Days, Nights, and Everything in Between [Multiple Character - Open]
The City was the area of the ship that was frequented the most. Not only did some of the crew members made their homes there. But a lot of the more pleasurable areas on the ship could be found there as well. It was mostly empty, a ghostly graveyard for many of the buildings from the many worlds that had gotten saved by you lovable ship, Stacy.
The sheer size of the City itself was impressive and yet it wasn't hard to run into someone exploring it, or bump into one of the occupied buildings... Three of it's denizens now found themselves going about their everyday lives on the ship that had become their current home.
[[OOC: Didn't want to clutter up the comm with three posts, but I really wanted to do all of them! So this is a general post and you can go ahead and tag whichever you want to, wherever you want to! There will be an individual tag for each one of them.]]

"I've never been to it myself, tho I did visit the building but I only went to the dance floor. My friend Nokosi spent some time with the owner, Splicer. he said it's a lot of fun, so I wanted to check it out. Said it has a lot of video games and such." she smiled once again, bowing her head slightly, "I'd be honored to have your company Daja."

Daja might have been on the ship for a while now, but she'd always gone to places like the media library for research, not to play around with the strange devices. Which did mean that she didn't have a clue about video games or anything like that at all.

"As for video games, they're pretty much like the movies you'd see in the media library, but instead of just watching, you control the character you choose. You go through a series of levels and defeat the obstacles in your way to get to your goal, be it rescuing the princess or defeating the bad guy or whatever else is in the story. Nokosi said they were loads of fun, and I remember Alex was very fond of them." Ronnae smiled, remembering her friend who had gotten podded not much long ago.

Daja listened, frowning slightly as she tried to picture what Ronnae described. "They are like moving pictures that you can control? How do you control them? It is magic?"
no subject
"Well he's not really the musician, more like he chooses the songs. Kind of like a very advanced and technological music box" she added.
"Well it's more mechanical that magic. It's programming, like the kind of code that makes the computers on the ship work. You issue a command through the controller and the character follows. There's all types from what I was told. From adventure games that follow a storyline, to racing simulation games where you can ride an assortment of vehicles."
no subject
"That sounds very complicated," she said. "Are they difficult to play?"
no subject
"Some are, some are really simple, like move your character through a maze and avoid getting hit~ It'll be fun."
no subject
"You'll have to show me some then, perhaps," she smiled.

"The arcade is on the third floor, the club in the first and the lounge on the second." she explained as they walked in.

"Yeah, it's quieter than this, mostly you'll hear the game's music, but not blaring like this." she pointed to the stairs and made her way up. On the way up she pointed at the much quieter lounge on the second floor with ambiance music and all the nice comfy couches and tables to relax or chat with friends.
Soon enough they reached the arcade, and the light sounds of the different games being on filled the room. It was subtle of course, compared to the blasting sounds of the club. The lights all over the dark room from the many games gave a cliched futuristic feel, specially with the neon decorations making it look like an 80's earth arcade with a futuristic twist.

"This is much better," she said approvingly.

She quickly made her way up to a simple looking one with a set of colorful ghosts and a very round creature running from them.
"This one looks fun." Looking at the screen she began reading the 'story' and the controls of the game. "Seems simple enough. Run through the maze collecting the small pellets while avoiding the ghosts."
She turned happily to look at Daja, "Go on, give it a go!" she said cheerfully.
no subject
This was all very confusing...
"How...exactly do I do that?" she said, uncertain.
no subject
"See that little yellow ball looking thing?" which looked nothing like the picture on the start screen! But hey, it didn't matter.
"See how it's moving through the maze on the screen? You use this stick here and you move it in the direction you want the little ball thing to move." she made a motion of moving the joystick to show the directions and such.
"And to start the game, since this is only the demonstration screen, just hit the button with the little man on it." she pointed at the start button.
no subject
Aimlessly, she made the yellow ball move around the maze, with no particular goal in mind. "And I'm supposed to avoid ghosts? They certainly don't sound very nice. But how do I know where the ghosts are? Wouldn't they be invisible?"
no subject
"Well they don't seem invisible. They're all colorful which is cute~ But yeah, you have ta avoid the ghosts and eat all those smaller pellets on the map. There's those big glowy ones too!" even though she didn't know what they did.
no subject
"Oh!" Daja said, blinking as the screen flashed. "What happened?"
no subject
"If they touch you, the little ball implodes. I guess it's to signify that they ate him. Those there are how many tries you have until you have to restart the game." she pointed at the extra lives. "That's your score," she pointed at the numbers on the top, "And that's the ghosts." she points at the little colorful sprites.
no subject
Picking up the joystick again, Daja attempted to once again run the maze. This time she did a little better, managing to at least pick up a few pellets before once again a ghost caught the yellow ball.

"Apparently that one gives him the power to eat the ghosts temporarily."
