Meat n' Greet

The rest of the crew assembled on the Observation Deck to meet the latest editions to their numbers. After the revelation that their worlds are gone, many of them are even more eager to see people they knew from home.

Several people are set up near the doors to provide the new people with omnicoms and comm rings. They are also told they must read information about their current situation and a survival guide with their new omnicom. New crew-mates might see a tall dragonish guy with wings (but don't call him that) and purple girl among their number. There are also several authoritative-looking figures ready to introduce themselves.

There's a lot to tell the new people. It's going to be a lot to take in.

[ooc: Only new characters and Command Staff can start new threads for introductions, to limit the number of threads. Everyone else, just tag in and have your guys greet the newbies.]

"What?" was she wearing something diff...nah, it was the barrier jacket, otherwise everything else looked the same. "It's my MO. I'm a hero in my world. You need the disguise, or people know who you are, go after your families or you in the street. I just kept it when I was brought here. Updated it a little with the jacket though."

Nobody was going to get on her case for the costume: that was dad's design.

"So, got any questions?"

Right. A hero, not an alien. Like out of some kind of comic book. Uh huuuuh.

Ash had a million questions secretly, varying from how the hell do I get back to my time and my place to how the hell do I get back to my time and my place sooner rather than later to where is the bathroom in this joint and even a little no, seriously, what the hell are you wearin' kid? Asking questions was kind of akin to asking directions when you were lost on the road--if you were any self-respecting member of the male species, you just didn't do it.

"First, you gotta' tell me if I'm just really whacked out on somethin' right now and that this all just ain't some crazy ass dream or not." Ash would be equally willing to believe either.

Hit Girl shook her head. Classic Ash.

"Look around you man: if this is a crazy ass dream of yours, it sorta looks like you're not the only one experiencing it, right? You went through the pods, and I'll bet you saw other people coming out of them too. So that question is answered: no, this is not a dream. You could call it a fucking nightmare maybe, but you can wake up from nightmares, so...nope. This is reality, a bunch of refuges from other worlds and planets and existences, on board the good shop Stacy. And we're, for lack of sugarcoating it, getting ready for a war."

Ha ha what a cute kid.

"Great." He slouched a little. He already fought in a war against the undead, and well... when all was said and done, he felt pretty accomplished about it.

But given the choice, he'd really rather not ever do that again.

The graveness of the situation was starting to seep in, though Ash had been thoroughly jaded because of his past experiences. He ran a hand over his chin in thought.

"A war against these... evil alien bug things, right?" Better bugs than deadites...

It was a good thing she didn't hear that.

"Yeah, pretty much," Hit Girl said. "But its not the only thing we have to worry about. Stuff attacks the ship all the time, some people here really have a hard on for causing trouble, and we have a council and a captain, so we can;t just go and do whatever we want."

Not that Hit Girl would have minded seeing Ash fight a few of these douches on board, but she didn't want to see him behind bars. Better to warn him what was coming first.

"Who'er those guys?" Ash would probably forget their names in about 5 minutes, but it'd be 5 minutes worth of good information before he inevitably goes and causes trouble in the ranks.

Sorry about that!

"Eh. I forget all their names, but I have them written down here. (http://t9.attention-universe.com/tiki-index.php?page=Organizations) The captain is a good guy, but he is ex police dude to the most badass degree, so I wouldn't push his buttons. The rest of the people are...well, they're a colorful bunch without getting into details."

No worries! I am crying without edit, atm, fffff

"Right." He nodded, looking over the information. "Don't mess with the space-fuzz. Got it."

By now, he was getting rather curious about her. She couldn't of been older than what... ten? Eleven? "And you, where do you fit into all that?"

If he had to make an educated guess, she sounded like a New Yorker...

Hit Girl laughed. "Well technically, space fuzz would really be the security on the ship, but seeing as Leon once was that, I wouldn't cross him either. I've see the guy with a gun on the battlefield, and rumor is he took down zombies before, so he's not exactly Mr. paperwork all the time."

She snickered. "Not dicking around with those guys, that's for sure. I work for the better of the crew in my own way, kicking ass, not making dumb decisions and being neutered by protocol. Sure, my trainer is one of those guys on the council, but...well, you meet him, you'll see why him on the council is fucking weird to begin with."

Good guess.
