The fine fine line.
In this world there were givers and there were takers.
The helpful, and the help themselves.
Jinx was for the time being one of the latter. Though the coarse of her short few years of life before the Earth was destroyed she had spent most of it firmly in the mindset of taking care of herself first. Up until recently that mindset had done pretty well by her.
But here she was now, adrift in space both literally and metaphorically speaking. She had worked all her young life for respect, perfecting her body, training her abilities. Scheming and plotting into the wee hours of the morning some days and what had that gotten her?
A backhand from a selfish woman she had looked up to.
Jinx had taken a few days to adjust to the sudden change in surroundings, hunkering down in a few areas, learning what she could. Now was the time for exploration. The ship had things she could use, information she wanted, skills she could learn, and who knew what other treasures she could stumble upon. She just had to find them.

The Media Library
So it stood to reason that in her settling into life on Stacy she would need to know just what sort of information she had at her disposal, and the library seemed like a good place to start. Still it was like no library she had every seen.
Not seeing anyone else immediately, she began to wander about examining the technology closely, but not yet touching anything. She had all the time in the world so there was no sense in hurrying.
The Hanger
There were however, some skills she had always had an interest in picking up but the crime based opportunity had never come to be, and one of them was flying.
There was a thrill in giving god and fate the finger and hurling yourself out into space trusting only your skill and (In Jinx's case unnatural) amount of luck to save you. But flying an actual ship had to have a feeling of power and control to it. A feeling she very much wanted to have.
Because for how exciting and exhilarating it was to leave things to chance, it was just as important for her to be able to regain control.
And so here she was idly pacing in between the giant robots, star fighters and...was that a blue phone booth?

He was fitting the custom items he had bought a while ago on the last shore leave and hadn't had the chance to put them in till today. A small doll of a little girl in a gothic lolita outfit sad on one of the wings of the starfighter and the sounds of humming to the electronic music where coming from said doll.

While not much of a gear head she had spent enough time around Gizmo to recognize various tools and machines. The problem was more putting them together to figure out what he was doing. It was like a puzzle really. Those parts he was working with looked newish, but different and their difference was likely the entire purpose. But what could that purpose be?

He chuckled, the doll paused her humming for a moment and then continued her cheerful tune once she knew it was all safe.

Either way she wanted to see if she could learn more just from watching, best to play it coy for the time being. She moved graceful and light up the side of the craft to a better view point where she continued to watch silently.

He put his tool down and wipes the oil from his hands on a rag before wiping his brow and smiling at the girl. She's cute, never thought I'd see someone pull off pink hair ever since the Korhal Batriders Club.

"I'm hoping to learn how to fly one since we've got so much more time on our hands now."

"You might want to talk to command about that then. They're the ones who teach new aspiring pilots. You might even get one of the x-wings they have in the hangar or a fighter of your own if you do well enough in the tests."

The doll doesn't move, but her voice is heard nonetheless. Small and sweet, "Hello~ Nice ta meet ya."

She watched him work for another minute and then, "Have you been around here long? Out of the pods I mean?"
no subject
"Yes and no I guess? It's kinda hard to tell time around here, but I know for sure I'm from the previous pods before this last one. Sure feels like an eternity tho. I'd wager a month? Maybe two? Even if I want to say it's been a few years." He laughed.

"The Ohm remind me of the biggest threat in my world, so it's not that shocking to me really. Faced em' in a space battle not too long ago. When we were near a planet doing a mission? Or was it shore leave? Either or, don't matter. A fleet of them showed up. And it was up to Star Command to put an end to them."
"Sure we beat them back and acquired some new intel... but we took heavy damage. No losses, but it took quite some time to get the ships that we didn't lose back in shape."

"Apparently it wasn't until recently that they made big progress as far as the big threat is involved. The last star battle."

"But like I said. I don't plan on losing this fight. Not now, or ever, for as long as I'm up and going."

He chuckled, remembering Miguel was that kind of brute. Might not have been the brightest tool in the shed, but man could that mofo break ya apart in a sec.

But well...even when it was just her, Gizmo and Mammoth things never came easy.

"You talk as if it never happened that way tho, somethin' went wrong I take it?"

It was always fun talking to the playful rogue types. They always made conversations and occurrences that much more playful.
Exploring The City (ooc: She'll be moving around so any place you wish to introduce her to?)
For now only one was necessary. A place she could go to think, a place for plotting. To stash any loot and to hide when she had to.
Unfortunately there were alot of factors to making a proper hideout and one of them involved knowing who your neighbors would be. So for now she had to cover land and make notes. It was hard enough to determine which buildings were in inhabited in some cases as the owners weren't home.
Leaping and springing from roof to roof gave the pink haired girl a particular perspective of the word spread out below her. Every so often she would stop and examine a place, peering in the windows or listening for life, her mind buzzing with possibility.
Here, away from the all seeing eyes of Stacy so much wicked work could be done. It was all a matter of how.

"Ah, sorry. Didn't see you there. You're new, right?"
Re: Exploring The City (ooc: She'll be moving around so any place you wish to introduce her to?)
"Yeah, just seeing what the "big city" as to offer." She remarked innocently.
