Holes and Patches [OPEN FREE FOR ALL]
After the battle, the warriors' task was over. Their job, for now, was to rest and recover for the time being.
The healers' job, on the other hand, was far from over. Some exhausted from the battle, others rotating in, they took to their bay and continued the process of treating the wounded. Some patients were free to leave in a few minutes, while others would have some time (or quite some time) on the cots. Their mission: relax. Stay as still as possible.
Unfortunately, the temptation of so many familiar faces alive and about would ultimately prove to be too great. Keeping track of this group was going to be a third task all its own.
[this is a free for all for all your injured! Have them socialize, be thorns in the medics' side, try to escape, or bring the medics together for some action. Just note in your post if you'd like a medic to visit your character---if not, it's time for a chat!]

Then she shrugs again at that. "Uh, not exactly. I've got my own ways of dealing with it."

Injured he may be, but he can't help but try and pick on her just a little. She's a friend, and he has to do that once in awhile. It also may help her think he's not so injured, which could be a good thing. He saw that narrowing of her eyes.
"Aye, well," he says, more seriously. "I suppose as things go, we're not so badly off. It could have been a lot worse."

Then she nods. "Yeah. Could have been worse." She frowns, taking a sidelong glance toward some others. She could see some worse injuries from there. "I guess your armour did a good enough job, and morphing took care of me."

That last thing she says catches his attention, however, and he turns away from watching the other patients and gives her a curious look. "Ye call it morphing as well?"

((ooc: let me know if that's not okay dfgdfgd))

For all that talk in the past about the sacred threads and people's stories getting spread through the multiverse, it doesn't really occur to him that Rachel might be thinking of the tv show when she mentioned it. Pop culture references tend to go over his head most times, for obvious reasons. He just assumes that she knows somehow about Billy being the Blue Ranger from being on the ship.
"They're not quite like the one he's got, though," he adds thoughtfully. "The plans were a bit different."
(( OOC: it's perfectly fine! Jamie just...doesn't get it, lol. ))

"Fair enough," she says finally, shrugging it off. "But what works works, right?"
no subject
"I've got to go. I'll see ye later, aye?"
no subject
"Right," she says, shrugging, before she straightens up, and turns to leave with a wave over her shoulder. "See you, then."
