There was a Grinder in the City.

A dangerous, world-conquering Grinder. A footsoldier in the machine army that had nigh-obliterated humanity on an Earth.

And it was apparently taking a casual stroll throughout the City.

It was certainly looking for something, but what?

"I've got an antivirus program I can use on them, but there's still the matter of finding them," Tenaya said. "Now that you've heard it, do you think you'd be able to pick it up again? Recognize that feeling or anything?"

Will nodded. "That's good. But we still need to find them. And I guess I should be able to do that, if I keep sending out the magic in an area around me as I'm passing people by. But I don't know how long I'll be able to keep that up if I'm trying it whenever I pass by someone."

"Try to figure out a way to keep tabs on people however you can," Tenaya said. "In the meantime, I'm going to keep looking for this one place--it's got just the technology we'd need to stop him."

And now she turned back to the Grinder. "You. Keep looking for the Garage."

"But why would I want to look for a smelly old garage?" the Grinder whined.

"Do it, or she zaps you again," Tenaya threatened. Yes, she was using you as a threat, Will.

Will nodded. "Alright. Let me know if you find anything."

She didn't comment on the threat, though something did come to mind just then. "Oh. I'm Will. What's your name?"

"Tenaya," she answered. "I'll make sure to keep in contact with you over a lock. Not sure how well it'd hold up against him, but if he doesn't know I'm looking for him, that's all the better."

You have failed me for the last time... snarled a deep voice, hardly a whisper from anywhere else.

Then again, maybe Venjix wasn't going to be so hard to find after all.

Glaring, Tenaya downmorphed her blaster and let her visor slide over her eyes.

"That's definitely Venjix, but I'm having a hard time tracking him."

"Well, that's incredibly lucky of us," Will said, her hands already gathering some sparks of quintessence. "Let's see what happens if I use a greater amount of this, maybe that'll flush him out."

And as such, Will sent out another pulse of Quintessence.

Hoshi and Seraphiel decided to practice flying around the ship for today, just to make sure that they weren't rusty. She did notice Tenaya and Will down below before making a notion to Seraphiel to go down with her.

She hit the ground and gave the both of them a friendly wave, smiling behind her mask. She was too comfortable in her Rider suit for now, but she would eventually de-henshin soon.

Will nodded over at Tenaya. Yeah, she heard it alright. But she still couldn't tell exactly where it was coming from. Was it from that... whatever that just landed and waved at them, or was it something else?

Hoshi approached Will and Tenaya, still keeping her friendly disposition up. She wondered if she ought to take the Memory out of the Driver now, but surely they had to know about Nazca by now, right? After all, she had been pretty public with her new identity.

"Something the matter?" asked Philip, walking up to them holding a book in his hands.

Just what she needed--a problem. Philip hardly looked like the fighting type, and if he could become a hostage, she wasn't willing to risk it.

"Nothing," she said easily. "Just mapping out the City a little more."

Will nodded. "Yeah, no problem at all!" She said, wondering what exactly was going to happen. Was this going to be a fight anyway, or would they maybe get lucky for now and not need to worry about that.
