We can rebuild, right? [Open to all interested parties]
Several significant data reports were still trickling in, and already Billy's overworked mind knew one thing: this workload was going to be one of his least favorites. Overwhelming, exhausting, sometimes confusing, and with the pressure of time attached as well. Stacy could simply not be relied upon to give the crew a break, and thus they needed to be prepared for a battle like that again. As soon as possible. But how soon was that? Today's meeting's purpose was to make it as soon as possible.
On the board against one wall of the lab, he threw up a starting list of repairs that needed to be made. All the significant weapons and armor that had been turned in, important communications equipment, crew items requiring immediate attention for that person's full functionality, the most often used generic vehicles, and the specialty/personally owned vehicles. That group would be the easiest to select, he hoped.
How easy or difficult this would be would not be fully known until he saw a spread of who was assisting, and how many. Could they complete everything fast enough for the crew's satisfaction? That would be the main worry from here on out.
Billy was almost relieved when they started trickling in. As he waved, not quite as energetically as usual, they might notice one or two signs of the battle. His movements didn't look quite as easy as before, some trace of pain still behind them, and a long bandage now tied around his forehead. Some would look better, some would look worse. He sincerely wished to see more of the former than the latter.
They needed all the healthy help they could get.

Meeting before the meeting [closed to Kaylee]
As soon as she appeared, he hurriedly waved her into the room. "Hey, there you are. There's a lot to cover and not much time."

Kaylee did her best to shove back her irritation as she waved to Billy and followed him into the room. With the exception of a small, relieved hug at seeing him in one piece, she stayed mostly business, and would until the meeting was over.
"Start right in then, shall we?"

There was a distressing shortage of that in the area lately. He took a deep breath before beginning with the explanation.
"Well...it must've been a short while after you disappeared. We were called down to a planet called Lirath to help the GIA defend against an invading force of Ohm. It was a full scale assault---we had to fight them on the ground and in the air, and there were rogue groups complicating things too. At one point, they set off a cold bomb. I've heard that Kang was in the Med Bay for a while."
He gave her a second to make plans to see him if she hadn't known, then continued on. "The ship was being assaulted the entire time too. It's sustained extensive damage, and that's why the Daligig and their allies are on board. They're helping us rebuild before we leave. We were lucky, though---it could have been much worse."
How much worse? Well, that's for now. "In the end, the radiation level from the attacks was reaching critical levels. Everyone in the atmosphere would have died if we hadn't been saved---by Superman, who took on the last enemy himself. He succeeded in stopping the attacks, but he didn't make it. I don't believe there were any other crew member deaths, though."
Billy still regretted never getting to know him, but he was starting to see the cold reality of being grateful for those who survived. "Jamie and I were in combat with the Rangers. We fought on the ground and in our zords. Neither of us are too injured, but we're both aching."

"Hey," Billy greeted him, making his way over. "It looks like your costume could use some repair too. I know you can't just hand it off to someone, but is there anything we can get you?"

"Hello! Wonderful to see you, you're looking very well!"

Billy was very relieved to have your assistance, Doctor, and he was never going to turn a hand away. But it was rather difficult to remain concentrating when those vigorous movements jarred a few hidden injuries. Twisting his gasp into a smile, he settled for warmly squeezing the Doctor's hand for a moment or two.
"---you. I was worried for a little while back there, but it seems we're all in reasonably good shape."

She observes Jamie closely as he enters the room, watches his interaction with Billy. And when Billy has finally moved to welcome the other attendants of the meeting, Kaylee quietly slips across the room and leans up against the wall next to Jamie.
"Look like you should be sleepin' instead of here, bao bei..."

Still, he strode up to Billy confidently, with a polite nod.
"Recognizing I'm somewhat out of my element here and have no capacity whatsoever to directly repair any of these devices, I'd nevertheless like to offer the help and support of the Magic Department, in the form of myself. At the very least, I have some spells that might be of use to your team, I think."

Re: Greeting before the meeting
But she was good at this stuff and she wanted to at least help her friends by making sure they fought in good, well-maintained equipment. So here she was. She gave Billy a little wave as she walked in, but she wasn't sure to do about interacting like she was in an official office or something.
The Actual Meeting
Billy waved a hand and opened the floor.

Re: The Actual Meeting
She already knew her work was going to be extensive, being part of most of the departments in engineering and being an overachiever when it came to engineering. So she settled in the back, taking notes and looking thoughtful as she tried figuring out how to best tackle her workload efficiently.

A lot of people in the room looked rather worse of for wear, and it struck her just how lucky her crew had been. No major injuries, and the worst she had was some bruises from being jostled around on the bridge. The Ptolemaios and the units were a different story - but she hoped they could be repaired.
