Enchanted Aquatica---the Prom [WIDE OPEN Y'ALL]

The day had finally arrived for her big event, and Starfire couldn't be happier---or more nervous, actually. She was certainly not an expert on the inner workings of a prom, but it couldn't be too terribly complicated, right? As long as the people could eat, dance, and talk, it should be a reasonable success.

With that in mind, her decorations sprung from her mind into the large dome all around her, transforming a grey Sensorium into a beautiful underwater world, one with clear waters and free from the possibility of a shark attack.

The first change was the scent of the air, shifting into the comforting salty scent of the seas. Then the ground beneath her feet became a hardened sandstone, maintaining the gritty texture while remaining easy to walk upon---except for the smooth dance floor, of course. The grey dome transformed into a flowing bluish-green, rippling all around with fish of all colors passing in the background. Some of the 'sky' faded into a violet tone over the dance floor, lit by glowing circular lights in every color. Suspended in midair, they almost looked like motionless fireflies, though they sometimes swayed in tune with songs.

Tables arose from coral in all colors, rising from the ground and twisting to provide a flattened surface on the very top---rounded ones for guests, and long tables off to the side containing shell-bowls of food. Chairs were large floating clam shells with well cushioned interiors, some large enough to hold two people. More comfortable spongy places to sit were also littered across the area, notably by the large shell-shaped enclosure that was the promised swimming pool. It too was lit by the floating lights, providing what she hoped was a romantic atmosphere.

Finally, the glowing stage above the dance floor couldn't help but attract attention with its chairs. Six royal thrones and one plush chair of all colors directly in the middle rested in the back of the stage, leaving the front open for announcements. Just off to the side of the stage stood the DJ's table, with even that machine painted to match the soft underwater glow of the scenery.

Everything finally seemed pleasing to Starfire. With one last change, dressing herself in the formal attire of the prom, she sent out the signal to everyone and waited. She hoped they would have a wonderful time.

Anyway, it'd probably be safest to invite her and Nokosi here with us.

I suppose. But I would never do something like that to her, I would think she'd know that. It'd be as likely as her and Nokosi getting involved romantically with each other.

Besides, Billy was the one who believed in monogamy and raised that way, and Ronnae was not. So how had this come to pass?

Definitely. I love you, Kaya, but we're not loving each other that way, he teased gently, paddling closer to the surface. It shouldn't be too hard to call out for them, right? There was just the little problem of being visible...he didn't exactly want to get out and look for them.

All right. Now we just have to draw attention---do you have any waterbending tricks that could catch their eyes from here?

Are you kidding? Besides Negi, you are the closest people I have to brothers!

At his question, she scoffed, and raised her hands, a moment later the water took on the appearance of a sort of water octopus, and made sure it was frantically waving in the direction of their dates.

Ronnae looked at the pool for a moment, and had to do a double take at the sight. She hadn't heard any alarms, or people yelling for help... So maybe the flailing octopus was one of the planned events? Either way, she had very sneakily had her fill of the foods around there by using subterfuge and eating when no one was watching.

So she found herself making her way to the pool side, hiking her dress slightly so she didn't end up tripping. Once there, she looked at the people surrounding it and smiled when she noticed Kaya and Billy. Lifting her dress slightly, she dipped her feet in the water and sat at the edge of the pool greeting them with a small wave.

Kaya smiled a little to herself. Despite how bothered she was by this new bit of information regarding Ronnae, she nonetheless wanted to make sure that Ronnae did not know she had been told this.

"Hello Ronnae!" Kaya said excitedly. "Did you want to come in here and join us? The water is fine, and you get the chance to become a mermaid!"

"Hey!" Billy greeted her too, keeping low before making his appearance. He waited a few beats before poking his tail out of the water, waving the end back and forth.

"It's temporary...we think, we're fairly certain. Nothing in here can be permanent. There's a lot to see under the surface!"

Ronnae giggled at the appendages and smiled, yet shook her head. "I really shouldn't. I don't want to get the dress wet, but it looks like you guys are having a blast~" She looks around the area and giggled, "Well, everyone seems to be."

She tilted her head slightly and blushed slightly, "This is pretty neat regardless. I think I should thank Starfire after the party's over."

"We just wanted to see if you wanted to give this a try," Kaya said, playfully sending a bit of water toward Ronnae, then turned it into steam at the last minute. "Guess you're really that hot today, Ronnae."

It was corny, she knew that, but better that than them treating each other all awkward like.

Billy laughed too, though he looked just a little embarrassed by his thoughts. She was hot, Kaya was right---if only he could do that! But he could make another suggestion.

"We're not getting our clothes wet," he supplied helpfully, pointing to Kaya's dress and his suit folded safely atop one of the chairs. "You could...transform it into something more swim-appropriate for a little while."

Her face went incredibly red at the corny compliment, so much so that the blush reached her long ears rather quickly making her look down a bit embarrassed, moving her legs back and forth lightly in the cool water.

"T-there's s-so many people here t-tho...I..." She paused for a moment and frowned slightly. This was supposed to be enjoyable and here she was being selfish again, letting her own fears and desires be the usual driving force.

She let out a small sigh and pressed her fingers together, "I mean, if... if y-you guys w-want me to... I... I can do it." she added in a small voice. Soon enough, the beautiful dress changed, giving her tight bindings around her chest and then after, covering her body in a sort of full body wet suit... which in turn made be a bit frustrated, she didn't seem to have control of her emotions today and that included her doubts.

