trans_9 | Rest For The Weary? [Open]

Following the battle on Lirath, it seemed that six people had disappeared and was missing through a lot of the stuff afterwards, such as Superman's funeral. Over the rooftops of the City, a portal opened up and spat out six people as if it wanted to be a practical joker.

In quick succession, some of those six sprang into action so that they didn't end up going splat on the floor. Young mages Vivio Takamachi and Sakura Kinomoto used their flying spells to stop their fall, Sonic the Hedgehog gathered the still bruised and battered body of Sasami Masaki Jurai and used some of the rooftops to bounce to the bottom. Finally, the elder Spider-Man used a number of web lines to catch himself and the other with him, the long missing Lowe Guele.

"Sheesh, can't even catch a break without being slung into some other mess!" Sonic griped, setting Sasami to her feet.

"Sounds like you guys had a real blast." Lowe said as Spidey sat him down.

"It's... a long story." Vivio said, returning to her child form.

"Right now... I think a bit of rest'll do us good." Sasami said.

"That's fine," said Negi, letting her rest against him. "I'm just glad you're safe."

"And I'm glad to be safe..." Sasami admitted. "After all I did there, well..." She chuckled a bit. "You think you can take me home? At the very least, I want to make sure the others know I'm okay."

"All right, hop on. I've gotten this motorcycle thing down to an art form." He hands her a helmet.

Picking up the fallen ribbon and putting on the helmet, Sasami moved to hop on the motorcycle, wrapping her arms around Negi as she did.

Taking off for the house, he grinned as he headed for it. "We should be getting there quick. I've memorized the routes now."

"You've really done that?" Sasami asked, a bit surprised. She couldn't help but chuckle. "That's really helpful...!"

"Yeah it's easy enough to navigate this place once I've learned it," remarked Negi, pulling up to the front door. "Here we go."

"Thanks, Negi-kun...!" With that, she hopped off the bike and made her way to the door and opened it. "Aqua-neesan? Hoshi-neesan? Reimi-neesan? Anyone? I'm home!"

As she waited for some sort of response, she looked back at Negi, as if asking him to join her.

Negi smiled and nodded, killing the engine and setting it back into vendor mode. "Coming in!" he proclaimed politely.

As Sasami stepped in, she noticed there was still no answer. Maybe they had stepped out?

In either case, she started to make her way to the couch, the heavy and bladed footwear detaching at her touch as she did.

Helping her to the couch, Negi went to get her a blanket and a drink. "Anything you want?"

"Anything's fine right now!" Sasami said. Detaching the straps and pulling off the backplate, Sasami removed her upper armor, leaving her in the black undershirt and shorts.

"Oh, that feels so much better..." she whispered.

Bringing out a cup of warm tea, he set it down on the table and sat down next to Sasami. "You're just tired right?" he asked, concerned.

"A little sore from both the fighting and the mazes, but beyond that, yeah..." Sasami said, smiling. "I'll be fine, though..."

Negi sighed as he leaned against her and began to press against her shoulders. "You're tense," he said with a matter of fact voice.

Sasami let out a sigh as she felt Negi's hands on her shoulders. "...maybe a little, I am." she admitted.

"Figured. Aqua let me sleep on her after the fight and all. I woke up three days later on the couch." said Negi, sighing as he massaged Sasami's shoulders.

Sasami blushed a bit hearing that Negi slept with Aqua after the fight. She missed out on such an adorable opportunity!

"W-Wow... I hope they weren't bad to you while you slept."

"I didn't wake up with any marks so I'm good," chuckled Negi. "Still... Sasami, I have to ask something."

"Are you okay with us, together? I know I'm still a kid but I think I'm getting close to adulthood. Heck I am one in the Magical World." He sighed. "What I'm trying to say is, are you okay with us, being together completely now?"

Sasami blushed at what Negi was saying. Was he admitting that they were together? As a couple?

"Negi-kun, I... yeah, yeah I think I am." she admitted. "I mean, I'm well over seven hundred years old. I have Tsunami bonded to me. I'm... not a normal person by a long shot." she turned to look at Negi, a soft smile on her face. "We've been through a lot... it seems silly, but... I'm actually comfortable with being with you. Like that."

"Yeah. I think... we're old enough to finally decide what we need, or want."

Wrapping his hand around hers, he pulled her close. "Sasami? I'm comfortable with you too."

"Negi-kun..."

With Negi pulling her closer, Sasami moved to rest her head on his shoulder. It had been such a long day... few days, actually.

Negi held her, running a hand through the long locks of hair. And slowly, he dipped his head down and whispered, "Sasami..."

And his lips connected with hers.

A small gasp left Sasami as she felt Negi's lips press against hers. It felt... odd. Not like the other, more teasing and adorable kisses she would do to Negi all the time. No, this seemed like the kinds she seen in those shoujou manga she's read or on those soap opera shows - the kind Ayeka always covered her eyes from seeing.

And despite everything, despite how odd it was, it felt good. Slowly, she eased herself into it, returning the kiss.

Kissing her felt right, to Negi as he shifted against her, holding her hand as he kissed her gently. It was a slow, lingering kiss, so unlike kissing anyone else. She was soft and her lips even more, and yet this felt right to him.
