Down on the city level, right by the Kohaku River and near the imposing castle, a modern-looking white building welcomed one and all to its promise of running water and warmth. Maybe even a little socializing was in order.

The ramp led up to the heated roof level, where one and all could sit down and relax in an almost sauna-like environment. Below, corridors contained plenty of towels, places to leave clothes, quick showers, and the baths, a number of them sized for any and all comers.

The private areas were accessed through separate corridors on the outside, but the busier communal baths were just as warm and welcoming. Anyone of any size or species was welcome here, so long as they behaved themselves.

[ooc: it's mingling party post time! Just start a thread or hop in one, and note if your character's in a single sex bath, co-ed, or the sauna level upstairs. My characters will be here to meet some people too.]

The changes were subtle, but if she was paying attention, she'd notice the slight narrowing of his eyes, and the harder set of his jaw.

"We've met." There was even a bit of ice that managed to creep in to his monotone.

While she hadn't been paying much attention to Setsuna's face, she wanted to see his reaction, and... yeah. She kinda figured as much. "Don't get along too well, huh?"

That would be an understatement, what with their simulated death match.

"No." He paused for a moment. "Do you and him?"

She nodded. "Yeah. I mean... we have our differences, and some of things he does can be frustrating... but then, I'm probably just as frustrating for him."

Cagalli wasn't quite sure how to ask about the nature of their disagreement though.

Setsuna wasn't going to volunteer information about that. He seemed to be more interested in gathering knowledge.

"Frustrating how?"

"Tch. None of your business." There's only so far she's going to talk about her relationship with Kira with someone who obviously dislikes him, and probably isn't a fan of her either.

There was a silent look for a moment, but he seemed to let things drop after that. He wouldn't bother pushing that particular point.

She gives him a similar look back. "I'm not gonna assume that I'm gonna hate you just because you don't get along with Kira though." No, if she dislikes him, she'll have her own damned reasons for it.

"That would be as senseless as hating you because you're related to him." It was, honestly, a stupid reason to intensely dislike someone. But wait until he lays eyes on her mobile suit, though.

"Most people are like that, though. It's frustrating but true."

"I'm not 'most people.'" In sooooo many ways.

"For better or worse," she adds.

"Neither," he corrected. "Just different." But veeeeeeeery different.

"Just different, huh?" She could respect that, anyways. Even if she doesn't really like his kind of 'different' much.

"Not everything has to be placed in terms of superior and inferior." That seemed to be the most common mistake people made.

"That does... lead to a lot of conflict, doesn't it?"

He made a small noise of agreement.

"Most of which are unnecessary."

"Most conflicts are... regardless of the cause." For all she knows, this one is too.

And that's the lesson Celestial Being tries to teach everyone. By punching them in the head until they get it. Yes, using violence to show that violence is unnecessary. It's completely illogical, but somehow works in spite of that.

"But they still happen. Its what people choose to do about them that makes all the difference."

"Change has to happen slowly, though." Her idea of fast change is 'Gilbert Durandal' and that was one of the worst plans she's seen in pretty much her whole life.

"Does it?" He could be patient, but he was more concerned with making progress happen, rather than making it happen at a certain speed. He wasn't opposed to upending everything if it got him to his goals faster.

Silliness.

It's a difficult balance to strike, in her mind. "Not... too slowly or then you're holding off on important change just to make idiots feel better, but it's also not going to happen in a day."

"Not in a day, perhaps, but I see little point in wasting time about it." Change never went smoothly, and sometimes people needed to have their world shaken up in order to better take a look around it.
