Welcome to Clean Street [Open!]

Down on the city level, right by the Kohaku River and near the imposing castle, a modern-looking white building welcomed one and all to its promise of running water and warmth. Maybe even a little socializing was in order.

The ramp led up to the heated roof level, where one and all could sit down and relax in an almost sauna-like environment. Below, corridors contained plenty of towels, places to leave clothes, quick showers, and the baths, a number of them sized for any and all comers.

The private areas were accessed through separate corridors on the outside, but the busier communal baths were just as warm and welcoming. Anyone of any size or species was welcome here, so long as they behaved themselves.

[ooc: it's mingling party post time! Just start a thread or hop in one, and note if your character's in a single sex bath, co-ed, or the sauna level upstairs. My characters will be here to meet some people too.]

"Take your time, it's not going anywhere, not if I can help it." He chuckled and nodded, leaving space for her to sit where she pleased.

"Of course, I'd love the company of a lovely lady as yourself."

"Then I will visit as soon as I can," Starfire smiled, slipping right into the bath. She hugged her arms around herself, smiling at the warmth of the water.

"Ah, how wonderful. It has been too long since I have exerted myself like that." She'd come from a rather intense session, actually.

"Training I take it?" He asked curiously, raising a brow to check if she was okay.

"Flying," Starfire clarified, reaching behind her to tie up her hair with one of the nearby scrunchies. "I sometimes fly when I need to feel calm and think. It has been of great assistance to me."

She relaxed her tired body further, an arm stretched against the side.

"Hm? Somethin' botherin' ya then Star? Ya know ya can talk to me whenever you wish it. I'd like to help ya in any way I can." He smiled at her a reassuring smirk still looking a bit concerned for her though.

"It is..." Starfire started, thinking on the boy she was attempting to like. Splicer seemed to like her too, though---she needed to be honest with him, but what could she do in this situation.

"I have never felt this uncertain about something," she admitted quietly. "I do not know if I can be a girl who is a friend."

Splicer blinked a few times at her, then smiled. A warm, caring smile, "That's all? Well, to be honest, that's a conundrum a pretty gal like you would have. I bet half the ship likes ya and would want to be more than just friend friends. In the end it's up to you to decide tho. Jus' make sure, that no matter what decision you come to, it's with your best interests in mind."

He lightly pulled her over for a comforting embrace, "The last thing you want to do is end up in a relationship where you constantly question whether you did the right thing or not. It might sound selfish, but really, if you can't feel comfortable in it in the first place, you'll jus' make each other feel miserable, when the point of it was to feel happy with each other, or others depending on your culture and beliefs."

"I do not think it is possible to ever be completely certain," Starfire whispered, comforted all the same. She didn't mind being held here, not at all.

"My trouble is that I do not want to sadden anyone." And she couldn't quite avoid that.

"You have to think about yourself first however beautiful. If you're upset, or sad to begin with, because you don't want to make anyone sad, whoever your partner is will be saddened by proxy because you're unhappy." He kept her close, a comforting gesture and he certainly looked concerned but kept his expression warm and caring with his usual smile.

"I know it's hard at times, but no matter your decision, those who care about you will stand by it."

That was something Starfire wasn't very used to. Living...for herself? She would never neglect the needs of others, but he was...she was doing a fine job of ignoring her own. When had she ever asked herself what would make her happy?

"Then I...I will always be your friend," she whispered, an air of finality to it.

He raised an eyebrow and smiled. "What? Where you planning on not talkin' to me again or somethin'" He teased her with his playful grin and a nice squeeze.

"Hey, long as you keep on smilin' like you usually do? I'm happy beautiful."

"Certainly not! You are too kind for me to allow that," Starfire insisted, leaning over to kiss his cheek.

"I am very glad that you are not angry."

Splicer smiled and returned the kiss, even if it was closer to the lips than hers probably was! "How could anyone be angry at you, really?" He laughed a bit, hugging her once more before loosening his grip.

"Ya feelin' better Star?"

"Very much," Starfire chimed in, laughing merrily with him. "I thank you.and wish for your happiness as well."

Want some happiness, Splicer? Well have some bubbles instead. She pushed the button, spilling some green ones into the tub.

He chuckled and smiled, "Oh? I get a bubble bath for being your friend? Well, I can get used to this very fast." he teased.

"It is a game," Starfire insisted, scooping up bubbles as quickly as they appeared. They were soon piled atop her head, a little laughter in her eyes.

She was quick to make a silly face.

He laughed, he could play that game too!

Picking up a bunch of bubbles, he quickly fashioned himself a nice 'mohawk' and a spiffy beard.

"I'm a rockstar gentleman now. Wish I had a monocle, that would be the perfect end to this ensemble!"
