One more reason to keep on going
Irma was gone. Matt was gone. Just about everyone from their universe seemed to have been podded, and Kaya decided, in the wake of this, that she should still make sure the classrooms were kept clean. The place she was staying, Will's room with all of the gymnastics, had been clean after Kaya ad attempted a fairly rigorous workout. She had made sure that Matt's wares were stocked, the common room swept and cleaned, so that when the other came around, they would have a nice place to sit and talk.
First there was Cornelia's room, with all of its earth nation goodness and flowers, making sure that the architecture was carefully polished and everything watered so nothing was neglected. She couldn't help passing by this room and thinking of Toph.
Then she moved onto Hay Lin's room, which never failed to remind her of Aang with all of its wind implements, very much something an airbender would have loved: she would have to make sure to tell both Aang and Nima about it if they had the chance to visit. It always seemed so big and grand and open to her, as she thought the element air should anyhow.
Tarnee's room, while once making her wary with its affiliation for fire, was gotten over once you stepped inside: it was kept in balance with all of the books and the globes that were a representation of energy everywhere. She always loved coming here to expand her mind a bit, and it was a perfect reflection of an intellectual girl Kaya never had the pleasure of meeting.
And then, of course, there was Irma's room. She knew there was an obvious bias here, stepping into the room that reflected her best, with all of its watery element and the ability to swim in and out of the water that surrounded the room. She was cleaning here a little, and then could not help herself: she discarded her clothing, wrapped only in her underclothes and jumped in, allowing the underwater environment to envelop her. Perhaps her favorite thing about this place was how she could still breathe underwater.
She was so entranced, she did not notice anyone coming in.

Between Fontaine and him, it took the better part of ten minutes for one to convince the other that it was even a good idea to enter. It wasn't that he particularly cared about running into the other people who lived there, he just had no idea where Kaya was amongst what she had described as a 'very spacious place filled with many rooms.'
Ah, well! That just meant it was time for an adventure of exploration--something he would happily engage in. It was just a simple matter of tracking, anyways. He tried to keep himself focused on the task at hand, though it was hard when everything was so fresh and new!
Soon enough he found himself strolling around in Irma's room, which he would have started gushing over in wide-eyed awe, but it seemed he'd found who he was searching for. Walking to the edge of the pool Kaya was swimming in, he crouched and peered down into the water.
no subject
"Hello Nokosi!" She greeted him. "How are you and Fontaine?"
no subject
His voice was jovial, as was his expression and he stood up to face her. Fontaine warily looked at the pool on both the floor and walls as if he expected something to jump from them at any moment.
"And how are you this day?"
no subject
Zhin, who had her head laid down in her paws right now, observed the visitors with an almost bored expression, which meant she was fairly certain they were no threat to Kaya.
"I'm doing well! Just tending to the rooms right now: wherever Matt is, I know he'd want me to make sure these were used for their purposes: they are classrooms, after all."
no subject
This was a classroom?
"I see. Who else lives upon this vehicle and makes use of these classrooms?" Truth be told, as soon as he had a chance he was going to run around and look at the other rooms in the place as well.
no subject
She walked over to where she had abandoned her clothing earlier and dressed herself. "Did you want to explore some of the others?"
no subject
"But yes, I would very much like to! Exploring is one of my favorite pastimes. Tell me, how many other rooms are there?"
no subject
Kaya thought a moment. "There's the common area of course, and then there's the actual classrooms. Each of the classrooms have aspects of the elements the girl's represent. This room is Irma's, and she is obviously a water element. Then there's Hay Lin's, which is air, Cornelia's, which is earth based, Tarnee's, which is fie, and Will, who was the heart and energy, has several exercise items there. After that are the dorms, the astronomy area, and the library. So there are actually several rooms here I might not even know about."
no subject
Fontaine huffed and walked his way over to the entrance of the room. The wolf already knew that this was going to be a long day.

Upon arriving at Irma's old room, the girl not sure if she should leave everything as it was or change it, Asuna's eyes widened a bit at seeing someone who wasn't Irma or anyone that she knew in the pool. A newcomer?
The extra set of clothes near the pool were also a sort of giveaway.
"Hello?"
no subject
"Oh, hi," she said, offering the girl a smile. "I'm sorry we haven't had a chance to get acquainted. You're Negi's partner Asuna, aren't you?"
no subject
"...Yeah. Student 8, Kagurazaka Asuna. I've been busy myself lately. How do you know Negi?"
no subject
"Well, I've sort of been looking after him, as his onee-sama," Kaya said, still trying to get used to the word. "When he first got here, I think he was missing his sister and all, so he stayed with me awhile. I only stopped staying because his mother and you came, so I figure he might want some time with the people from his world, and I had to look after my Outsiders."
She reddened slightly. "Also? I would come here for Matt."
no subject
"Yeah...not just his sister, but all of us. It's been difficult for him but he's doing okay."
Outsiders? Were they some kind of team or a club? Plus, notice how Asuna didn't mention how she had been holding up.
no subject
She shook her head, and was sort of curious. "Have you been adjusting all right?"
no subject
Hearing Kaya's question caused Asuna to jerk her head slightly, but she did her best to keeep her eyes from wandering too much. "...Let's just say I've had my fair share of problems since arriving. I'll deal."
no subject
She said the word in jest, but of course had no idea how accurate it might actually be.
Kaya certainly did notice that, but nodded. "Well, you don't really know me, so you have no reason to tell, but I would happily listen to any problem you had. You did know Matt too, right? You must, since you live here with Negi."

Later! Or, Eat This, Temporal Linearity!
Re: Later! Or, Eat This, Temporal Linearity!
And wow, he was quite easy on the eyes, no doubt about THAT. Still, she wasn't here to gawk, so she ushered him in.
"Glad to see you could make it! Um, is everything all right?"
no subject
"I was trying to avoid the Jedi Temple," he said, shaking his head as he stepped inside. "Bad memories, that's all. Don't mind me..."
Well. This place certainly didn't look to be this large on the outside. He really shouldn't have been surprised, but somehow he had failed to realize he was stepping into a reasonably-sized bus.
no subject
"Right this way," she said, leading him into the common room. She already had something akin to a roast in the center of the table, accompanied by very alien looking vegetables as side dishes. "I thought you might be hungry, but I didn't know your food preferences."
no subject
no subject
"It's no problem at all: I figure by now, what you've had for sustenance was hardy to your liking. We talked briefly, but I don't believe I got your name."
