Enchanted Aquatica---the Prom [WIDE OPEN Y'ALL]
The day had finally arrived for her big event, and Starfire couldn't be happier---or more nervous, actually. She was certainly not an expert on the inner workings of a prom, but it couldn't be too terribly complicated, right? As long as the people could eat, dance, and talk, it should be a reasonable success.
With that in mind, her decorations sprung from her mind into the large dome all around her, transforming a grey Sensorium into a beautiful underwater world, one with clear waters and free from the possibility of a shark attack.
The first change was the scent of the air, shifting into the comforting salty scent of the seas. Then the ground beneath her feet became a hardened sandstone, maintaining the gritty texture while remaining easy to walk upon---except for the smooth dance floor, of course. The grey dome transformed into a flowing bluish-green, rippling all around with fish of all colors passing in the background. Some of the 'sky' faded into a violet tone over the dance floor, lit by glowing circular lights in every color. Suspended in midair, they almost looked like motionless fireflies, though they sometimes swayed in tune with songs.
Tables arose from coral in all colors, rising from the ground and twisting to provide a flattened surface on the very top---rounded ones for guests, and long tables off to the side containing shell-bowls of food. Chairs were large floating clam shells with well cushioned interiors, some large enough to hold two people. More comfortable spongy places to sit were also littered across the area, notably by the large shell-shaped enclosure that was the promised swimming pool. It too was lit by the floating lights, providing what she hoped was a romantic atmosphere.
Finally, the glowing stage above the dance floor couldn't help but attract attention with its chairs. Six royal thrones and one plush chair of all colors directly in the middle rested in the back of the stage, leaving the front open for announcements. Just off to the side of the stage stood the DJ's table, with even that machine painted to match the soft underwater glow of the scenery.
Everything finally seemed pleasing to Starfire. With one last change, dressing herself in the formal attire of the prom, she sent out the signal to everyone and waited. She hoped they would have a wonderful time.

TABLES
Re: TABLES
At the very least it should give him a chance to make fun of some people's outfits.

"I was wondering when you'd show up."
Re: TABLES
He raises an eyebrow at the coat, though. "What, no Nuon hat?"
Re: TABLES
Alan, from his perch aboard Zouichi's shoulder, is giving Howard a look. It's a look that says I'm watching you.

Re: TABLES
Never the less it wasn't a terrible scene to watch. But if something didn't happen soon she'd probably leave.

She noticed a girl she hadn't seen before and gave her a timid smile and a wave, figuring she must have been from the recent podpop.

Why did she bother showing up, again? Oh, yes. To satisfy some silly idea that she needed to get out and try to get some sort of social involvement going. Never mind that most of the people here were less than twenty-something teenagers who probably would have been doing something like this, had their planet not exploded (imploded? Dissolved? Disintegrated? She wasn't exactly sure).
Even if the food was something extraordinarily amazing, she still needed to piggyback on one of the snacker's sensorium to taste the (presumably) fantastic food. So really, all she was getting for her effort was a brobdingnagian-sized migraine.
It was pretty obvious, too. Her eyebrows were furrowed, cheeks flushed and she couldn't, for the life of her, keep herself from fidgeting every few seconds. She swiped a napkin over her face to remove the beads of sweat that had decided to make her life even harder.
At least she could say she tried.

She herself was clad in a traditional dress robe from the fire nation, savoring the feel of fine silk against her skin.

She dropped her hands to her lap and turned to face the fire princess. "Oh, I wouldn't say nervous (per se). It's more that I'm currently attempting to function like a normal person with the cacophonous roar of a New York, New Years celebration jammed into the (teeny, tiny) space that makes up my cognisphere."
Mindf**k tried to smile, but even that came off as strained. "This type of ah, 'shindig' isn't somewhere I expected to see you, of all people."

True enough, she felt a pat on her shoulder as said familiar face showed up and around her to face her. "Now here's a face I wasn't expectin' ta see on this shindig. Tho, really, ya shouldn' stress yourself like that. Ya coulda called me so I could help ya sum."
He smiled, "Regardless, it's nice seein' ya." He had brought over two of the drinks and offered her one. Already aware that he had given her permission to jump his taste buds whenever she wanted.

Mindf**k motioned to herself with a hand. "This is the (horrible, terrible) product of such thoughts."

"If there's any help to be had by hiding out up here," Maridian said, tapping his head with his knuckles gently, "you can go for it, you know!"
He hadn't gone very thematic in his dress, just formal. For the first time since he'd gotten it back, the paladin was out of his armor in public. Instead, he wore magnificent crimson-and-gold robes, tight around the torso to show off the musculature his armor normally covered, then loose and flowing around the legs and arms. Though he didn't advertise the fact that he was of noble birth as a general rule, the outfit betrayed it.

"I might have to take that offer, Mr. Do-good," she thought, then followed it up with a weak smile.
Now that she had said her part, she took a moment to look him over in the low-lit room. Saying that he was 'dressed to the nines' would be a gross understatement; he'd certainly destroyed anyone's hope that they would be the best dressed at this shindig.
"My, my. Someone is wearing his Sunday's best. I'm not sure which version I prefer, though I'm the longer I look, the more I'm becoming partial to it (interestingly enough, that last, little tidbit would have usually been an unintended thought)."
She, herself was wearing a white, above-knee cocktail dress with a black belt wrapped around her waist.

/table of drunken adults
Now that she was older - the whole thing stunk of naive idealism and the giddy happiness of youth, which a small, bitter part of her hated. That they could be so happy. But... that's what she fought for. For a place where people could be naive and idealistic and happy and all of those things. So she wouldn't begrudge them this.
And, well, she was never going to pass up a chance for a good time and a bit of drinking. She'd 'liberated' two bottles of wine - jugs, really - from the tavern, with a number of promises that she'd bring the jugs back. The glasses might have been figments of her imagination given form, but at least the booze was real. She had even dressed up - easy when you didn't actually have to go shopping, really. The dress's plunging neckline served to show off some of her best assets, and it flared off after the gathered waist, trailing down to floor length. Good for dancing in, should she decide to do so.
Re: /table of drunken adults
