Allenby felt distinctly awkward as she walked into the lab. She might be co-head of Weapons and Defense, but... she didn't really feel like someone in charge of a department. Or a sub-department. Hell, given what had happened with Starfighter Command, she wasn't sure she belonged in any kind of hierarchy.

But she was good at this stuff and she wanted to at least help her friends by making sure they fought in good, well-maintained equipment. So here she was. She gave Billy a little wave as she walked in, but she wasn't sure to do about interacting like she was in an official office or something.
