Rest For The Weary? [Open]

Following the battle on Lirath, it seemed that six people had disappeared and was missing through a lot of the stuff afterwards, such as Superman's funeral. Over the rooftops of the City, a portal opened up and spat out six people as if it wanted to be a practical joker.

In quick succession, some of those six sprang into action so that they didn't end up going splat on the floor. Young mages Vivio Takamachi and Sakura Kinomoto used their flying spells to stop their fall, Sonic the Hedgehog gathered the still bruised and battered body of Sasami Masaki Jurai and used some of the rooftops to bounce to the bottom. Finally, the elder Spider-Man used a number of web lines to catch himself and the other with him, the long missing Lowe Guele.

"Sheesh, can't even catch a break without being slung into some other mess!" Sonic griped, setting Sasami to her feet.

"Sounds like you guys had a real blast." Lowe said as Spidey sat him down.

"It's... a long story." Vivio said, returning to her child form.

"Right now... I think a bit of rest'll do us good." Sasami said.

The rumble of a Ridevendor was heard as Negi turned the corner and his expression brightened up happily. "Sasami!" he waved.

Sasami turned her head to see Negi drive up. Her own expression brightened up, despite how tired and sore she still was.

"Negi-kun!" she called out, parting from the group and trying to make her way to her dear friend.

Negi dismounted after killing the engine and sweeping her into a hug. "God don't scare me like that!" he chided. "After the mission I looked everywhere for you!"

Whoa, hey. There's the cafe girl, and looking quite worse for the wear. Shoutarou's quick to jog over to her. "Hey, Sasami, what happened to you?"

"Shoutarou... right?" Sasami said, noticing the one-half Rider. "I was in that fight with the Ohm and before I could get back I got separated and sent to deal with those mazes again..."

The detective's expression was definitely less than pleased, though at the ship rather than Sasami. Couldn't it have let her recover first? "Damn... Let's get you to medical, then. Can you walk?"

Hay Lin appeared from virtually out of nowhere, running toward Sasami with a distraught look on her face. "What happened?"

With a sigh, Sasami began to tell what had happened. "I was in that fight on Lirath and ended up coming back, only to have GLaDOS grab me and a few others to run those mazes again...!"

"Really...?" Hay Lin sighed grimly; she had to run those mazes herself, and didn't enjoy them one bit. Matter-of-fact, that's where she had been prior to this past week.

"What else happened?" she hugged the other girl as tightly as she dared.

She couldn't help but return the hug, enjoying the loving embrace.

She left Einhart alone. Now she felt bad. "I'm sorry, Einhart-chan. I didn't know GLaDOS would snatch me again..." Reaching out, she hugged her friend gently.

Einhart blushed a bit as she felt Vivio's arms wrap around her again. "It's... it's alright," she said. "It.. wasn't like you had any choice."

With Agumon sleeping the day away, dreaming about hamburgers, Taichi was out for a walk when he noticed Sakura there. Waving at her, he jogged up. "Hey, how've you been?"

"Taichi!" Sakura called back, noticing the other boy. "Well, I dunno if you can consider being stuck running mazes 'good'." She looked back up at the ceiling where the portal had been. "I've been... whereever that was... since that fight."

She looked back up, blinking. "Oh, no - I hope they weren't worried about me!"

"Well at least now we know where you were," said Taichi, shaking his head as he smiled at her. "I heard that maze thing is a, well annoying. You're not too hurt are you?"

It didn't take long before a video camera popped in full view of Sakura's face only seconds before she was glomped by a worried Tomoyo.

"Hoee--!" Sakura yelped, barely able to stand up before Tomoyo plowed into her. She wrapped her arms around her friend reassuringly. "Tomoyo-chan...! I-I'm sorry...!"
