Meat n' Greet
The rest of the crew assembled on the Observation Deck to meet the latest editions to their numbers. After the revelation that their worlds are gone, many of them are even more eager to see people they knew from home.
Several people are set up near the doors to provide the new people with omnicoms and comm rings. They are also told they must read information about their current situation and a survival guide with their new omnicom. New crew-mates might see a tall dragonish guy with wings (but don't call him that) and purple girl among their number. There are also several authoritative-looking figures ready to introduce themselves.
There's a lot to tell the new people. It's going to be a lot to take in.
[ooc: Only new characters and Command Staff can start new threads for introductions, to limit the number of threads. Everyone else, just tag in and have your guys greet the newbies.]

"Name's Red Savarin. Nice to meet ya too." He introduced back with a grin.

"If there is anything you'd like to know. I'm not opposed to assisting you if I know the answer to it. Although, for detailed information, it'd be better for you to meet up with the council member that's fielding questions."
She pointed to the large draconian that was in the middle of the Obs deck.
no subject
"That tall guy?" He asked, just to make sure. "Alright, will do."
He took a moment to look around his surroundings before turning back to the other, using this opportunity to ask the question he would probably be asking for anyone that he met there.
"Have you seen anyone that looks kinda like me? One would be a pink girl and the other kind of looks like a gray cat-person..."
no subject
At the second however she shook her head after thinking for a bit.
"My apologies. They don't sound familiar, but I'll make sure to let them know you are looking for them, should I see them."
no subject
He paused for a bit, scratching at his cheek before speaking again as he brought up the omnicon. "Uh so this... Omnicon thing. How's it work?"
no subject
At the question, she brought out her own and started tapping on the interface, making it blink on and start following her commands.
"You can use it to communicate with other crewmates, leaving messages, sending private ones and reading what others have posted. Like a BBS board. Aside from giving you access from the network, it also has a map and locations of the places around the ship. It also has the basic info on what's going on as well as public access files on the war, crew, and the ship."
oh my god I misspelled her name I APOLOGIES
"Whoa, that's pretty cool!" Red exclaimed as he brought up the map. "Pretty handy thing... Dang, this ship's huge!"
Haha, Don't worry, it's better than trying to say her full name :p Satellizer is long enough!
"There are many levels to the ship. Some of them we don't have access to. But the largest sector that I've seen is the one with The City." she pointed at the map.
"It's in level four. The City itself holds many buildings from the different worlds the the ship has visited. Some people have even found buildings from their own worlds."
no subject
"Is the ship trying to take after a planet or somethin'?" He commented, not exactly expecting an answer as he noted some of the places that were discovered already.
no subject
Her answer, which wasn't really an answer at all, held much contempt. As if it had been something that has been bothering her for some time.
no subject
"Ah well... I guess it's because of this ship... Thing... That let us all a chance to live even when our homelands are gone?" He said with a small laugh. "Guess we'll have to see?"
Red never liked uncertainty...
no subject
"We'll see indeed. Hopefully, our release from the pods wasn't in vain and we can change the course of this war in our favor, regardless of what path we take as a crew."
no subject
He had no clue how the Ohms looked like, though. All he knew was that they were even worse than the stone statues that threatened his world...
no subject
"As I said before, if you require assistance while on board. Feel free to contact me. It was a pleasure meeting you."
She bowed her head with a more relaxed manner than when they had previously met. It had been the most social she had been with anyone for a while and somehow... she didn't mind at all.
no subject
He was glad he was able to meet the other; in a way, she reminded him of a close friend he traveled with before, and it gave him a nostalgic feeling. "...And just to hang out, if that's okay. You seem like a nice person to talk to."
no subject
Satella nodded, "I'd be fine with such arrangements. Until then, stay safe."
And with that, she gave a salute and turned to walk back to her area.

He waved after his new acquaintance before going back to fiddling with the omnicom. If he wanted to do the best of what he could do, he'd have to start with getting familiar with the most important device he would have with him...
