Suddenly, Princess Celestia! [Open]

Celestia had lived a long life, but the past few days were the strangest she had ever experienced. She had awoken from a pod in a strange chamber, only to find herself whisked away to a strange maze soon after.

This maze had had her most concerned - as Princess of all Equestria, she had duties and responsibilities, after all. She could only hope that her sister Luna was managing on her own, and do her best to escape this maze and return to her beloved subjects.

Escape came unexpectedly though, when Celestia found herself suddenly dropped from the mess hall ceiling, where she landed on top of one of the tables with a thud, her hooves sending plates and trays and cutlery flying in all directions. Have a rather elegant pony - or perhaps a horse? - with a long horn on her forehead, graceful wings adorning her back, and a mane and tail that was a multicolour and gravity-defying sight standing on your table, diners, looking rather bewildered.

"Oh! I'm sorry. I hope I didn't ruin your meal," she said, with a chuckle. Then she looked around at her surroundings, her expression turning concerned. "Now this doesn't look at all like Equestria..."

"Yeah we're all over the ship but there's a lot of non-humans too, like Kang and others." said Negi, nodding.

He smiled at the last bit. "I knew it! You carry yourself like my mother, Queen Arika."

"What other kinds of creatures live here?" Celestia asked. After all, it was important to learn about the creatures one interacted with!

"Oh, you are a Prince?" Celestia said, smiling and lowering her head in a bow (but only a small bow - after all, it wouldn't do for a pony of her status to bow too low to another). "Of what land does your mother rule?"

He blushed awkwardly and bowed as well. "Yeah, I guess it makes me a prince then. My mother ruled, or at least used to rule over the floating islands of Ostia in the Magical World, before the war took place. It's a long story."

"It's sounds like a wonderful place," Celestia said, growing solemn. "I am sorry to hear that it was afflicted by war. You have my deepest sympathies, Prince Negi."

"I'm sorry as well, but there's no worry on my end. I grew up without my mother, and I hadn't learned of my status till a while ago. But I hope your lands can be safe once more, Princess Celestia."

All of those formal drills his mother had done for him came to the fore, and he was thankful for it.

"Oh, you poor thing. It must have been hard growing up without your mother," Celestia said. "But thank you for you well wishes, Prince Negi. I hope they will safe again once more as well."

"It was trying. For the longest time too, I only knew about my father," replied Negi, sighing. "But I suppose that's my life for you. All the best to you, Princess."

"But you managed to find your mother in time, yes?" Celestia asked, her tone encouraging. "I hope that your discovery was a happy one. Were you reunited?"
