Meat n' Greet

The rest of the crew assembled on the Observation Deck to meet the latest editions to their numbers. After the revelation that their worlds are gone, many of them are even more eager to see people they knew from home.

Several people are set up near the doors to provide the new people with omnicoms and comm rings. They are also told they must read information about their current situation and a survival guide with their new omnicom. New crew-mates might see a tall dragonish guy with wings (but don't call him that) and purple girl among their number. There are also several authoritative-looking figures ready to introduce themselves.

There's a lot to tell the new people. It's going to be a lot to take in.

[ooc: Only new characters and Command Staff can start new threads for introductions, to limit the number of threads. Everyone else, just tag in and have your guys greet the newbies.]

Police and Para-military. Close enough. Aya lowered her arm and stood at ease when Kang smiled. She had read the survival guide on the way here but that hardly answered anything, it just filled her in on why she was there.

"Pardon my bluntness, but I still don't understand what the hell is going on."

"You don't need to stand at ease, ma'am," Kang said. He was liking this woman already; she cut right to it. "We're not even completely sure what's going on, but I can try to clarify for you."

"Oh."

She let out the breath she'd been holding in.

"Aya Brea." she said in a matter of introducing herself. "I'm new."

That was a given but it was iterated nonetheless so that Aya could get used to it. Everything was new.

"This ship... it's like it's alive. It's not going to eat me, is it?"

This was a very serious question for Aya. She did genuinely feel like she was living inside one of those damned mitochondria beasts she encountered during her Awakening in New York.

"Well met," Kang held out his right hand. "I am Councilor Kang."

He laughed, "...no, Stacy hasn't eaten anyone else before. I doubt she'd start now. She does take a bit of time to get used to, though, and I'm still not there after around nine or ten months."

Aya reached out and shook Kang's hand in turn with her own right, he seemed pleasant enough. Even if he was a big dragon.

"That's a relief. You've been kind to answer me. I look forward to working with you in the future, if we do have to work together."

Yes, Kang definitely liked her. "You as well, Ms. Brea."
