Days, Nights, and Everything in Between [Multiple Character - Open]

The City was the area of the ship that was frequented the most. Not only did some of the crew members made their homes there. But a lot of the more pleasurable areas on the ship could be found there as well. It was mostly empty, a ghostly graveyard for many of the buildings from the many worlds that had gotten saved by you lovable ship, Stacy.

The sheer size of the City itself was impressive and yet it wasn't hard to run into someone exploring it, or bump into one of the occupied buildings... Three of it's denizens now found themselves going about their everyday lives on the ship that had become their current home.

[[OOC: Didn't want to clutter up the comm with three posts, but I really wanted to do all of them! So this is a general post and you can go ahead and tag whichever you want to, wherever you want to! There will be an individual tag for each one of them.]]

"It can't be that complicated just to pick a song," Daja remarked, shaking her head a little.

"You'll have to show me some then, perhaps," she smiled.

"Lead the way then," Daja said, gripping her staff and setting off in the direction Ronnae had pointed.

Daja winched at the music - that sounded awful! - and held up a hand to cover her ear. "It's very...loud," she said. "Is the arcade quieter?"
fireforger: (Satisfied)

"I'll take your word for it," Daja said dryly, before following Ronnae up the stairs. She certainly preferred the more quiet arcade! She looked around curiously, finding the lights and decorations and strange machines all very odd and unusual.

"This is much better," she said approvingly.

"Run through the maze?" Daja said, bemused. How could she do that? There was no maze here, and certainly not enough room for running. And ghosts? Pellets?

This was all very confusing...

"How...exactly do I do that?" she said, uncertain.

Daja looked down at the joystick with a frown, hitting the button as she instruction. She looked up to see that the screen had chanced - so she was meant to move the joystick, was she? Tentatively, she moved the stick to one side. "Oh!" she said, as the yellow ball moved as well. Even though Ronnae had already told her what to expect, it was strange to think that this device could affect what happened on that larger screen!

Aimlessly, she made the yellow ball move around the maze, with no particular goal in mind. "And I'm supposed to avoid ghosts? They certainly don't sound very nice. But how do I know where the ghosts are? Wouldn't they be invisible?"

"Pellets? Those things there?" Daja said, spotting one of them nearby. She moved the yellow ball towards it, but she since she hadn't really grapsed that those brightly coloured sprites were ghosts (surely real ghosts would look much more terrifying!), she wasn't really paying attention to the one that got her right after she reached the pellet.

"Oh!" Daja said, blinking as the screen flashed. "What happened?"
fireforger: (Curious 1)

[personal profile] fireforger 2011-07-26 11:18 pm (UTC)(link)
"Oh, I see," Daja said, trying to remember all of this information. "But those ghosts don't look very much like ghosts. Is that what ghosts are like in other worlds? All bright and colourful?"

Picking up the joystick again, Daja attempted to once again run the maze. This time she did a little better, managing to at least pick up a few pellets before once again a ghost caught the yellow ball.

Daja frowned. "The yellow ball is stealing from the dead?" she said, concerned. She didn't particularly like the idea of that. The dead should be respected, not stolen from.
fireforger: (Shocked)

"He eats the ghosts?!" Daja repeated, horrified. "Is this 'Pac-Man' some kind of demon?"
fireforger: (Listening)

"Perhaps another one might be better," Daja said, stepping away from the game. So far, she wasn't entirely sure she liked these. This was certainly was just too strange and bizarre.
fireforger: (Neutral 1)

"These games seem to involve a lot of antagonism," Daja remarked. "Although I don't see how this could allow me to fight monsters. Wouldn't the machine be damaged, if I were to hit it with my staff?"

She peered at the pictures, still frowning.
fireforger: (Pensive)

"So you just tell others to fight?" Daja said, peering at the screen. She looked back at Ronnae and smiled sheepishly.

"Perhaps it would be best if I watched you first," she admitted.
