Post Mission Party At The Bar
Its time to unwind, relax and receive news of home. A pod pop occurred while some were on a mission and it's time to meet up with new friends, drink well with old, and relax. The Drunken Dragon has opened its doors and stands ready and willing to assist in forgetting the trials those on the mission experienced.
OOC: If you want a specific barmaid, just put their name in the subject. Otherwise, enjoy, intermingle and do as you like.

Eva... she should talk to Eva. Eva was Kang's friend and apparently knew Kali's secret, so surely the older woman could help her get a better grip on the situation.
She accepted Kali's grip for a moment, but then pulled away. It was comforting, but it also dulled her mind and caused her to want to let everything go. She wasn't ready for that yet. "I think that I would have liked your cousin as well. I know that I was very fond of who I believed you were. I thought that we were friends or at least I wanted to think that, but friendship asks for a certain amount of trust." Cassie told her slowly, closing her eyes. "I understand why you did what you did, but it doesn't really change what happened, does it? Even now, it wasn't you who told me the truth, but your father who, until a moment ago I thought was your uncle, who told me the truth. You're right that such information should have come from you and not your father. Not because it was rude though. This is a trust issue. At least for me."
She frowned. "Trust is not a one way road, Kali. You tell me that you'll tell the truth now, but you led me to believe that what you told me before was the truth and it wasn't. There is more often then not a good reason to withhold the truth, so how can I trust that the next time a good reason pops up that you won't do the same?" She hated to say it, but it needed to be said. "Tell me something. What happens if something else occurs and there is another good reason for you to lie, but this time it puts me and my friends in danger, would you hesitate to use me the same way as you did this time? I trusted you with personal information that could be used against me and my friends. How do I know that it won't be?" She shook her head. "I won't deny that I'm hurt, but I do want you to know that I'm not truly angry at you nor your father. You did what you believed was right and I can't be angry at you for that, but I must do the same." And right now she didn't consider trusting someone who had already betrayed that trust once to be the right choice.
Turning her attention to Kang, she nodded gratefully, taking his warning to heart. "I'll admit that I don't know exactly what passed between Kali and Marco, so I really can't speak to it. I'm sorry if he upset her."
She turned her attention back to Kali in that moment. "I am sorry for what happened, Kali, but... at the time he thought you were a threat. Experience has taught all of us that anyone can be an enemy, even a child." Silence fell as some old memories caught up with her. "Even someone that you love and trust." Cassie shook her head in an attempt to clear her mind. "You did what you believed was right and I assume that he did so too, just as I did what I believed was right. In the end, I suspect that none of us made the right choices. I know that he wasn't happy when you left though. I think that he regretted his words."
Cassie turned back to Kang. "You say that you have your own reasons for not trusting and I don't doubt that. Everyone has their own secrets. So, then if I had lied to you while you shared personal information about yourself with me, would you find it easy to trust me now?"
She sighed and continued. "I'm sorry if I have offended you. I only hope that you can see things from my point of view as well. I just want to keep my friends safe. Trust is too valuable to be easily flung around."

Her stance straightened as Cassie pulled away, and the look on her face one Kang might recognize from his mate when she had reached the end of her patience. "I told you but a single lie, I avoided extending the lie. I told you it for a very short time and found my father only an hour ago, when, exactly, should I have sought you out to rectify the information? I have apologized twice for a minor infraction, and gave you my reasons. An apology is something not easily tendered, nor should it be so quickly rejected. I did not compel you to speak, nor force you to seek out my trust, that was your own doing and your own infraction, should you now find need to reconsider those actions. I refuse to be blamed, I avoided speaking when I could not avoid lying. You spoke like the breeze, as though all who might be listening might be friend. And yet I did not spy, nor bring any ill-will to your household, and when threatened I left as peacefully as possible. You speak of misunderstandings and forgiveness for Marco, while in the same breathe you scold me for my own distrust of the situation. You are either ignorant or needlessly biased, and I think the later holds more truth. You speak as though I should feel guilt for my caution, and yet I see now that you have all the wisdom and forethought of a Kender, for all your kindness to me. You forgive Marco easily, and I see that as a whole, humanity regards the ignorance and fear of youth when thrust into a strange and new situation as something to be derided, but their own paranoia as needed and right. He thought I a threat?" She nodded, making a low hissing sound that was not nearly sweet enough to be laughter. "Ask Eva what a bronze dragon might do to a Draconian child alone, should you decide to repair your ignorance with knowledge, and then tell me I simply misunderstood the actions of your friend. Now please go, I bear no ill will against you, and I ask you to go with much greater kindness than I was ejected from your own hospitality and to much friendly skies than I was cast from the one place I had been informed I might find safety."

His own expression was very impressed, proud, and showed that he was in complete agreement.

"I'm sorry, Kali," she whispered, her shame plain on her face. "I shouldn't be so hard on you. I'll understand though if you can't forgive my actions. I have been cruel. I didn't mean to be, but I was and there is no excuse for my words or actions."
Turning to Kang, she added, "And to you as well, sir. I have made a poor first impression and I only hope that I will be able to make up for it in the future."
"I'll... I'll leave you two alone," she said, lowering her eyes, stepping away as she prepared to leave the father and daughter to their reunion.
(OOC: Is this better? I can rewrite it again if it's bad. I don't mind at all.)
