Meat n' Greet
The rest of the crew assembled on the Observation Deck to meet the latest editions to their numbers. After the revelation that their worlds are gone, many of them are even more eager to see people they knew from home.
Several people are set up near the doors to provide the new people with omnicoms and comm rings. They are also told they must read information about their current situation and a survival guide with their new omnicom. New crew-mates might see a tall dragonish guy with wings (but don't call him that) and purple girl among their number. There are also several authoritative-looking figures ready to introduce themselves.
There's a lot to tell the new people. It's going to be a lot to take in.
[ooc: Only new characters and Command Staff can start new threads for introductions, to limit the number of threads. Everyone else, just tag in and have your guys greet the newbies.]

"Hello," he said as he approached. "Are you all right? Do you have any questiosn?"
no subject
"Hi. I'm okay, I guess. I mean, given the situation. I can't really be okay after hearing all this, but what can I do, right? But I have to ask, are our worlds really destroyed? Is everything gone? Or not everything, the guides said that some stuff was saved, and obviously a lot of people are okay, but what about everything and everyone else? There were a lot of people on my world alone and I'm betting that that's the case for most others here. And what are these creatures exactly? I was reading what it said, but it's a little overwhelming. Can aliens really do that much damage? But I guess it said that outright. Have you been here for awhile? You came up to me to answer things, so I guess that's pretty obvious, so never mind. And, um, are we really on a living ship? I've never seen anything like this before. At least not in reality, but fiction doesn't count."
no subject
"As for the Ohm... I haven't seen them destroy a universe personally, but I do know they're incredibly numerous and they can do a lot of damage. There are probably Ohm types we've never seen before, much larger than the carrier ships we've encountered. I've been here for..." he paused. "I guess this is my fourth pod release. And this ship is definitely alive. You can feel the corridors pulsing. Well, I can feel them pulsing; I don't know about you."
no subject
"I guess that's fair. I mean if there's a lot of them who knows what they're capable of. Teamwork, I guess. So we have to do the same then, right?" A beat. "How often do the pods open? For context. And I can kind of feel it moving a bit-- at least I could kind of feel it in those caverns-- but that's still a really weird thought. It's kind of like getting eaten which sounds really unpleasant." She made a brief thoughtful noise, before she asked, "This ship is really huge, right? I guess we have to make the best of this." She was processing the dump of info they'd received, already, so now it was mostly finer details. And verification, presumably.

"They open..." Well, it was kind of hard to tell on the ship, but-- "Maybe around every one or two months apart? Anyway, when it happens, a lot of people gather on the deck to see if anyone they know is out."
He smiled. "Kind of like being in the belly of the whale, isn't it? A big alien whale. But so far, no one's been digested." Then he sobered a little. "That doesn't mean there's nothing dangerous on the ship, though. Some of the things stored in containment areas around here break out on occasion... and there are a handful of crew members who have made attempts to harm others. Usually others from their world. But for the most part, I'd say everyone knows we have to work together."
no subject
She nodded. "Right! Exactly like that. Like in Pinocchio. Only I guess it must be rude to compare Stacy to Monstro. But that's awful to hear. I don't know why people would be fighting amongst themselves, when there's a big threat we should work together against." She shifted, "But I'm glad it's mostly okay. It's really awful when people are fighting each other, instead of working together. So are there lots of missions and things we have to go on?"
no subject
"It's not as bad as it sounds. Time passes kind of strangely here, but new people seem to come in pretty regularly. Anyway, there may be people you know here that aren't listed."
In Zouichi's opinion, comparing the ship to Monstro would be pretty generous. Sure, the whale had plenty of digestive juices in there, but it was just an animal in the end. "Not everyone here was a model citizen back home. Some of them come from warring factions, or worlds in which they were mistreated at the hands of others. Or did the mistreating themselves."
He nodded. "There are a lot of missions. And most of the time, you don't really have a say in whether you go or not. ...in fact, sometimes, you only get the vaguest mission objective to tell you what you're supposed to do in the first place. Supposedly, it's some kind of destiny thing." Well, that or the people giving the missions didn't trust them.
no subject
She shook her head, disheartened. It wasn't great to think there was fighting on top of all the awful things she'd already learnt. "That's too bad. I hope that everyone can learn to work together better, though. We should be trying to help save each other's worlds-- and everyone else's-- instead of fighting. But what, are there, like, supervillains on the ship or something?" A legitimate concern.
"Oh. Well I guess that makes sense. They're probably pretty important, right? If they're happening in the first place. So we just have to do what we have to do, or something." She wasn't sure what she thought about the destiny thing.
no subject
"There are people who would be considered villains on the ship. Or some people who just sort of fall in between what you might consider good and evil. For example, I understand Lex Luthor has something of an infamous reputation on his own world."
no subject
She paused, before she said, "I'm sorry, you were being really nice and I forgot to introduce myself! I'm Maxine. Or Cyclone."
no subject
He smiled a little. "Don't worry about it. Kanoe Zouichi. Just Zouichi is fine."
no subject
Maxine beamed back at that. "It's nice to meet you, Zouichi. Considering the circumstances I mean. Thank you for trying to help me out. I mean I'm still a little confused but that's probably normal, right? And you did help a lot, really."

With a little wave, he excused himself, looking for the next person
