Holes and Patches [OPEN FREE FOR ALL]
After the battle, the warriors' task was over. Their job, for now, was to rest and recover for the time being.
The healers' job, on the other hand, was far from over. Some exhausted from the battle, others rotating in, they took to their bay and continued the process of treating the wounded. Some patients were free to leave in a few minutes, while others would have some time (or quite some time) on the cots. Their mission: relax. Stay as still as possible.
Unfortunately, the temptation of so many familiar faces alive and about would ultimately prove to be too great. Keeping track of this group was going to be a third task all its own.
[this is a free for all for all your injured! Have them socialize, be thorns in the medics' side, try to escape, or bring the medics together for some action. Just note in your post if you'd like a medic to visit your character---if not, it's time for a chat!]

"Really, my body heals much faster and I'm built to take extreme beating's and then some. I wouldn't be a very good warrior in my world if I couldn't" She half-joked since it was true. Molten Behemoths, massive dragons, Gigantic sentinels, lava spewing worms, and mechanical monstrosities amongst many other foes she had encountered. If you were resilient and extremely durable you weren't going far in Azeroth.
"Is... is everyone okay? Did you check up on your friends and such?" More importantly the lass he was fond of.

"Oh, aye, and the fact they've wrapped ye to within an inch of your life is just a precaution, I'm sure," he comments dryly. Still, he does believe what she's saying. She wouldn't have survived that war she had told him about if she didn't have something to help her with that.
He shakes his head at the question. "They want me to have one of those x-rays to make sure I've not broken anything, so I'm stuck here until they do. I don't think Victoria was anywhere where she would've been in danger, though."
He's not entirely sure, however, and some of the worry he's feeling about her is evident on his face. It stays there as he goes on. "Most of the Rangers are okay, I think, just a wee bit beat up. Lash, though...she was hurt pretty badly."
no subject
"Really I'll be okay~ And I'm glad that most of you got out with few scratches, that's a big relief. Maybe you should take a look around soon, check up on her and such?" At the mention of lash her face turned a bit down, "What happened? I didn't get a chance to keep up with the battle you guys were engaged in after helping Billy arrive... I was sorta... blocked..."
And that had been where she had gotten jumped by the new Ohm as well.

"She decided she was going to take that tank of hers and have us throw her onto the Juggernaut so she could distract it while we attacked. And then she thought it would be a good idea to have her tank blown up on purpose."
There's an annoyed note in his voice, but it's not actually directed at Lash. He's blaming himself much more for what happened to her. "I knew it was a bad idea, but she wouldn't listen to any of us. She just went." He sighs, looking troubled and unhappy. "Some leader I am. I should have stopped her somehow."
no subject
"I should go and commend her later then, that level of bravery is only seen in the best of the Horde. And you, keeping a level head in order to make her distraction and tactic work and following through are the signs of a true leader. No one likes having others get hurt, but as a team it's necessary to always trust your comrades." The simple talk brought many memories surging through her thoughts, how proud she was herself when she was appointed captain of her own elite squad and her team's siege of Icecrown...
"You guys were amazin', don' be so hard on yerself kay?" She managed to lean up, wincing a bit at the strain from the bandages on her tender flesh and placed a simple, sweet kiss on his cheek, smiling at the friend she had grown fond of.

Jamie realizes that she's right about having to take risks, but he still doesn't like having to sit back while his friends are in danger, especially when he's not in a position to do anything about it. Ronnae's kiss does a lot to hearten him, though, and he gives her a squeeze of her hand in return, along with a more genuine smile.
"I'll try not to, Ronnae. Being a leader, though...it's more difficult than I'd imagined."
no subject
"But it's not like that at all... You're responsible for your team as much as they're responsible for themselves. We're there to lead and follow through with tactics, carry the burden of each mission on our backs as we do our best for the best possible results both for the mission, and for our team."
She sighs and looks back up at him, "It's a hard job, and only those ready for such a heavy burden can truly understand how important it is to be one. You've experienced it first hand and I have no doubts that you'll continue to be a great leader Jamie. You really are a strong person, both here," her hand moved to gently touch his head, "And here," it soon followed and rested on where his heart would be.
no subject
He knows he's still got a lot to learn about being a leader, however. It's going to take time, and as much as he doesn't care for the idea of it, it'll mean more tough decisions will have to be made. He's touched by that confidence she's showing in him, and he's glad he's gotten the chance to get to become friends with her. And it brings to mind something else he's thought about once or twice.
"I'd say I'm not the only strong one here, though. Ye know..it's a shame we've not got more morphers. You'd make a very good Ranger, Ronnae."
no subject
"I'd s-say I wouldn't t-think so, but if you t-think I would... T-thanks Jamie, that means a lot to me."
And it did, to hear that she would from Jamie was very endearing. Hearing it from her close friend from her world, or her mate was sort of expected, for encouragement, but hearing it from someone she had befriended on the ship was different and she couldn't couldn't deny the warmth that she was feeling all over.
no subject
She's a good fighter as well, but that's more secondary. She's got the heart, and the spirit, and if there ever were more morphers, he'd offer one to her without hesitation.
"Even if we can't have ye as one, though, Ronnae, I'm glad that you're here with us. And I'd say Billy'd agree with me there." Although, that brings up something else - he hasn't had a chance to track his friend down, and is wondering a bit where he might have gotten off too.
If anyone would know, it would be her, so he asks, "Say, have ye actually had a chance to see him yet?"
no subject
"That's where I was headed before I got put in here. I wanted to check up on him... "
no subject
It would be better if Billy came to her, so she'd have a chance to rest, but he wouldn't be surprised if Ronnae didn't get it into her head to go off and look for him given half a chance. If she's going to go and do that, it'd likely make things easier if she knew where he was.
"What do ye say?"

Providing, of course, the doctors let him back in to see her, but he's not really thinking of that part as he gives her a wave and heads off to try and find Billy. With luck, he'll find him soon, and they'll be able to spend some time together. And, if he's really lucky, he'll find Victoria, too.
