The rest of the crew assembled on the Observation Deck to meet the latest editions to their numbers. After the revelation that their worlds are gone, many of them are even more eager to see people they knew from home.

Several people are set up near the doors to provide the new people with omnicoms and comm rings. They are also told they must read information about their current situation and a survival guide with their new omnicom. New crew-mates might see a tall dragonish guy with wings (but don't call him that) and purple girl among their number. There are also several authoritative-looking figures ready to introduce themselves.

There's a lot to tell the new people. It's going to be a lot to take in.

[ooc: Only new characters and Command Staff can start new threads for introductions, to limit the number of threads. Everyone else, just tag in and have your guys greet the newbies.]

Bight dipped his head slowly, "Many of those we care for may well yet be amongst the pods, there is hope," he commented as he drew a hand along her back reassuringly, before nodding with a warm smile, "I have every faith in you, together we shall see this through and return Krynn to its rightful place,"

"They are not individually more powerful than the gods, it is in their use of powers and by sheer numbers that they overrun and destroy worlds, I have fought with the crew, they can be beaten,"

Linsha narrowed her eyes.

"So they can be beaten. Good. But as there are so many of them and they use powers, we must find some way to rout them, right? I suppose this Stacy doesn't know any ready recipes. It's up to us. Must we destroy them all to get Krynn back? Or just make them restore what they've destroyed? Are there any worlds that have already been restored? Oh," she looked around at the busy, happy crowds, "perhaps these are the questions I should ask a bit later. Now there are more practical issues. What do people eat here? Where do they live? How do they provide for themselves? And can I get some more decent clothing than this next-to-nothing?" She noticed that Crucible was in his splendid robes, but she knew that his clothes, in fact, were his own transformed scales.

"Indeed, they can be. We have already beaten off an invasion force, there are many more however. They supposedly have a device that may be able to bring back the worlds that they have destroyed," He replied softly, "I will answer any questions you have, perhaps for now best to get settled in. As to what people eat there is a nutritious but quite bland slop available, though as many would say unappetizing and tasteless, much otherwise is provided by the ship and otherwise gathered on shore leaves when they are given,"

"As to accommodations, there are crew quarters available for most, though many find a home amongst the many buildings of the city on the level below us, many buildings from the different worlds have been moved below, including the palace," He explained with a smile, "There might be something left in the palace that might go well for you, otherwise we do have a clothier on board that could make something up for you,"

"Is your palace here? That's great!" Linsha smiled. "Then I think we should go there now, indeed. Yes, they've given me some devices, and they said I must read something important on this device," she showed the omnicom to Crucible. "Can you explain these devices to me? Anyway, this is not a place to read anything, there are too many people here. Let's go home."

"It is indeed," Bight replied with a smile before nodding, "I will show you what I have learned of the device, but for now let us head to the Palace," He gave her a gentle squeeze before stepping away, taking her hand in his as he did so.

"Yes, let's go," she put her hand in his with full confidence, as always.

"Right this way then," He replied with his usual confidence and swagger as he led her to the entrance to the Observation deck and toward the transport tubes, "These will take us where we need to go, I will need to return to help other newcomers once you're settled in though," he replied with a softer smile, "Can't forsake my duties as councilor now can I,"

"But certainly! I suppose there are people here who arrive and don't have their loved ones to meet them, and they still need some help and guidance - as you had, when you appeared here, right?" Linsha said. "All I want now is look for a bit of decent clothes, read this comm and have a bit of respite of all this, just to gather my thoughts. And then I think I would like to return to the observation desk, for there are a lot of people to meet and I would like to understand what I can do here."

"There are many indeed who aren't as fortunate as you and I, there are many that are the only ones from their worlds," Bight looked down to her with a smile, "We'll see what we can find for you then, and a respite you shall have, when you are ready we can return," he replies as he steps up to the entrance to the lift.

"To the City," he stated aloud as he stepped out into the tube, gesturing her forward to join him before the two would be whisked downward through the tubes downward to the city level.
