Holes and Patches [OPEN FREE FOR ALL]
After the battle, the warriors' task was over. Their job, for now, was to rest and recover for the time being.
The healers' job, on the other hand, was far from over. Some exhausted from the battle, others rotating in, they took to their bay and continued the process of treating the wounded. Some patients were free to leave in a few minutes, while others would have some time (or quite some time) on the cots. Their mission: relax. Stay as still as possible.
Unfortunately, the temptation of so many familiar faces alive and about would ultimately prove to be too great. Keeping track of this group was going to be a third task all its own.
[this is a free for all for all your injured! Have them socialize, be thorns in the medics' side, try to escape, or bring the medics together for some action. Just note in your post if you'd like a medic to visit your character---if not, it's time for a chat!]

Red Robin | Open
Red Robin sat to the side, out of the way, cape and cowl covering him pretty thoroughly. He's still, not showing that there's pain in his chest and in his arm and shoulder, but it's obvious that he's been scraped up-- his cape and mask are both torn in spots, holes in the protective covering. A tear reveals more of the side of his face, bloody bruises along with it. For all intents and purposes, though, he got off lucky. And as much as he's eager to get out of there, he's not going to distract the staff, either, from their more important work. Besides, he did have a preference over treatment-- it was just harder to be picky about it in this situation.
((ooc: some of his files are locked due to privacy, but he can do general care from anyone. And, of course, any and all chitchat is welcome! (8 ))

She did notice someone out of the corner of her eye and so, she sat up a bit and gave Tim a small smile, encouraging him to come closer to where she was right now.
"You holding up all right there?"

She paused for a brief moment and smiled. "I'm Hoshi, nice to meet you. I wish the circumstances were better, though."
no subject
"Red Robin. I believe I've seen you around Engineering," he said, and he nearly smiled. "I'm not entirely sure that there are good circumstances on this ship."
no subject
"A pleasure to meet you, Red Robin! I think I've seen you around, too!" Then, at his comment, she chuckled. "I believe you can make them happen if you just try hard enough."

Re: Red Robin | Open
Clearly self-healing biological armor was the way to go"So what happened?"
Re: Red Robin | Open
"The Ohm being several sizes too large happened," he said flatly. "Not to mention the saboteurs. Still, what I sustained seems to have been relatively minor."

"I'd say the Ohm got the worse end of that deal. I'm making the rounds visiting the helpless invalids."
no subject
Another near laugh from Tim, before he commented, "You're in the wrong place, then. I'm a bit far removed from 'invalid' right now."
no subject
"I did run into one of the new Ohm types, though. Interesting how quickly they adapted to the capabilities of the spacecraft from the last battle."
no subject
Growing more serious, he nodded. "A sign of adaptability and intelligence," he commented. "Not to mention more going on in the background." Then, he shook his head, "And the appearance of these 'Catastrophists' is troubling."

Re: Red Robin | Open
As wounded as anyone else there, Billy slowly made his way to stand nearby for a short visit. He had his rounds to make.
"How's it all holding together?"
no subject
"Fine. I was relatively lucky," he said, still with the slight gravel to his voice. "Nothing too serious on your own end either, I'd hope."
no subject
Billy pressed his palm into his forehead, the catastrophe clearly playing out in his mind. "That was up in the air, though. I heard there was more trouble on the ground?"
no subject
He frowned at Billy's question, for a moment, but his voice was largely flat when he answered, "Of course. An Ohm general, and quite a large force to go with it, for one." He paused, then said, "A lot of trouble in general. There should be a proper report soon."
no subject
Right, the general. "We were fighting one too. One of my friends is even more injured."
He grumbled. "I thought we'd made a dent in the ground forces before we went up. No such luck."
no subject
Tim frowned, but didn't say anything right away. The fights on the ground had ended in more than just injuries. But he had no desire to get into that. "Everyone did what they could," he said instead, just a hint of warmth in the tone.
no subject
The darkness hanging over his head, of the one that he knew was not, still lingered. "We won't start until after the funeral. Some downtime to process it is needed."
no subject
"Of course," Tim agreed, voice a small amount quieter. "I have my own things to work on anyway, until then."
