Meat n' Greet

The rest of the crew assembled on the Observation Deck to meet the latest editions to their numbers. After the revelation that their worlds are gone, many of them are even more eager to see people they knew from home.

Several people are set up near the doors to provide the new people with omnicoms and comm rings. They are also told they must read information about their current situation and a survival guide with their new omnicom. New crew-mates might see a tall dragonish guy with wings (but don't call him that) and purple girl among their number. There are also several authoritative-looking figures ready to introduce themselves.

There's a lot to tell the new people. It's going to be a lot to take in.

[ooc: Only new characters and Command Staff can start new threads for introductions, to limit the number of threads. Everyone else, just tag in and have your guys greet the newbies.]

"The Daligig haven't given us much reason to trust them yet," Kang said bluntly.

"Then why follow their orders?" she pressed, and then paused, squinting slightly. "Or are you suggesting there may be a mutiny?"

"Stacy gets her orders from the Daligig. We aren't given a choice."

He paused, and asked, "Have you had a chance to look over the information on your omnicomm?"

Aeryn looked down at the device in her hand, dubious. She wasn't much for reading in situations like this.

She looked back at Kang. "Will it answer my question?"

Kang quirked an eyebrow ridge, "About a possible mutiny? No. But it will help you to understand the situation we've all been thrown into. And to answer that question, we simply don't know enough to decide on what, if anything, to do."

"I see," was all she said for a moment, sizing Kang up mentally and mulling over his words. Nobody knew anything. Typical. This wasn't a functioning crew. This was a mess.

"You said you could lead me to the Captain?"

Yes, it was a mess, but not nearly as big a one as it had been. They were working on it.

Kang looked out over the crowd, using his height to his advantage, but the sheer amount of people made it difficult to spot individual humans. His wings rustled, "...I can't spot him in this crowd, but I can describe him, and you can contact him with your omnicomm if it's urgent."

"All right." And then, after a short pause and a second thought, "Thank you."

"You are welcome, ma'am," Kang said, then paused. "I apologize, I never asked your name. I am Kang."

"Officer Aeryn Sun, Ikarian Company, Pleisar Regiment." she answered automatically. Ex-officer, really, but Kang didn't need to know that.

"Now. Who am I looking for?"
governorkang: (Having fun)

"Well met. Now, Captain Kennedy..." Kang proceeded to describe the man.
