Holes and Patches [OPEN FREE FOR ALL]
After the battle, the warriors' task was over. Their job, for now, was to rest and recover for the time being.
The healers' job, on the other hand, was far from over. Some exhausted from the battle, others rotating in, they took to their bay and continued the process of treating the wounded. Some patients were free to leave in a few minutes, while others would have some time (or quite some time) on the cots. Their mission: relax. Stay as still as possible.
Unfortunately, the temptation of so many familiar faces alive and about would ultimately prove to be too great. Keeping track of this group was going to be a third task all its own.
[this is a free for all for all your injured! Have them socialize, be thorns in the medics' side, try to escape, or bring the medics together for some action. Just note in your post if you'd like a medic to visit your character---if not, it's time for a chat!]

"Well... I just got here, but as far as I know, almost all of the crew got back here in one piece." With one exception, of course. "Kind of tough right now to track down individual people, though, with everyone running around."
no subject
"I don't know if they know, but it sure i-is effective..." She had already gotten one and it wasn't pleasant.
no subject
"So how long are they going to keep you here for? Do you need anything?"
no subject
At the latter question she shrugged, "No idea, but I don't intend on occupying this bed for long that's for sure."
She shook her head and smiled, "N-not really... m-maybe something to drink?" Truth be told, she was famished.

He nodded, disappearing into the crowd and returning in a moment with a glass of water. "So, do they feed you down here?"
no subject
Once he returned she smiled timidly and nodded in appreciation. "Thanks!" It only took but a second for her to down the entire thing, obviously having been in need of it. "N-not really," She pointed at the iv besides her and shrugged, "I guess things are really busy and that should do..." But they don't know the importance of drinks and food to this girl!

He raised an eyebrow at the speed with which she downed the glass. "And if they set you up with an IV, I guess they're planning to keep you here for a while. How did you end up injured, anyway?"
no subject
She cold start with the ones that didn't matter...
A small sigh before starting, the young half orc girl relaxed against her bed and looked away a bit embarrassed. "I'm a frontline fighter. Always have been. Not only that, but I specialize in protecting and heavy assault... so I didn't have much to worry about in the battlefield. I'm resilient and can take a heavy beating even from much more massive enemies so I took a lot of damage from swarmfighting and the long range acid from the grenadiers and bombardiers, splash damage from the firebugs... Nothing that won't heal fast of course..."
no subject
Pretty much steamrolling over them, in fact.
"I'd say we were pretty lucky to get away with only one loss. And there's the new Ohm types, too..."
no subject
"Y-yeah... I jus'... it's what I'm used to... I... I would have been more than fine if I hadn't gotten careless at the end..."
no subject
He didn't like seeing people blaming themselves like that, though he'd be the first to admit he did it himself.

Then he stood, brushing himself off. "And speaking of which, I should probably stop bothering you and get back to visiting with them. It was nice speaking with you again, though."
