The rest of the crew assembled on the Observation Deck to meet the latest editions to their numbers. After the revelation that their worlds are gone, many of them are even more eager to see people they knew from home.

Several people are set up near the doors to provide the new people with omnicoms and comm rings. They are also told they must read information about their current situation and a survival guide with their new omnicom. New crew-mates might see a tall dragonish guy with wings (but don't call him that) and purple girl among their number. There are also several authoritative-looking figures ready to introduce themselves.

There's a lot to tell the new people. It's going to be a lot to take in.

[ooc: Only new characters and Command Staff can start new threads for introductions, to limit the number of threads. Everyone else, just tag in and have your guys greet the newbies.]

Dean stopped by, he always tried even if he was usually disappointed. Visitation Day was mostly a waste. And so far he didn't see anybody from his and Sam's world. But catching sight of the guy missing a hand and checking out the scenary he couldn't help heading his way. Guy had the look of seeing his share of hell. Not a civvy with those eyes.

"Be glad you didn't wake up naked amidst zombies, man. That was one hell of a wake up. There's a tavern in the city at least if you want. Drinks are free. You already stop by W+P?".

Because news about your world being gone, and having to fight aliens goes down much better with a few drinks.

There was a small laundry list of subjects that would immediately capture Ash's attention; zombies, taverns, and free drinks were among these. They also ranked pretty high on that list, and so Dean was looking like a beacon of light in the dismal crapsack alien world he was just thrust into.

Free drinks.

"You just said the magic words, my friend." Ash held his hand out. "Name's Ash. Did the zombies thing already, and don't care to do it ever again. What's W & P?"

Dean smirked at that, because he was from a crapsack world, and those words were very important to him too.

"Dean, and I mean Weapons and Possessions. Stacy only has a few items but still better to check your locker if you haven't already."

He then nodded at the zombie comment. Yeah, not a civilian. "Don't blame you, they're fun to gank except when they all show up at once."

Weapons and Possessions. It was kind of a dim hope, but if they had his chainsaw, his hand and his trusty boomstick there... "I will. Thanks."

Ash was totally a civilian. He gave a tip of a nod in agreement to Dean's comment. "Dealin' with an entire army of 'em in one night was never my idea of weekend out. Necronomicon ex Mortis... you ever hear of it?"

His eyes widened briefly, slightly impressed, "An army? Shit, least we had plenty of back up here. And nah, not really, bet Sam has. That's my kid brother. He's the nerdy one with his nose stuck in the books."

Dean then gestured to the hallway as he added about Weapons and Possessions, "I can show you the way there if you don't know. Usually people stop there first after getting de-slimed."

Duly noted. Ask the kid and make sure he hadn't heard of it.

"Yeah I guess I skipped that part of the tour." He walked.

Ash really wanted to inquire more about what kind of zombies Dean battled, but he had to remind himself that time and places were all kinds of hooky here--he wanted to make sure they weren't zombies that happened because of him messing with the time-stream.

And, more importantly, "And you've never seen any zombies around here, right?"

Dean nodded and started to lead the way there. However, Ash's next question made him stop and stare at him, "Dude, I just said I freaking woke up to freaking zombies on board. Total Co Ed Naked Zombie Fighting. I've seen other crazy shit back home, but this was here. Some virus got loose and fucked some of the people in the pods. We never got much info who, just that none of them were related to anybody awake at the time."

Which could mean that some of the people who are awake now might have been affected by the losses, but hard to say.

Oh great. He could have woken up a deadite. With that little clarification (as opposed to just waking up in general, naked, and surrounded by zombies which has happened to Ash in the comics oops) he crinkled his nose. "Shit."

More like even more family and friends could have woken up as some, or him, it was possible.

"Yeah, Stacy took care of most of them. Was a while back, and we're dealing more with the Ohm now."
