Holes and Patches [OPEN FREE FOR ALL]
After the battle, the warriors' task was over. Their job, for now, was to rest and recover for the time being.
The healers' job, on the other hand, was far from over. Some exhausted from the battle, others rotating in, they took to their bay and continued the process of treating the wounded. Some patients were free to leave in a few minutes, while others would have some time (or quite some time) on the cots. Their mission: relax. Stay as still as possible.
Unfortunately, the temptation of so many familiar faces alive and about would ultimately prove to be too great. Keeping track of this group was going to be a third task all its own.
[this is a free for all for all your injured! Have them socialize, be thorns in the medics' side, try to escape, or bring the medics together for some action. Just note in your post if you'd like a medic to visit your character---if not, it's time for a chat!]

That part still worried him, though. He'd looked around, but seen no sight of them since being admitted. "We got each other here, and now they're being cared for. I want to go see them soon."
But he knows he shouldn't.

And he didn't look forward to that at all. He carefully propped himself up, trying to peek around the curtain. "Or maybe I can ask. Someone has to know. Lash sustained the heaviest damage, we just barely brought her in in time."

Jr. raised his eyebrows, looking concerned. "Lash?" He peeked over his shoulder, trying to follow Billy's gaze. He knew what he wanted to do, and to be perfectly honestly, Jr. would have been acting the same way. "Well, I'm not gonna be the guy to stop you if you want to take a look around at the other beds - I'd do that, too, to be truthful. She doesn't seem like the type to be down for too long, though."

As soon as he was declared healthy enough to, he planned to start just that. For now, though, he had friends to worry about. Slowly, carefully, he sat upright and started readying himself to move. "How many others do you have to check on?"

He shook his head. "But let's not assume the worst. He's probably fine!"

If anyone else died.

"... looks like there's a pretty big number who got knocked around pretty badly. But I haven't heard anything more than that."
Yet.

"I think I should probably see for myself." With some effort, he swung to sit upright and place his feet on the floor. "You can go, don't worry about me."

Bracing himself for incoming pain, Billy placed one hand against the wall and pushed upward. He winced---yes, it did hurt, his back was burning---but he was able to do it. No permanent damage to his mobility seemed to be present.
"I think I'll make it." He reached a hand back and lifted a sheet, twisting it over his bandages and hospital clothes to gain some sense of warmth. Next came the glasses, and the world was clearer. "You can go ahead, it's not as bad as I feared."
