Holes and Patches [OPEN FREE FOR ALL]
After the battle, the warriors' task was over. Their job, for now, was to rest and recover for the time being.
The healers' job, on the other hand, was far from over. Some exhausted from the battle, others rotating in, they took to their bay and continued the process of treating the wounded. Some patients were free to leave in a few minutes, while others would have some time (or quite some time) on the cots. Their mission: relax. Stay as still as possible.
Unfortunately, the temptation of so many familiar faces alive and about would ultimately prove to be too great. Keeping track of this group was going to be a third task all its own.
[this is a free for all for all your injured! Have them socialize, be thorns in the medics' side, try to escape, or bring the medics together for some action. Just note in your post if you'd like a medic to visit your character---if not, it's time for a chat!]

That he'd really...
People just didn't kill Superman. He came back, even when it seemed impossible. Her heart heavy, and kicking herself a little for the green idealism that a journalist had to put aside at some point, Tana pushed away his curtain and looked at Kon. She sat down at the edge of the bed and put her hand over his. "Kid?"
no subject
In his shock, he hadn't even thought to message her. What was wrong with him?
But she was safe, at least she was safe.
"You okay? You're okay, right?"
no subject
She pressed her lips to his, "Scared me half to death." For a variety of reasons. If they could kill Superman, how easy would it be for the Ohm to off him?
no subject
No, he wasn't okay.
"I'm not okay. But I'm not hurt that badly. Just banged around pretty good. There was this...guy there. In a suit of armor. Super strong--hit harder than--"
Than Kal did.
"He messed me and Kara up pretty badly, but I'm already healing up."
no subject
Not all in details, but rather, to coax it gently out of Kon. "How is she? Did they tell you at all?" She squeezed his hand lightly, reaching up to grab it. "It was hard to keep an eye on everything going on down there, and keep abreast of the stuff here." Tana exhaled, and looked around at the busy crowd of injured and medical staff.
For a moment, her gaze rested on that one bed with the pulled curtains, that no one was checking on. Tana tore her gaze away from it and looked back at Kon.
no subject
He squeezed her hand back, gently.

A tear threatened to spill over, and Tana tilted her head up to make sure it didn't escape. Or if it did, that it wasn't quite so obvious. She'd never been a particularly weepy person, and the tears annoyed her a little.
no subject
Yeah, he lost it again. His face crinkled up into a pained expression mid-sentence and he had to bury his face in her shoulder.
no subject
It was hard to see him cry. Or rather, feel him cry. "It's alright, Kon," Tana whispered. "He did what he thought was right, didn't he?"
no subject
When Kon was upset, he talked. Just talked and talked.
If he was so upset he wasn't talking--or couldn't talk--it was a bad sign.
no subject
"I'm here, alright? I'll stay as long as you need me."
no subject
He looked away, eyes still glistening.
"It's just--I've been to too many funerals. Way too many."
Hers included.
no subject
He didn't have that many people to spread it out with, like she did.
