Lirath - Ship Survival

As the battle raged outside, those remaining aboard Stacy had their hands full preparing for the incoming flood of refugees.

Positioned near the Bleed-Gate orbiting Lirath, Stacy stood ready to receive the refugees. Ship after ship ascended as quickly as they could, some of them making a break for the Bleed-Gate itself while the smaller ships were forced to dock at Stacy, unloading their cargo of refugees before setting off again for the planet's surface again to take on more passengers.

Several small units of GIA soldiers were also sent up to help the Transmigration crew take in the massive amount of refugees, many of whom were tired, wounded, and scared. It wouldn't take long for the ship to begin filling with people.

With the battle raging outside, and the Ohm clambering outside, trying to get in, it would be a tall order to keep all of the refugees safe and calm, but the crew didn't have much choice.

An insectoid fist collided with one of the Castrophists faces as Heracross launched a Focus Punch. Those of Ash's team who knew Quick Attack or similar moves were using them to strike at some the terrorists before they could make their attacks.

One of the armored Catastrophists took the punch straight to the face, somehow ignoring the pain and managed to stay standing. With a wild howl, the cultist raised his gun, bringing it down to slam the butt of the rifle down on Heracross' head.

The other pokemon managed to subdue a couple of the cultists, but those that were still conscious moved away, instead trying to focus on more vulnerable targets among the refugees.

Striking with a gun wasn't every effective. Ash's Pokemon took worse hits during training, and Heracross's skin was basically made of armor. The only obvious thing he'd done was make the bug-type angry.

"Heracross! Hit him with Megahorn!" Ash called, and Heracross rocketed into the terrorists gut with a glowing horn.

Even wounded as he was, the cultist didn't even flinch as Heracross' horn impacted his torso, instead grabbing tight hold of the bug while he grabbed a grenade at his belt.

The cultist popped the pin, intending to take the pokemon down with him in the grenade's blast unless something was done first.

I wouldn' do 'at, mate.

Jono had been helping with getting people off the ships and keeping them calm. Telepaths were useful for that. Now, though, his attention was pulled here. In fact, I'd be keepin' me hand tight 'round that. There was steel behind the command, taking hold of the man's mind to shove the suggestion in.

At Jono's psychic suggestion, the cultist's muscles seemed to go lax, and he was shoved off of Heracross from the pokemon's current momentum.

The cultist went flying, hitting a nearby wall. He looked down at the grenade clutched in his hand, and began laughing like a madman. Moments later, there was nothing left of the man as he was vaporized by the blast.

Ash had momentarily panicked when Heracross looked like he was about to be killed, and a soft blue glow slowly started to surround him, cutting off as relief filled the teenager the bug-type was rescued.

"Heracross? You alright?" The Pokemon responded with a thumbs up.

"Thanks..I just wish the guy had'nt had to..." Ash trailed off.

Aye. Jono squinted toward where the guy had been only moments before. Shouldn't've 'appened 'at way, though.

Where one guy like that was, there were bound to be others. Jono rolled his shoulders and glanced at the teen. Watch me back, please. Because he'd have warning, but not much ability to do anything about it as he opened his mind to see if he could find others.

There were a number of them, actually.

Every Catastrophist mind Jono could sense was rife with intense psycho-conditioning, their minds filled with twisted thought processes and subconscious suggestions. It was surprising how any of them could even process with how ravaged each of their minds were.

They weren't just madmen. They were designed to be madmen.

Jono staggered under the weight of the information, reaching for his comm ring to pass the information along (http://trans-channel.livejournal.com/377908.html). Bloody feckin' hell. Let's try not t' do 'at one again.

But he was going to have to. There were others out there that he could find and identify easier than most could.
