebrows for emphasis, already forgetting ye olde acquaintances.
