Holes and Patches [OPEN FREE FOR ALL]

After the battle, the warriors' task was over. Their job, for now, was to rest and recover for the time being.

The healers' job, on the other hand, was far from over. Some exhausted from the battle, others rotating in, they took to their bay and continued the process of treating the wounded. Some patients were free to leave in a few minutes, while others would have some time (or quite some time) on the cots. Their mission: relax. Stay as still as possible.

Unfortunately, the temptation of so many familiar faces alive and about would ultimately prove to be too great. Keeping track of this group was going to be a third task all its own.

[this is a free for all for all your injured! Have them socialize, be thorns in the medics' side, try to escape, or bring the medics together for some action. Just note in your post if you'd like a medic to visit your character---if not, it's time for a chat!]

And Hoshi was going to pout and a grumble a bit. She let it subside for now with a little sigh.

"Stop using logic," she whined a bit. "Other than that, I'm pretty good. Just tired and sore in a few places. It turns out that I ended up fracturing my wrist during that battle, so I won't be able to fight for a few weeks."

"I can't help it, I'm good at logic." He fell comfortably into a squishy chair near her bed - it was a little easier just pretending it was more of a beanbag than ... something meaty. "A few weeks, huh? Let's hope we don't run into anything that needs fighting in the meantime. Where were you fighting?"

[identity profile] radiantcourage.livejournal.com 2011-08-30 05:50 am (UTC)(link)
"Yeah, well, hmph!" Hoshi pushed herself up on the bed and laid back in it, definitely feeling relaxed.

"At first, Shoutarou, Philip, Ren and myself went to fight some cultists and we managed to win. After that, we rested up for a bit until the Rangers came to ask us to help them fight, so we were fighting Ohm left and right until a rather large Ohm came. Lash helped us score a victory and then we tried our best to just survive out there for the time being."

There was that word again.

"What the hell was the deal with those cultists, anyway?" Jr. had basically been on the ground the entire battle, so he didn't know what had happened during the civilian evacuation and on the ship until he had come back. And, well, the first thing he did when he got back onto the ship was come to medbay, as well as check in on his own friends.

"That's what I want to know. They were so insistent on 'the end this' or 'the end that' to the point of where I told them to shut up about it." And then there was the whole thing of Darkwing eating the leader, but she didn't want to get in to it.

"How did you fare out there?"

[identity profile] carrieswar.livejournal.com 2011-08-30 07:27 am (UTC)(link)
"Huh..." He considered that for a moment, even though it wasn't too much to go on to really get an idea of just what they were up to. "Wonder if it was some kind of coincidence."

But he shrugged that thought away, figuring that maybe he'd hear more later and instead focused on Hoshi's new question. "I didn't do too bad! Not to say that battle wasn't pretty damn tough, because it was. I'm glad we made it outta there in one piece, for the most part."

[identity profile] radiantcourage.livejournal.com 2011-08-30 07:38 am (UTC)(link)
"I wonder so, too. Maybe one of the ones we were fighting survived and could tell us more about what their goal was."

But, for now, she, too, would do the same and just dropped the subject on it now. She wasn't really too knowledgeable on it, to be honest. "I hear you on the battle being really tough. Hell, I was running on fumes on a few parts myself. But, yeah... I'm glad that people are okay."

[identity profile] carrieswar.livejournal.com 2011-08-30 05:52 pm (UTC)(link)
"Same here. Especially when they dropped that bomb -- for a minute I thought it was all over, and I'm glad it was only something that seriously screwed with the temperature. Not that that was fun, even my E.S. starts to screw up a little because of how low it dropped."

[identity profile] radiantcourage.livejournal.com 2011-08-30 05:59 pm (UTC)(link)
"E.S.?" Hoshi asked with a curious look in her eyes.

"But -- yeah. I can't be in cold temperatures that long anymore due to what happened here." She held up her right arm, pushing the sleeve back to reveal the scars on it. "My arm was broken back in my world and I had to get metal plates, rods, and screws in it. Thankfully, my Rider suit protects my arm and keeps it warm, but if I don't have that, I need to be kept in a warm environment."

[identity profile] carrieswar.livejournal.com 2011-08-30 08:31 pm (UTC)(link)
"My mech unit," he added. And then he raised his eyebrows when Hoshi pulled her sleeve back. "Really? Man ... good thing your suits were apparently made for that kind of thing. Cause that cold was bad."

[identity profile] radiantcourage.livejournal.com 2011-08-31 01:22 am (UTC)(link)
"Ooh! I'd like to see it one of these days, Jr.," she commented before nodding. "It was. There were a couple of times where I was knocked out of it and it felt more than just pins and needles at my skin - it was more like little knives almost."

[identity profile] carrieswar.livejournal.com 2011-08-31 09:40 pm (UTC)(link)
"Sure thing!" he said with a smile. "It's always down in the hangar. Hopefully you'll see it when we're not due out to fight again."

[identity profile] radiantcourage.livejournal.com 2011-09-02 02:19 am (UTC)(link)
"Then, I'll have to make sure to see it soon! Is it like one of those awesome robots you'd see in movies with the pilot just tearing through things?" she asked, curiosity definitely visible.

[identity profile] carrieswar.livejournal.com 2011-09-03 12:00 am (UTC)(link)
That was an odd way to look at it, but she wasn't so far off from how it was.

"I guess you can say that! The Ohm aren't that easy to tear through, though."

[identity profile] radiantcourage.livejournal.com 2011-09-03 11:44 am (UTC)(link)
Anticipation and excitement was simply nipping at her heels to see the E.S. Seeing new things always made her happy.

"I can imagine that they're not, but it's still so cool."
