Suddenly, Princess Celestia! [Open]
Celestia had lived a long life, but the past few days were the strangest she had ever experienced. She had awoken from a pod in a strange chamber, only to find herself whisked away to a strange maze soon after.
This maze had had her most concerned - as Princess of all Equestria, she had duties and responsibilities, after all. She could only hope that her sister Luna was managing on her own, and do her best to escape this maze and return to her beloved subjects.
Escape came unexpectedly though, when Celestia found herself suddenly dropped from the mess hall ceiling, where she landed on top of one of the tables with a thud, her hooves sending plates and trays and cutlery flying in all directions. Have a rather elegant pony - or perhaps a horse? - with a long horn on her forehead, graceful wings adorning her back, and a mane and tail that was a multicolour and gravity-defying sight standing on your table, diners, looking rather bewildered.
"Oh! I'm sorry. I hope I didn't ruin your meal," she said, with a chuckle. Then she looked around at her surroundings, her expression turning concerned. "Now this doesn't look at all like Equestria..."

Cassie smiled, taking another step towards the newcomer. "I'm glad that you're okay. I think I've heard of that maze or, at least, of the one who runs it. But apparently there is no cake. That seems to be generally agreed upon. At least you made it out though. I'm Cassie, by the way. What's your name?"

"Apparently, the one who runs the tests is called GLaDOS and she'll make us run those tests from time to time. One of my friends told me that the tests are supposed to keep us healthy, but there seems to be a bit of disagreement on that point." Cassie shrugged and smiled at Celestia. "I wish that I could tell you more, but I don't know much more then that. Are you sure that you're okay?"
no subject
Celestia trotted in a small half-circle around Cassie. Despite having been dropped onto a table, she did appear to be perfectly healthy and in good shape. "Yes, I'm as fit as a fiddle! But I thank you for your concern, it is most welcome.

Cassie's smile widened as she watched Celestia trot around her. It was nice to see that the pony was well. "Thank you, Celestia, for telling me and showing me. It makes me happy to know that you're healthy." Changing the topic, she asked, "So, where are you from?"

"What is it like there?" The question popped out of Cassie's mouth before she could stop it. She wondered wistfully about this place where wonderful ponies like Celestia lived.
"Earth," Cassie answered, a bit hesitantly. "I come from a planet called Earth."
no subject
Celestia grew solemn, thinking of her home. "It was a beautiful place," she said quietly. She turned to look at Cassie, putting on a small for her. "And what is Earth like?"
no subject
"Earth can be quite pretty too, even if living there can sometimes be rough. It can be a "tough neighborhood" as my friends often say," Cassie said with a weak smile as she let her mind drift back to picture it. "There are large oceans, gorgeous forests, and vast savannas. Some of the areas can be harder to live in like the deserts and the ice covered areas like the Arctic and Antarctic, but even they can be filled with life and beauty. And there are so many different animal species on the planet." Were they all gone now? Part of her entire motivation for fighting had been to preserve all those species. It was hard to think about it all being gone.
Time for a subject change perhaps? "So, is there anything else that you'd like to know. I don't know that I can answer all your question since I haven't been here that long myself, but I'll answer anything that I can to the best of my ability."
no subject
Celestia paused, considering. There were many things indeed that she would need to know, but she would need to prioritise, and seek the most important information first. "What are the creatures of this ship like?" she asked. "Are there many like yourself? Do they all get along?"
no subject
Cassie thought over the question for a moment, trying to come up with the best answer possible. "I... haven't met everyone yet, but I know that there are other humans- others like me- on the ship, although I can't really guess at how many, outside of those who came from my own world. There appear to be many other sentient beings on the ship though, most of whom I don't recognize. It would be impossible to list them all." She hesitated as she considered the next part of Celestia's question. "I haven't been here long enough to see first hand, but my understanding from those that I've spoken to is that everyone doesn't always get along, but that conflicts are dealt with as they appear."

Cassie tilted her head, watching the pony carefully. "Is there anything else that you'd like to ask, Princess?"

And with that, Celestia trolled towards the mess hall entrance, set on exploring some more of this unusual ship.