Biting her lower lip, she concentrated again and managed to change it into a once piece swimsuit instead with short swim trunks. She figured this would be acceptable and bounced a little into the water, not making eye contact. It seemed at first as if nothing happened as far as transformations.

"It's the Sensoriums, you change to whatever you want!" Kaya said, although she hadn't been too shy abut being in her bindings: it was only foe a short time anyway. However, even her dress was still tucked away safely on the shore.

She swam over to Ronnae as she changed into the suit, knowing full well that Ronnae wasn't going to have them for much longer. "See, that wasn't so bad!" She said. "Besides, I'll be honest: its pretty refreshing in here!"

Billy politely averted his eyes as she changed. It might've been somewhat silly, but he'd do anything to make her feel comfortable. When he heard the splash of her entrance, he flashed a wide smile and took one of her hands.

"It is, and we can breathe underwater. So there will be plenty of time to escape."

It was around then when he got a look at Ronnae's...legs. Huh. That was unusual.

"Don't worry, I'm sure it can work another way."

Ronnae still looked a little apprehensive, but she pushed her worries aside for now as a small smile spread on her lips. Soon enough however, the transformation began, it had seemed to just be a delayed reaction.

However, instead of a fish tail, her lower body transformed to that of a female naga's (http://fc06.deviantart.net/fs48/i/2010/011/d/4/The_Siren_by_amex91.jpg) tail and fins. Which was more appropriate considering the race from her world was aquatic.

She blushed slightly as she swished her tail back and forth, looking down at the colorful and smooth scales that usually adorned the sea witches of Azeroth.

"That's so cool!" Kaya burst out, grinning. "I guess its different because you're not human, I wonder if Starfire actually went and planned it out that way? But who cares, its still neat!"

She couldn't help staring. "What's it feel like?"

"It's beautiful," Billy agreed, staring in awe at the long tail. It could easily be used for some fun, right?

He propelled himself closer, twisting around once or twice in the waters. "Come on, let's look at the treasures below. It's...more private down there," he winked.

A darker blush rose on Ronnie's cheeks before she nodded with a small smile.

"T-thanks, and s-sure, I'd love to see what's under the water. If it's anything like the rest of the decor, it'd be very beautiful."

She let her long tail swish back and forth a few more times before letting it propel her forward, swimming besides her friends.

Kaya was more than happy to help lead the way here. This was, actually, quite a strange day: more than a fair share of strange things had already happened at this prom, and she bet it was only going to get stranger from here. Nonetheless, at least now this was the highlight of the day.

They reached the bottom, and Kaya handed Ronnae a fairly pretty, black speckled conch. "It's nice, huh?"

Billy nodded absently. It was a nice conch, but his attention really wasn't focusing on something so small. He instead fixated on Ronnae and how beautiful she looked here---lit by the glowing underwater lights with her hair flowing in all directions. It was almost as if she was at home.

Pushing the urge to tackle her in the back of his mind, he plucked one of the undersea flowers. Starfire must have been watching certain cartoons when she designed things, huh?

Twirling the white flower in his hand, he lifted it to Ronnae's hair and attached it. That's better, he thought over the comm ring to both of them. The flower's even nicer-looking when it's highlighted by you. Consider this my apology for forgetting the corsage.

Ronnae took the conch and smiled, nodding at Kaya. Her eyes shifting between gazing at her surroundings and her friends. This was really a nice touch, Star had gone to great lengths to make this an unforgettable night for everyone.

It was then that she felt the flower being placed on her hair and the words Billy spoke. The blush she had recently gotten over returned just as quickly and bright. She bit her lower lip timidly and moved over to hug Billy as tightly as she could without hurting him, pressing her lips onto his in a gentle, chaste kiss.

Oh good, Billy was showing exactly how romantic he could be. She was happy enough with that she tossed that moment of tacking Ronnae that flashed in his mind out the window. After all, he was in love, they were together that way a lot, probably.

And what he was doing right now was very romantic, and she smiled, looking at the two of them a moment. The crowning of king and queen was going to be happening soon, and she had no doubt where that prize would go.

Billy held the kiss for a shorter time than he usually did, but made sure to enjoy the moment. Suspended in the water in her arms...well, that did it. This was happiness.

When they broke apart, he smiled awkwardly at Kaya. ...ah, I'm sorry about that. You're right, it is beautiful here.

He swam over and squeezed Kaya's hand in thanks, looking all around. ...well, the sebum on our skin's washing away. We'd better make the most of this before we resemble prunes!

Ronnae smiled back and took the moment where Billy was with Kaya to go and explore quickly. Using her powerful tail, she swiftly moved through the water, taking in all the sights she could while enjoying the rush of the strong appendage.

Kaya had no choice but to stare at Billy a moment. Seb-what now? She shrugged and followed suit with Ronnae. It was a little harder to keep up, and her form was somehow more adaptable than her mermaid tail, but she kept a steady pace.

With the girls speeding ahead, Billy put on a burst of speed to trail behind them. Great, they could both swim circles around him. It had to be a trap.

Sebum. It's the oil on the skin that prevents it from absorbing water, he explained for both of them. When it washes off, the skin starts absorbing water and wrinkling.
